This brief presents a low-noise, low-offset bandgap reference for the biomedical electronic systems application. In order to reduce the low-frequency noise and increase the accuracy, the low-frequency noise/offset elimination technique based on current-mode bandgap reference (BGR) is proposed. Besides, this BGR utilizes a proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) resistor feedback technique to minimize the low-frequency noise and offset from the current mirrors. The proposed BGR is implemented in a 180 nm deep n-well CMOS process occupying an active area of 0.0725 mm 2. The measured results indicate that the BGR outputs 0.6 V voltage and consumes $69~\mu \text{A}$ current under 1.2 V supply voltage. It can achieve $3.5~\mu \text{V}$ (rms) noise from 0.1 to 10 Hz and a 0.21% DC accuracy.

The novel nanozyme has been used in the detection field as biosensor, but has also been employed in new fields like antibacterial and inhibiting of biofilm growth applications. This paper reports the rapid preparation of the nanozyme PS-CDs-MnO 2 with oxidase activity by using PS-CDs as reducing agent to reduce KMnO 4. The mechanisms of positive electrical property of PS-CDs-MnO 2 and the single linear oxygen (1O 2) have promised the broad-spectrum antibacterial ability and high efficiency in eliminating bacteria, with 48 h long-term antibacterial effect. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis), Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) at 7.50 μg/mL, 60 μg/mL, 15 μg/mL and 60 μg/mL, respectively. The prepared PS-CDs-MnO 2 could effectively inhibit the formation of S. aureus biofilm at the concentration of 10 μg/mL. The visually sensitive and selective sensing platform based on PS-CDs-MnO 2 -TMB was established, and realized the colorimetric detection of tiopronin (TPN) with a detection range at 285.71 nM–14.28 μM and detection limit at 6.30 nM. This research provides a good theoretical and practical basis for the preparation of oxidase nanozyme and its application in detection, antibacterial and inhibition of biofilm formation fields. ABSTRACTA prototype of beam profile measurement system developed by the Institute of Modern Physics, which can work in the proportional region and ionization region, respectively, by adjusting the pressure and voltage, has been tested several times and achieved the design expectation. When the working pressure of the detector is low enough, the system can work in the secondary electron mode to measure the fast extraction beam profile too. The measurement system has been used to measure the profile of carbon ion beam in the Second Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou in slow extraction mode and fast extraction mode, respectively. It is confirmed that the measurement system can measure the profile of carbon ion beam with a dynamic range of beam intensity up to six orders of magnitude. We used the X-ray beam to simulate the Gaussian-like distribution for laboratory testing, and the results show that the measurement system has a better resolution than 0.1 mm for the beam position with a Sigma of about 1.6 mm. This measurement system, together with the harps measurement system, will be able to meet needs of most beam profile measurements in High energy Fragment Separator (HFRS) at High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF).

Beam position measurement system can not only provide the beam position monitoring, but also be used for global orbit correction to reduce beam loss risk and maximize acceptance. The Beam Position Monitors (BPM) are installed along the synchrotron to acquire beam position with the front-end electronics and data acquisition system (DAQ). To realize high precision orbit measurement in the main heavy ion synchrotron and cooling storage ring of heavy-ion research facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL-CSRm), a series of alignment and calibration work has been implemented on the BPM and its DAQ system. This paper analyzed the tests performed in the laboratory as well as with beam based on the developed algorithms and hardware. Several filtering algorithms were designed and implemented on the acquired BPM raw data, then the beam position and resolution were calculated and analyzed. The results show that the position precision was significantly improved from more than 100 μm to about 50 μm by implementing the new designed filtering algorithm. According to the analyzation of the measurement results and upcoming physical requirements, further upgrade scheme for the BPM DAQ system of CSRm based on field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology was proposed and discussed.

In this work, the effect of Ge content on the soft magnetic properties and microstructure of FeSiGe soft magnetic powder cores (SMPCs) was systematically investigated. The results show that the addition of Ge is beneficial to increase the electrical resistivity of Fe93.5-xSi6.5GexSMPCs, and the coercivity (Hc) shows a trend of decreasing and then increasing with the increase of Ge content. When the content of Ge is 2 wt%, the SMPCs exhibit the best magnetic properties with stable effective permeability of 78.4 up to 1 MHz, low core loss of 589.5 mW/cm3at a maximum magnetic induction of 0.1 T and frequency of 50 kHz. By doping with Ge, the micro-vortex dots in the magnetic domain structure are reduced and the domain walls move more easily with the applied field, and the magnetic properties are improved.

This work reports an upgrading reuse of construction-generated sludge waste (CGSM) to manufacture value-added building materials using hydrothermal mineralization (HM). The optimization of mixture proportions and the influential factors of curing temperature and duration were explored. Results showed that high-strength HM-CGSW blocks over 50 MPa with a strength-to-calcium ratio of 2.95 MPa/percentage can be produced under an optimal Ca/Si ratio of 0.5 and HM curing of 200 °C for 12 h. The production of HM-CGSW block would generate 305.81 kg e-CO2/m3and cost of 222.44 CNY/m3, lower than those of concrete block and autoclaved fly-ash block. An industrial application of HM-CGSW was proposed for upgrading use of CGSW to produce building materials for new constructions. The findings in this study would not only deepen the mechanistic understandings of HM treatment of sludge waste, but also shed much light on developing an industrial path that enables sustainable building material production.

The continuous upsurge of tourism consumption activities has promoted economic development, but at the same time, it has also produced numerous problems, such as low-quality service and high admission prices at scenic spots, which are not conducive to the sustainable development of tourism. In this paper, in view of the phenomenon of low-quality service of scenic spots, a three-party evolutionary game model of scenic spots, tourists, and government is constructed under the participation of tourists and the reward-subsidy mechanism and punishment mechanism, and a simulation analysis is performed using the NetLogo platform. The results show that, under the reward-subsidy and punishment mechanisms, the service strategy selection of scenic spots will eventually evolve to provide high-quality services, tourists will eventually choose the no-complaint strategy, and the government will eventually evolve to provide active supervision.

Objectives: To compare the iatrogenic radial nerve injury (iRNI) rate of different implant (plate vs.intramedullary nail) and surgical approaches during humeral shaft fracture surgery. Methods: The online PubMed database was used to search for articles describing iRNI after humeral fracture with a publication date from Jan 2000 to October 2023. The following types of articles were selected: (1) case series associating with adult humeral shaft fracture, preoperative radial nerve continuity, non-pathological fracture and non-periprosthetic fracture; (2) involving humeral shaft (OTA/AO 12) fractures. Articles where we were unable to judge surgical approach or fracture pattern (OTA/AO 12) were excluded. The data were analyzed by SPSS 27.0 and Chi-square test was performed to identify incidence of iRNI associated with different implant and surgical approaches. Results: Fifty-four articles with 5063 cases were included, with 3510 cases of the plate, 830 cases of intramedullary nail and 723 cases of uncertain internal fixation. The incidences of iRNI with plate and intramedullary nail were 5.95% (209/3510) and 2.77% (23/830) (p< 0.05). And iRNI incidences of different surgical approaches were 3.7% (3/82) for deltopectoral approach, 5.74% (76/1323) for anterolateral approach, 13.54% (26/192) for lateral approach and 6.68% (50/749) for posterior approach. The iRNI rates were 0.00% (0/33) for anteromedial MIPO, 2.67% (10/374) for anterolateral MIPO and 5.40% (2/37) for posterior MIPO (p> 0.05). The iRNI rates were 2.87% (21/732) for anterograde intramedullary nail and 2.04% (2/98) for retrograde intramedullary nail (p> 0.05). In humeral bone nonunion surgery, the rate of iRNI was 15.00% (9/60) for anterolateral approach, 16.7% (2/12) for lateral approach and 18.2% (6/33) for posterior approach (p> 0.05). Conclusion: Intramedullary nailing is the preferred method of internal fixation for humeral shaft fractures that has the lowest rate of iRNI. Compared with anterolateral and posterior approaches, the lateral surgical approach had a higher incidence of iRNI. The rate of iRNI in MIPO was lower than that in open reduction and internal fixation. Level of evidence: Level IV.

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials with ultrathin, flexible, superior mechanical and thermal management properties are highly desirable for smart and wearable electronics. Here, ultrathin and flexible Ni/Cu/metallic glass/Cu/Ni (Ni/Cu/MG) multilayer composite with alternate magnetic and electrical structures was designed via facial electroless plating of Cu and Ni on an Fe-based metallic glass. The resultant 0.02 mm-thick Ni/Cu/MG composite displays a superior EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of 35 dB and a great EMI SE/t of 1750 dB/mm, which is greater than those of composites with monotonous multilayer or homogeneous structures. The improved EMI SE originates from the massive ohmic losses, the enhanced internal reflection/absorption, and the abundant interfacial polarization loss. Particularly, Ni/Cu/MG exhibits a high tensile strength of up to 1.2 GPa and outstanding mechanical stability, enabling the EMI SE remains unchanged after 10,000 times of bending. Moreover, Ni/Cu/MG has excellent Joule heating characteristics and thermal stability, which is very suitable for heating components of wearable hyperthermia devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Neuropeptide Y (NPY) has been well known to induce Cardiomyocyte Hypertrophy (CH), which is possibly caused by disruption of cardiac cell energy balance. As mitochondria is losely related to energy metabolism, in this study, we investigated the changes in mitochondrial Dynamics-related protein (Drp1) expression under the action of NPY. miRNA-29a, a endogenous noncoding small molecule RNA which is involved in many cardiac diseases, by using a bioinformatics tool, we found a potential binding site of miRNA-29a on the Drp1 mRNA, and suggesting that miRNA-29a might play a regulatory role. Objective: To investigate the role of miR-29a-3p in the process of NPY-induced CH, and further explore it’s predicted relationship with Drp1. Methods: The expression levels of miR-29a-3p and Atrial Natriuretic Peptide (ANP) were performed by the method of fluorescence quantitative PCR, in addition, expression of Drp1 in treated and control groups were performed by western blot analysis.] Results: We found NPY leads to the CH and up-regulation of ANP expression levels. We also found significant up-regulation of Drp1 expression and down-regulation of miR-29a-3p expression in NPY-treated cells. The decrease in miR-29a-3p expression may lead the increase expression level of Drp1. We found that the expression of ANP increased after NPY treatment. When Drp1 protein was silenced, the high expression of ANP was inhibited. Conclusion: In this study, we found up-regulation of Drp1 in cells treated with NPY. Drp1 mRNA is a predicted target for miR-29a-3p, and the expression of Drp1 was attenuated by miR-29a-3p. Therefore, NPY leads to down-regulation of miR-29a-3p expression, up-regulation of Drp1 expression, and NPY leads to CH. Correspondingly, miR-29a-3p can counteract the effects of NPY. This may be a new way, which could be used in diagnosis and treatment plan for CH.

Background:Cyclophosphamide is one of the most important chemotherapeutic drugs. Known as a widely accepted treatment strategy, chemotherapy may damage the immune function of cancer patients; as a result, invasive fungal infections (IFIs) occur. Triazole antifungal agents are the most acceptable drugs for IFI treatment, especially those infections caused by chemotherapy. Objective:We aimed to investigate the effects of different triazole antifungal drugs, including fluconazole, itraconazole, and ketoconazole, on the pharmacokinetics (PK) of cyclophosphamide. In addition, we also characterize the potential drug-drug interactions (DDIs) between cyclophosphamide and various triazole antifungal drugs. Methods:The necessary pharmacokinetic parameters and physicochemical data were obtained from published studies. Physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models were developed and validated in virtual subjects using Simcyp software. The validated PBPK models were used to evaluate potential DDIs between cyclophosphamide and different triazole antifungal agents in cancer patients. Triazole antifungal agents were simulated by oral administration, whereas cyclophosphamide was simulated by intravenous administration. Results:Simulated plasma concentration-time curves of fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, and cyclophosphamide were in good consistency with the observed profiles. Our results suggested that the pharmacokinetic parameters of cyclophosphamide were increased by various extents when coadministered with different triazole antifungals. The area under the plasma concentration-time curve of cyclophosphamide was increased when combined with fluconazole, itraconazole, or ketoconazole. Conclusions and Relevance:Ketoconazole had the greatest effect on the PK of cyclophosphamide among the 3 triazole antifungals. Our study provides clues that the toxicity and adverse drug reactions that are associated with cyclophosphamide should be closely monitored when coadministered with ketoconazole.

AbstractChinese herbal medicines have been extensively used in China and other countries for centuries. Aconitine, a diterpenoid alkaloid extracted from Aconitumplants, has anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities, but can also induce severe arrhythmia and neurotoxicity. Aconitine poisoning accidents caused by misuse, suicide, or homicide have been reported in recent years. In China, fatal aconitine poisoning can occasionally happen on account of accidental ingestion of some wild plants or consumption of herbal decoction made from the roots of Aconitumplants. However, it is rather difficult for forensic experts to find the specific results in present forensic autopsy of aconitine-induced death. To further clarify its potential risk following the widespread application of aconitine, toxicological characteristics and pharmacokinetics of aconitine are reviewed. Moreover, gastrointestinal, neurological, and cardiovascular symptoms were observed frequently in aconitine poisoning cases. In addition, the review also aims at providing some convincing evidences for forensic experts to identify unexplained death with postmortem examination.

Characteristic development is a process of intentionally solidifying and cultivating something's uniqueness. This article analyzes the uniqueness of university library cultural services in comparison with those provided by other service institutions. Furthermore, this article reveals the differences between cultural services and other types of library services. Based on these analyses, this constructive research finds a way to achieve cultural services' characteristic development by taking service factors as the breakthrough point. The main strategies include building a professional service team, focusing on user demands, constructing characteristic resources, optimizing service spaces and facilities, and upgrading service brands; all of these strategies should be developed round the issue of culture. Finally, corresponding to the above strategies, this paper article the measures and effects of Wuhan University Library cultural services to share their experience.

Spectasterols A–E (1–5), aromatic ergosterols with unique ring systems, were isolated from Aspergillus spectabilis. Compounds 1and 2possess a 6/6/6/5/5 ring system with an additional cyclopentene, while 3and 4have an uncommon 6/6/6/6 ring system generated by the D-ring expansion via 1,2-alkyl shifts. Compound 3exhibited cytotoxic activity (IC506.9 μM) and induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in HL60 cells. Compound 3was anti-inflammatory; it decreased COX-2 levels at the transcription and protein levels and inhibited the nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65.

A preliminary phytochemical investigation on the EtOAc extracts of the fungus Bipolarissp. TJ403-B1 resulted in the identification of 12 ophiobolin-type phytotoxins (1–12), including nine new ones, termed bipolaricins A–I (1–9). The structures of 1–9were elucidated via spectroscopic data (including HRESIMS and 1D and 2D NMR) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (Cu Kα) analyses. All of the isolated compounds were tested in terms of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitory, anti-inflammatory, and cytotoxic activities. Compound 10showed HMG-CoA reductase inhibitory activity (IC50= 8.4 ± 0.4 μM), and 2, 3, and 10–12showed significant inhibitory potency against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide production, with IC50values in the range of 5.1 ± 0.3 to 20 ± 1 μM. Further experiments showed that 10could significantly inhibit the production of IL-1β, RANTES, MIP-1β, and TNF-α as well as enhance the release of IL-13 in macrophages through the inhibition of HO-1 induction as well as the NF-κB pathway. These findings provide a scientific rationale for an anti-inflammatory therapeutic and a template for a new HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor to produce a potential anti-hyperlipidemia agent.

Alterbrassinoids A–D (1–4), the first examples of fusicoccane-derived diterpenoid dimers furnished by forming an undescribed C-12–C-18′ linkage, were isolated from modified cultures of Alternaria brassicicola. Compounds 1and 2represent unprecedented heterodimers, whereas 3and 4represent unprecedented homodimers, and 4also features an undescribed anhydride motif. Their structures were assigned via spectroscopic methods, electronic circular dichroism calculations, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Putative biosynthetic pathways and a bioactivity evaluation for 1–4were discussed.

Periconiastone A (1), an ergosterol with an unprecedented pentacyclo[8.7.0.01,5.02,14.010,15]heptadecane system, was isolated from Periconiasp. TJ403-rc01. Its structure was assigned by extensive spectroscopic analyses and quantum-chemical 13C NMR and ECD calculations. A vinylogous α-ketol rearrangement and an aldol condensation reaction during biosynthesis were proposed as key steps for the formation of 1. Compound 1showed antibacterial activity against Gram-positive S. aureusand E. faecaliswith MIC values of 4 and 32 μg/mL, respectively.

Background: Formaldehyde is widely acknowledged as a carcinogen, but as an important organic reagent, it has also been widely employed in the fields of chemical synthesis, industrial production and biomedicine. It is therefore of great practical significance for the detection of formaldehyde in food, clothing, daily necessities, construction materials and environments. Methods: The two silicon QDs, that are, DAMO-Si-QDs (with N-[3-(Trimethoxysilyl) propyl] ethylenediamine as silicon source) and APTMS-Si-QDs (with (3-Aminopropyl) trimethoxysilane as silicon source) as the fluorescence probe to detect formaldehyde in both water and organic phases. Results: Silicon QDs prepared by different silicon sources exhibit an obvious difference in their tolerances to the environment and the responses to formaldehyde. However, APTMS-Si-QDs show better selectivity in both water and organic phases. In Tris-HCl solution (20.00mmol•L-1, pH=5), the formaldehyde concentration maintains an excellent linear relationship with the fluorescence intensity of APTMS-Si-QDs in the range of 3.1250-7-3.1250-5 mol•L-1, with correlation coefficient R2= 0.9998. In methanol, the formaldehyde concentration maintains an excellent linear relationship with the fluorescence intensity of APTMS-Si-QDs in the range of 1.5630-7-3.1250-5 mol•L-1, with correlation coefficient R2= 0.9992. Conclusion: It is found that DAMO-Si-QDs show poor response to the presence of formaldehyde, while APTMS-Si-QDs got a strong, sensitive and selective response to that in both aqueous and organic phases. In the Tris-HCl buffer (20 mmol•L-1, pH=5), the linear range for formaldehyde detection reaches 3.1250-7-3.1250-5 mol•L-1, and for the detection in the organic phase, the linear range reaches 1.5630-7-3.1250-5 mol•L-1, in methanol solution. The paper provides a sensitive, selective and simple means for formaldehyde detection in both aqueous and organic phase.

Emeriones A–C (1–3), three highly methylated polyketides with bicyclo[4.2.0]octene and 3,6-dioxabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane functionalities, were isolated from Emericella nidulans. An additional peroxide bridge in compound 3led to the construction of an unexpected 7,8-dioxatricyclo[4.2.2.02,5]decene scaffold. The structures of 1–3were elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic techniques, and their absolute configurations were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray crystallographic analyses and ECD calculations. Compound 1shows weak inhibitory effects on NO production in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells.

The nonlinear absorption behavior of thick polystyrene sample was experimentally investigated and theoretically analyzed. As polystyrene is transparent to the applied laser wavelength, the absorption was mainly through nonlinear absorption by the bulk material. The effective second order nonlinear absorption coefficient (β) was determined with the z scan technique. The nonlinear behavior at different laser powers: 5.2 mW, 10.4 mW, 14.4 mW and 23.5 mW were investigated. The transmittance of laser energy was measured and a significant change was observed with different sample distance from the laser focal plane. By treating the thick polystyrene sample as a stack of thin layers, the effective nonlinear absorption coefficient was determined to be 0.000695 m/W with a standard deviation of 0.000026.

In this investigation, a picosecond laser was employed to fabricate surface textures on a Stavax steel substrate, which is a key material for mold fabrication in the manufacturing of various polymer products. Three main types of surface textures were fabricated on a Stavax steel substrate: periodic ripples, a two-scale hierarchical two-dimensional array of micro-bumps, and a micro-pits array with nano-ripples. The wettability of the laser-textured Stavax steel surface was converted from its original hydrophilicity into hydrophobicity and even super-hydrophobicity after exposure to air. The results clearly show that this super-hydrophobicity is mainly due to the surface textures. The ultrafast laser-induced catalytic effect may play a secondary role in modifying the surface chemistry so as to lower the surface energy. The laser-induced surface textures on the metal mold substrates were then replicated onto polypropylene substrates via the polymer injection molding process. The surface wettability of the molded polypropylene was found to be changed from the original hydrophilicity to super-hydrophobicity. This developed process holds the potential to improve the performance of fabricated plastic products in terms of wettability control and easy cleaning.

This paper is devoted to studying the following Kirchhoff equation where Ω⊂R3is a bounded connected domain and ∫Ω|u|2dx=1. The results of existence and nonexistence on L2-norm solutions are given. Our argument shows that the blow-up behavior of L2-norm solution occurs, and the mass concentrates at an inner point of Ω, or the neighborhood of some boundary point.

Breast cancer causes great threats to public health worldwide. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between Ki-67 expression and the hemodynamics of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in patients with infiltrative ductal carcinoma (IDC). CEUS was performed on 109 masses in 85 IDC cases before resection. Based on the immunohistochemical staining on the antigen Ki-67, the masses were divided into negative group, weakly positive group, positive group, and strong-positive group. Significant statistical differences were noticed in time to peak, arrive intensity, and peak intensity in the positive groups compared with the negative group. Compared with the positive groups, the negative group showed significant statistical differences in arrive intensity and peak intensity. The antigen Ki-67 was positively correlated with arrived intensity, intensity changes, and rising curve's slope. In contrast, it was negatively correlated with arrived time, time to peak, and continuous time. The hemodynamic parameters of CEUS were correlated with the expression of antigen Ki-67. On this basis, Ki-67 is an effective supplement to the diagnosis of IDC.

In this paper, we demonstrated a simple method to create either a hydrophilic or hydrophobic surface. With femtosecond laser irradiation at different laser parameters, the water contact angle (WCA) on polystyrene’s surface can be modified to either 12.7° or 156.2° from its original WCA of 88.2°. With properly spaced micro-pits created, the surface became hydrophilic probably due to the spread of the water droplets into the micro-pits. While with properly spaced micro-grooves created, the surface became rough and more hydrophobic. We investigated the effect of laser parameters on WCAs and analyzed the laser-treated surface roughness, profiles and chemical bonds by surface profilometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). For the laser-treated surface with low roughness, the polar (such as C—O, C=O, and O—C=O bonds) and non-polar (such as C—C or C—H bonds) groups were found to be responsible for the wettability changes. While for a rough surface, the surface roughness or the surface topography structure played a more significant role in the changes of the surface WCA. The mechanisms involved in the laser surface wettability modification process were discussed.

In recent years, calcium peroxide (CaO2) has attracted widespread attention in the medical community due to its excellent antitumor and antibacterial properties, and has gradually become a hot research topic in the biomedical field. CaO2reacts with water (H2O) to produce calcium ion (Ca2+), oxygen (O2), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), where Ca2+is suitable for calcium death caused by calcium overload, O2is suitable for O2-dependent anticancer therapy, and H2O2is suitable for H2O2-dependent anticancer therapy. In addition, H2O2can also be used in the antibacterial field to treat bacterial infections. All these make the CaO2to become a kind of excellent antitumor and antibacterial drug. This study mainly reviews the preparation and surface modification of CaO2, probes into the latest progress about CaO2nanoparticles in the field of tumor treatment and antimicrobial therapy. Finally, the challenges that CaO2still faces in the future research field are clarified, and its prospects are forecasted.
