The article discusses the enhancement of the Global Land Survey (GLS+) dataset, a collection of Landsat images of the Earth's surface designed to provide one image that represents the peak growing season of each epoch for each World Reference System (WRS) tile. Topics covered include the history of GLS, challenges to analyses such as excessive cloud cover, inaccurate or absent calibration metadata and sensor artefacts, and the replacement and addition of Landsat scenes to each GLS epoch.
