Human riboflavin transporter 2 (RFT2) encoded by the SLC52A3gene is a member of the SLC52family that has been shown to play a key role in riboflavin homeostasis. Recently, a number of studies have shown that RFT2 is important in the development of several cancers, including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, gastric cancer, and cervical cancer. However, its expression and function in glioma have not yet been explored. In this study, we found that RFT2 was overexpressed in glioma samples compared with normal brain tissue. Furthermore, RFT2 expression was correlated with WHO grade (P<0.001). Silencing of RFT2 resulted in inhibition of glioma cell proliferation through promotion of cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Expression of proteins known to regulate cell cycle or apoptosis including p21, p27, BCL-2, and BAX was notably altered in RFT2-depleted cells. Furthermore, silencing of RFT2 impeded the migration and invasion of glioma cells through suppression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 and matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression. In addition to blocking cell proliferation in vitro, reduction of RFT2 levels also decreased tumor growth in vivo. These data suggest that RFT2 could be an attractive therapeutic target for the treatment of glioma.

To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling plus acupoint sticking therapy for primary dysmenorrhea. A total of 60 eligible cases were randomly allocated into a treatment group (n=30) and a control group (n=30) according to their sequence of consultation. Patients in the treatment group were treated with warm needling combined with acupoint sticking therapy, whereas patients in the control group were treated with oral Ibuprofen (Fenbid) capsules. After two menstrual cycles, the visual analogue scale (VAS) score, COX menstrual symptom scale (CMSS) and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. After treatment, the VAS and CMSS scores were significantly reduced in both groups, indicating that both treatment protocols can remarkably alleviate pain. There was a between-group statistical difference in comparing the CMSS score (P<0.05), but no between-group statistical difference in the VAS score (P>0.05). However, the follow-up visit showed between-group statistical differences in comparing VOA and CMSS scores (both P<0.01). The clinical effect, relapse rate and long-term efficacy in the treatment group were better than those in the control group. Warm needling plus acupoint sticking therapy is a simple but effective therapy for primary dysmenorrhea. In addition, it causes fewer cases with relapse. 观察温针加穴位贴敷治疗原发性痛经的临床疗效。 将符合条件的60 例患者按就诊的先后顺序采用随机数字表分为治疗组和药物组, 每组30 例, 治疗组采用温针加穴位贴敷, 对照组口服芬必得胶囊, 治疗两个月经周期, 然后对比两组患者治疗后视觉模拟量表(visual analogue scale, VAS)评分、COX 痛经症状量表(COX menstrual symptom scale, CMSS) 评分及临床疗效。 治疗后, 两组患者疼痛VAS 评分及CMSS 评分均明显降低, 说明两种治疗方案均可明显缓解痛经患者的疼痛。治疗后, CMSS 评分组间差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),而疼痛VAS 评分差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。随访时, 两组患者疼痛VAS 评分及CMSS 评分差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.01)。治疗组临床疗效、复发率和远期疗效均优于药物组。 温针加穴位贴敷治疗原发性痛经疗效确切, 操作简便, 见效明显, 且复发率低, 值得临床推广使用。

As a part of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) development the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) has been reported to play a crucial role in regulating cognition and can be used as a neuronal marker. Neuro-inflammation is also a cause of the pathophysiological process in AD. Thus, we examined the protein expression levels of mTOR and its downstream pathways as well as pro-inflammatory cytokines (PICs) in the brain of AD rats. We further examined the effects of blocking mTOR on PICs, namely IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α. Our results showed that the protein expression of p-mTOR, mTOR-mediated phosphorylation of 4E-binding protein 4 (4E-BP1) and p70 ribosomal S6 protein kinase 1 (S6K1) pathways were amplified in the hippocampus of AD rats compared with controls. Blocking mTOR by using rapamycin selectively enhanced activities of IL-6 and TNF-α signaling pathways, which was accompanied with an increase of Caspase-3, indicating cellular apoptosis and worsened learning performance. In conclusion, our data for the first time revealed specific signaling pathways engaged in the development of AD, including a regulatory role by the activation of mTOR in PIC mechanisms. Stimulation of mTOR is likely to play a beneficial role in modulating neurological deficits in AD.Targeting one or more of these signaling molecules may present with new opportunities for treatment and clinical management of AD

With the demand of improving the second interfacial bonding strength and environmental protection, MTC cementing technology has obvious technical and economic advantages. However, due to containing lots of low-density materials and slurry treating agents, which make low strength, the application of low-density slag MTC cementing slurry system is restricted in the cementing of deep wells and low-pressure leakiness formations. According to the theory of particle distribution and based on particle size analysis of floating bead, micro silicon and slag, solid-phase proportioning design of low-density (1.35~1.55 g/cm3) slag MTC was carried out in this paper. By adjusting the adding amount of micro silicon and activators, the slag MTC cementing fluid system with the 24-hour compressive strength greater than 21.6MPa which has the density range of 1.35 to 1.55g/cm3 was get. This system has small initial consistency, short thickening transition time, low water loss and good rheological property. And at last, the mechanism of improving the strength of low-density slag MTC cementing fluid system was analyzed.

The selection and the evaluation of demonstration engineering project of housing are a complex analysis process, many projects are involved, evaluation index system are complicated, the requirements of scientific, advanced, efficiency and fairness are failed to meet with the traditional decision method. Multi-dimensional network decision support system are constructed in this paper, the construction scheme of knowledge base, model base and data warehouse are made a detailed description, the technical method of system construction are made clearly. The new decision services support is provided to select and evaluate to the demonstration project.

The advanced dispersive type high temperature filtrate reducer used in oil well cement was synthesized with 2-acryloyl-2-methyl-propyl sulfonic (AMPS) , N, N-dimethylacrylamide (DMAA) and organic acids. When the mass fraction of synthetic filtrate reducer was 1%, the filter loss of the cement slurry was 30ml/30min at 120 °C and 49ml/30min at 150°C respectively, and the cement strength was 25MPa after 24 hours, and the rheological property of the cement slurry was well when the mass fraction of synthetic filtrate reducer was 2%, and liquidity factor was 0.85, and the consistency was 0.43. The results showed that the filtrate reducer had good dispersity and could control the fluid loss efficiently, and the ability of resistance to high temperature and salt resistance was good.

This paper built a dynamic evaluation model of eco-carrying capacity of high-density residence communities by using state space representation and GPCA, and made an analysis of the model on dynamics vision,which enriched the content of residential ecological research and offered method for researches about eco-carrying capacity of residence communities.

Therefore, the quantitative expression of the endogenous disturbance and exogenous disturbance, and the long-term and short-term responses to the disturbance could be contained in a unified theoretical paradigm. It reveals the process and level of the transformation of E-commerce System and makes judgment and prediction on the status and direction of the system’s transformation according to the quantization description of E-commerce system synergy field. On the basis of dynamic mechanism, the paper constructs the cooperative field equations for synergy field and further completes the design of the theoretical structure of the synergy field.

The research of Chinese stock market show that E-commerce system has transformation mechanism, synergy field can effectively describe the transformation complexity characteristics of the E-commerce system.

Background: Palatal myoclonus (PM) is the hallmark of hypertrophic olivary degeneration (HOD); however, little is known regarding the association of thalamic lesions and PM. Case presentation: Here, we report a case of deteriorative PM after an acute small ventrolateral thalamic hemorrhage in a female Chinese patient with HOD. The sudden and severe deterioration of PM was preceded by at least 10 days of an occasionally occurring PM, which was related to an acute cerebellar hemorrhage 8 months earlier. A computed tomography scan upon admission showed a small intracerebral hematoma in the left ventrolateral thalamus, and a magnetic resonance imaging scan revealed the typical signs of HOD as well as a remote lesion in the dentate nucleus. Symptoms of PM were controlled by carbamazepine and clonazepam. Conclusion: These findings indicated that the damaged dentatothalamic tract might be due to a unique pathogenic mechanism involving a lesion of the ventrolateral thalamus and Guillain-Mollaret triangle.

BackgroundAs aging in elderly people, their brain tissue has degeneration and brain atrophy of different severity, and the volume of cranial cavity is relatively enlarged, it has greater compensatory ability to the space occupying lesion, and it is difficult to detect the meningioma because it grows to expand slowly, the tumor locates in non-functional region, and there are atypical symptoms and deficiency of localization signs.ObjectiveTo investigate the clinicopathologic features of senile meningiomas.DesignA retrospective analysis.SettingAffiliated Hospital of Hebei University.ParticipantsForty-nine elderly patients with meningioma were selected from the Department of Neurosurgery, Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University from May 1999 to March 2005, including 15 males and 34 females, 60–74 years of age, and they were all diagnosed by CT and MRI.MethodsThe sites of tumors were identified by CT and MRI examinations in all the patients. The tumors were partially or totally resected according to their own conditions. The types of the resected tumor were pathologically observed. The conditions of postoperative recovery were observed after 1, 3 and 6 months, and without new neurological dysfunction or complication was considered as good outcome.Main outcome measures▪ Sites and pathological types of the tumor; ▪ Postoperative outcomes and complications.ResultsAll the 49 patients were involved in the analysis of results. ▪ The tumors had wide distributions with a main location in brain convexity. Among the 49 cases of meningioma, there were 25 cases of fibrocystic type, 12 cases of meningothelial type, 6 cases of psammomatous type, 4 cases of angiomatous type and 2 cases of microcystic type. ▪ Among the 49 patients, 35 had good outcome, 8 had self-care ability, 4 required care by others, 2 (4.1%) died postoperatively. No long-term complication related to the operation was observed during the follow-up postoperatively.ConclusionMeningioma has a main location in brain convexity, and its pathological type is mainly fibrocystic one, and there is good operative outcome.
