Abstract

The article presents a study which developed an immunochromatographic strip for the detection of an antibody against Porcine hemagglutinating encephalomyelitis virus (PHEV). The study determined that the relative specificity and sensitivity of the immunochromatographic strip were 93.41% and 98.42%, respectively. The seropositivity of many piglets to PHEV indicates the possible transfer of maternal antibodies via the colostrum.
