Abstract

•A hybrid survey method was successfully applied to transport and mobility research projects.•The hybrid method is a low-cost combination of intercept and online surveys.•The hybrid method response rates were between 14 and 22%, higher than merely online.•Personal card distribution allows to adjust the sample while the campaign is ongoing.•The hybrid method provides good data quality and fast response, 10 days to complete the sample.
