Objective: To assess the effectiveness of indocyanine green (ICG)-guided lymph node (LN) dissection during laparoscopic radical gastrectomy after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC). Background: Studies on ICG imaging use in patients with LAGC on NAC are rare. Methods: Patients with gastric adenocarcinoma (clinical T2-4NanyM0) who received NAC were randomly assigned to receive ICG-guided laparoscopic radical gastrectomy or laparoscopic radical gastrectomy alone. Here, we reported the secondary endpoints including the quality of lymphadenectomy (total retrieved LNs and LN noncompliance) and surgical outcomes. Results: Overall, 240 patients were randomized. Of whom, 236 patients were included in the primary analysis (118 in the ICG group and 118 in the non-ICG group). In the ICG group, the mean number of LNs retrieved was significantly higher than in the non-ICG group within the D2 dissection (48.2 vs 38.3, P < 0.001). The ICG fluorescence guidance significantly decreased the LN noncompliance rates (33.9% vs 55.1%, P = 0.001). In 165 patients without baseline measurable LNs, ICG significantly increased the number of retrieved LNs and decreased the LN noncompliance rate (P < 0.05). For 71 patients with baseline measurable LNs, the quality of lymphadenectomy significantly improved in those who had a complete response (P < 0.05) but not in those who did not (P > 0.05). Surgical outcomes were comparable between the groups (P > 0.05). Background: Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging is effective in increasing the number of lymph node dissections during laparoscopic radical gastrectomy; however, no studies have attempted to explain this phenomenon. Methods: This study utilized the data from a previous randomized controlled trial (FUGES-012 study) investigating ICG-guided laparoscopic radical gastrectomy performed between November 2018 and July 2019. The Objective Structured Assessments of Technical Skills (OSATS) scoring system was used to grade videos from the ICG and non-ICG groups. Patients with an OSATS score greater than 29 were classified as the high-OSATS population, while those with an OSATS score less than or equal to 29 were classified as the low-OSATS population. Results: A total of 258 patients were included in the modified intention-to-treat analysis: 129 in the ICG group and 129 in the non-ICG group. The OSATS score of the ICG group was higher than that of the non-ICG group (29.6 ± 2.6 vs. 26.6 ± 3.6; P< 0.001). The ICG group underwent a significantly higher mean total number of lymph node dissections than the non-ICG group (50.5 ± 15.9 vs. 42.0 ± 10.3; adjusted P<0.001). The group assigned to ICG use, better OSATS (high-OSATS) scores were observed, which correlated with greater D2 lymph node retrieval (54.1 ± 15.0 vs. 47.2 ± 8.7; adjusted P =0.039). Finally, the ICG group had a lower rate of lymph node noncompliance than that of the non-ICG group (31.8 vs. 57.4%; P <0.001). Conclusions: By applying the ICG fluorescence navigation technique, better OSATS scores were observed, which correlated with greater lymph node retrieval and a lower lymph node noncompliance rate, as recommended for individualized laparoscopic radical gastrectomy. Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a widespread infectious disease that causes a significant disease burden on society. To achieve early intervention and to prevent outbreaks of disease, we propose a novel warning model that can accurately predict the incidence of HFMD. We propose a spatial-temporal graph convolutional network (STGCN) that combines spatial factors for surrounding cities with historical incidence over a certain time period to predict the future occurrence of HFMD in Guangdong and Shandong between 2011 and 2019. The 2011–2018 data served as the training and verification set, while data from 2019 served as the prediction set. Six important parameters were selected and verified in this model and the deviation was displayed by the root mean square error and the mean absolute error. As the first application using a STGCN for disease forecasting, we succeeded in accurately predicting the incidence of HFMD over a 12-week period at the prefecture level, especially for cities of significant concern. This model provides a novel approach for infectious disease prediction and may help health administrative departments implement effective control measures up to 3 months in advance, which may significantly reduce the morbidity associated with HFMD in the future. Tree growth is the most important factor in determining the carbon sequestration processes of forest ecosystems. However, the growth phenology (seasonal growth pattern) and responses of tree growth to climatic variables vary considerably among different species, especially between deciduous and evergreen species. Thus, it is crucial to explore the seasonal growth patterns of different tree species in relation to climate to better understand the responses of tree physiology to climate changes, especially in mixed-species forest stands. In this study, we monitored the daily basal area increments of 220 individuals belonging to 15 common broadleaved tree species, nine deciduous and six evergreen species, in mixed-species experimental stands in subtropical China and analysed the relationships between radial stem growth and seasonal climate at a high-temporal resolution. We fitted daily increments of stem diameters with four frequently used nonlinear models and chose the best model for each species. The results showed that the evergreen trees grew faster than the deciduous trees, both annually and within the growing season. The tested nonlinear models (Korf, Weibull, logistic and Gompertz) produced good fits for the growth patterns of all species. Overall, the evergreen species began stem growth earlier and finished later during the growing season than that of the deciduous species. Within the growing season, the radial growth of trees in mixed stands containing both types of species was strongly positively correlated with humidity. In spring, increases in both temperature and moisture increased the daily relative basal area increment of all species. Maximum growth rates occurred when the soil water content reached its highest level and gradually decreased when the soil water content decreased. In summer, high temperatures combined with low amounts of precipitation led to heat-induced summer drought, to which the evergreen trees appeared to be more tolerant than the deciduous trees, which was reflected in the reduced stem growth of the latter. These results indicate the different climate-dependent seasonal growth strategies of evergreen and deciduous trees related to the trade-off described by the leaf economics spectrum, i.e., short-lived leaves with higher assimilation rates in deciduous and longer-lived leaves with a greater drought tolerance in evergreen species. Objective: To evaluate the short-term outcomes of patients with GC who received RDG or LDG. Summary Background Data: Despite the increasing use of RDG in patients with GC, its safety and efficacy compared to those of LDG have not been elucidated in a randomized controlled trial. Methods: Three hundred patients with cT1-4a and N0/+ between September 2017 and January 2020 were enrolled in this randomized controlled trial at a high-volume hospital in China. The short-term outcomes were compared between the groups. Results: The modified intention-to-treat analysis included data from 283 patients (RDG group: n = 141) and (LDG group: n = 142). Patients in the RDG group exhibited faster postoperative recovery, milder inflammatory responses, and reduced postoperative morbidity (9.2% vs 17.6%, respectively, P = 0.039). Higher extraperigastric lymph nodes (LNs) were retrieved in the RDG group (17.6 ± 5.8 vs 15.8 ± 6.6, P = 0.018) with lower noncompliance rate (7.7% vs 16.9%, respectively, P = 0.006). Additionally, patients in the RDG group were more likely to initiate adjuvant chemotherapy earlier [median (interquartile range) postoperative days: 28 (24–32) vs 32 (26–42), P = 0.003]. Although total hospital costs were higher in the robotic group than in the laparoscopic group, the direct cost was lower for RDG than for LDG (all P < 0.001). Conclusions: RDG is associated with a lower morbidity rate, faster recovery, milder inflammatory responses, and improved lymphadenectomy. Additionally, faster postoperative recovery in the RDG group enables early initiation of adjuvant chemotherapy. Our results provide evidence for the application of RDG in patients with GC. Priming effect is one of the important mechanisms regulating soil organic matter decomposition. However, the variation of priming effects in different soil layers remains unclear. In this study, we conducted a 30-day incubation experiment using no-tillage black soil from northeastern China. C-glucose and dynamic CO2 trapping methods were employed to investigate soil organic carbon (SOC) mineralization rates and the priming effect of the added 13C-glucose in the upper soil layer (0-10 cm) and the lower soil layer (30-40 cm). Our results showed that the cumulative SOC-specific mineralization rate in the upper layer was similar to that in the lower layer soil without glucose addition. Glucose addition significantly altered the mineralization rates in both layers, resul- ting in a positive priming effect (36.7%) in the upper layer but a negative priming effect (-12.4%) in the lower layer. The cumulative priming effect during the 30-day incubation was 3.24 mg C ⋅ g-1 SOC for the upper layer soil and -1.24 mg C ⋅ g-1 SOC for the lower layer soil. There was still a net SOC increase, even with positive priming effects in the upper layer soil. This was due to considerable amount of added glucose-C remained un-mineralized in the soil which would compensate the carbon loss from priming effects. Overall, our results demonstrated that the magnitude and direction of priming effects might differ between soil layers. Our findings contribute to a better understanding of the effects of conservation tillage practices (no-tillage and straw incorporation) on soil organic matter dynamics in agroecosystems. Aiming at the problem that maintenance spares are difficult to be accurately guaranteed in each combat phrase due to multiple influencing factors of maintenance spares consumption in the combat support process, strong randomness, constantly changing and difficult to be accurately quantified, a maintenance spares support method based on fuzzy data fusion is proposed. And a spares consumption fuzzy prediction model based on expert experience prediction value and Markov prediction value is established. On this basis, the influence factor is introduced to make the prediction results more realistic. The method is verified by an example. To study the precursory failure infrasonic characteristics of coal samples, coal rock stress loading system and infrasonic wave acquisition system were adopted, and infrasonic tests in uniaxial loading process were made for the coal samples in the studied area. Wavelet filtering, fast Fourier transform, and relative infrasonic energy methods were used to analyze the characteristics of the infrasonic waves in the loading process, including time domain characteristics, and relative energy. The analysis results demonstrated that the frequencies of the infrasonic signals in the loading process mainly distribute within 5–10 Hz, which are significantly different from noise signals. The changes of the infrasonic signals show clear periodic characters in time domain. Meanwhile, the relative energy changes of the infrasonic wave also show periodic characters, which are divided into two stages by the yield limit of coal samples, and are clear and easy to be recognized, so that they can be used as the precursory characteristics for recognizing coal sample failures. Moreover, the infrasonic waves generated by coal samples have low frequency and low attenuation, which can be collected without coupling and transmitted in long distance. Objective This study was designed to determine the prevalence of oncogenic human papillomavirus (HPV) in cervical infections in Beijing, China, and to investigate the odds ratio ( OR ) of HPV single and multiple infections in abnormal cytology. Methods A total of 19,018 specimens from outpatients in the department of obstetric and gynecology were collected. They were detected using high-risk HPV genotyping real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) kit and analyzed by ThinPrep cytology test for cervical pathological diagnosis. HPV prevalence, age-specific prevalence, and OR of each type of HPV in abnormal cytology were analyzed. Results Overall, 19.1% (3,623/19,018) of the individuals were positive for HPV infection, 14.9% (2,833/19,018) were positive for a single HPV type, and 4.2% (790/19,018) were positive for multiple types. Among the 3,623 HPV-positive individuals, the most predominant HPV types were HPV52 (4.4%, 834/19,018), HPV16 (3.7%, 710/19,018), and HPV58 (3.4%, 644/19,018). The OR of multiple infections and single infection differed significantly among disease severities. The OR of dual infection was higher than that of each of the two single infection types, respectively. Conclusion HPV prevalence in the outpatients was 19.1%, and the most predominant HPV types in the study were HPV52, HPV16, and HPV58. Objective To learn the rabies genome molecular characteristics and compare the difference of China rabies lineages. Methods The complete genomes of 12 strains from different China rabies lineages were amplified and sequenced, and all the China street strain genomes (total 43), Arctic and Arctic-like genomes were aligned using ClustalX2, the genome homologies were analyzed using MegAlign software, and the phylogenetic trees were constructed by MEGA 5. Results First Arctic-like rabies genome in China (CQH1202D) was reported, and we supplemented the rabies genome data of China, ensuring at least one genome was available in each China lineage. The genome size of China V (11908nt) is obviously shorter than other lineages' (11923-11925nt) for the difference of N-P non-coding regions. Among different lineages, the genome homologies are almost under 90%. CQH1202D (China IV lineage) has close relationship with strains from South Korea and they share about 95% genome similarities. Conclusion The molecular characteristics of 6 different China rabies lineages were compared and analyzed from genome level, which benefits for continued comprehensive rabies surveillance, rabies prevention and control in China. Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of anesthesia on the cognitive status damage and MMP-2 expression in rats. Methods: A total of 120 healthy rats were selected and randomly divided into the control group, CF3-CH(OCH2F)-CF3 (Sevoflurane) group and CF3-CH2-O-CHF-CF3 group (Sevoflurane) (n=40). After training for 3 d by the Morris water maze, the control group were injected with fentanyl for analgesia, the CF3-CH(OCH2F)-CF3 group and the CF3-CH2-O-CHF-CF3 group were anesthesia with CF3-CH (OCH2F)-CF3 and CF3-CH2-O-CHF-CF3 on the basis of fentanyl, then rats in three groups underwent open surgery and suture conventional incision. Morris water maze was used to measure the rats' cognitive ability in three groups on the 1st d, 3rd d, 5th d and 7th d, and the brain tissue MMP-2 expression was detected. Results: After 1 d/7 d of the surgery, Morris water maze performance and MMP-2 expression were not significantly different among three groups (P>0.05); After 3 d/5 d of the surgery, compared with the control group, the Morris water maze test result was significantly worsened, MMP-2 expression levels were significantly increased (P<0.05); After 3 d/5 d of the surgery, compared with the CF3-CH2-O-CHF-CF3 group, Morris water maze test result of CF3-CH(OCH2F)-CF3 group was significantly worsened, MMP-2 expression levels were significantly increased (P<0.05). Conclusions: Anesthesia can cause some injury on cognitive status, different anesthetic drugs may cause different injury, and the cognitive status injury is related to the MMP-2 expression. Abstract: During oil well production, it was a serious phenomenon of wax deposition on the parts such as oil production system section break.For the fluid flow problem of the collar in sucker rod, the research of this thesis applies Flunt software to perform numerical simulation of the flow conditions under different outputs, and presents relevant velocity vector and velocity nephogram of the crude oil at the collar in sucker rod. Through analysis, it was believed that the wax deposition could not be efficiently settled only by high fluid velocity raised by output increase, and the relevant technical measures were proposed to prevent wax deposition, providing the theoretical thesis for paraffin removal and control at oil well. A soil incubation test was conducted to study the quantitative changes of three amino sugars (glucosamine, muramic acid, and galactosamine) derived from microbes under drying and wetting cycle, and to analyze the relative contribution of soil bacteria and fungi to the turnover of soil organic matter by using the measured glucosamine/ muramic acid ratio. Under continuous wet- ting, the degradation of bacteria-derived muramic acid was faster than that of fungi-derived glucosamine, and the degradation rate of galactosamine was the lowest. Drying and wetting cycle altered the degradation characteristics of the three amino sugars. As compared with that under continuous wetting, the degradation rate of bacteria-derived muramic acid at the prophase of drying and wetting was faster than that of fungi-derived glucosamine, and, with the increasing frequency of drying and wetting cycle, the degradation rate of fungi-derived glucosamine was faster than that of bacteria-derived muramic acid. These results indicated that drying and wetting cycle changed the course of the microbial transformation of soil amino sugar-derived nitrogen. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As one of the four basic technologies of IOT (Internet of Things), M2M technology whose advance could influence on the technology of Internet of Things has a rapid development. Mobile Payment is one of the most widespread applications in M2M. Due to applying wireless network in Mobile Payment, the security issues based on wireless network have to be solved. The technologies applied in solutions generally include two sorts, encryption mechanism and authentication mechanism, the focus in this paper is the authentication mechanism of Mobile Payment. In this paper, we consider that there are four vital things in the authentication mechanism of Mobile Payment: two-way authentication, re-authentication, roaming authentication and inside authentication. Two-way authentication is to make the mobile device and the center system trust each other, and two-way authentication is the foundation of the other three. Re-authentication is to re-establish the active communication after the mobile subscriber changes his point of attachment to the network. Inside authentication is to prevent the attacker from obtaining the privacy via attacking the mobile device if the attacker captures the mobile device. Roaming authentication is to prove the mobile subscriber's legitimate identity to the foreign agency when he roams into a foreign place, and roaming authentication can be regarded as the integration of the above three. After making a simulation of our proposed authentication mechanism and analyzing the existed schemes, we summarize that the authentication mechanism based on the mentioned above in this paper and the encryption mechanism establish the integrate security framework of Mobile Payment together. By the method of intermittent leaching aerobic incubation, this paper studied the mineralization of three kinds of microbesderived amino sugar (glucosamine, muramic acid, and galactosamine) in black soil of Northeast China, and the responses to glucose addition and glucose plus nitrogen amendment. The mineralization of the amino sugars was compound-specific. During incubation period, the content of muramic acid decreased by 25-4%, while that of glucosamine decreased by 7-1%, suggesting that bacteria-derived muramic acid was more inclined to be mineralized, compared with fungi-originated glucosamine. However, the mineralized amount of glucosamine (68-4 mg·kg-1) was greater than that of muramic acid (15-4 mg·kg-1). Both glucose addition and glucose plus nitrogen amendment improved the contents of glucosamine and muramic acid significantly, but the effect varied. The mineralization of galactosamine was much slower, and less affected by exogenous substances addition, indicating that galactosamine was more stable in test soil. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article discusses research which identified new viral variations associated with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A comparative study on the complete sequence of hepatitis B virus isolated from 20 HCC and 35 non-HCC patients in Qidong, China was carried out to verify the relationships of four selected mutations in the HBV core (C) gene to HCC. Results implied that A2189C and G2203W are new predictive markers for HCC. The study also highlights the influence of genetic variants in the HBV C gene on HCC progression.

The aim of this article was to evaluate the clinical and pathologic characteristics, therapy, and prognostic factors of vulvar sweat gland carcinoma.Clinical and pathologic data for 12 patients with vulvar sweat gland carcinoma treated at our institution from January 1958 to April 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Of the 12 cases, 7 cases were vulvar sweat gland carcinoma, 3 cases were vulvar Paget disease with underlying sweat gland adenocarcinoma, 1 case was vulvar apocrine adenocarcinoma, and 1 case was adenoid cystic carcinoma of the vulvar sweat gland. Two patients were treated with simple vulvar tumor excision at other medical institutions without adjuvant therapy. Among the other 10 patients, 6 underwent radical vulvectomy; 3, wide local excision of the vulva; and 1, a simple vulvectomy. For 5 of the 12 patients, bilateral or unilateral inguinal lymph nodes excision and biopsy were performed. For 1 patient with bulky inguinal lymph nodes, only a biopsy was performed, and the patient received radiotherapy after vulvar surgery.A follow-up for 11 patients was conducted until death or April 1, 2009. Five of the 11 patients had recurrences after primary treatment. For 2 of these patients, recurrence was local 6 and 48 months after treatment. For 3 patients, distant metastasis was found 18, 5, and 31 months after surgery at our institution. Five of 11 patients died, 1 of whom died of irrelevant disease and 4 of tumor progression. The total survival periods of the 4 patients who died of tumor progression were 24, 36, 44, and 203 months. The other 6 patients have survived for more than 5 years without local failure. In total, there are 7 patients who have survived for 5 years or more.Vulvar sweat gland carcinoma is a very rare entity. Surgery is the primary treatment modality, and the function of radiotherapy and chemotherapy is uncertain. The vulvar tumor size and inguinal lymph nodes metastasis will influence the prognosis, with pathologic differentiation and surgical margin status being the probable prognostics factors. A 38-week laboratory incubation test at 25 °C was conducted to examine the effects of different inorganic N supply level (0, 60.3, 167.2, and 701.9 mg N · kg-1 soil, noted as N0, Nlow, Nmid, and Nhig, respectively) on the microbial transformation of amino sugar in a mollisol amended with maize straw. Comparing with the control, the amendment of maize straw promoted the microbial synthesis of amino sugar, and at the early period of incubation, the total amount of soil amino sugar increased with increasing inorganic N supply, being significantly higher in treatments Nmid and Nhig than in treatments N0 and Nlow. With prolonged incubation time, the total amount of soil amino sugar decreased, and the decrement was higher in treatments N0 and Nlow than in treatments Nmid and Nhig. Different inorganic N supply level also had different effects on the dynamics of various amino sugars. Muramic acid exclusively originated from bacteria was more easily to be affected by the inorganic N supply, compared with the glucosamine from fungal cell wall residues. For the amendment of higher C/N maize straw, a sufficient N supply would be necessary for the promotion of the accumulation and transformation of soil amino sugar. Soil N deficiency would restrict the growth of soil microbes, weaken the microbial synthesis of amino sugar, and decrease the captured N in microbial biomass, being not beneficial to the soil N accumulation. Objective: To estimate the burden of child injury based on presentations at Viet Duc Hospital, the leading trauma hospital in Vietnam, between March and October 2006. Methods: Standardised injury surveillance data were collected on all children aged less than 19 years who presented and were treated at Viet Duc Hospital. Injuries were classified by lCD-10 and severity was determined by RTS and MS. Results: 74,762 patients were examined in the hospital during the seven-month duration of the study. Patients included 25,165 emergencies, of which 30% were due to non-trauma. The remaining 17,643 were due to trauma, accounting for 70% of cases. Among these cases, there were 2,536 injured children aged 18 and under, accounting for 14.37% of all cases. Conclusion: Injury is a leading cause of death and disability in Viet Nam, especially in children. The results of this surveillance indicate the need for ongoing injury surveillance. Purpose: Injurysurveillance, a key to injuryprevention, is the systematic collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of data on injury-related events for use in public health action to reduce morbidity and mortality and to improve health. The first injury surveillance was successfully implemented in a few pilot hospitals in Vietnam. Viet Duc Hospital, one of the leading centers of surgery and trauma in Vietnam, was one of these and has implemented an injury surveillance program. Materials and Methods: Data were collected from all cases of injuries treated and admitted to Viet Duc Hospital, including death data. The surveillance was conducted during the period from 26 March 2006 to 26 October 2006. Results: Data collected over 7 months in 2006 at Viet Duc Hospital showed 17,643 cases of injury treated in the emergency department, representing 70% of all emergencies. 989 patients died due to injury within 7 days, representing 5.6% of all injuries. Surveillance was conducted on 5,468 cases, in which men outnumbered women by a ratio of 3:1 and the highest proportion of patients were between 20 to 50 years of age. Patients referred from provinces accounted for 73% of cases. The highest categories of morbidity were among students and farmers who accounted for 22% and 25%. The largest numbers of injuries were to the head and face at 40%, second were to the extremities at 38%. Critical injuries accounted for only 2.6% of cases and serious injuries for only 3% based on Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) scaling. 30% received first aid at provincial hospitals and 23% at district hospitals. 38% of victims were transported by ambulance, 32% were accompanied by health workers. Traffic-related accidents accounted for 63% of all injuries, among which 74% of cases were from motorbike accidents. Motorbike drivers were injured in 70% of traffic cases. Only 5% of drivers were wearing helmets. Conclusions: In order to prevent injury as well as to reduce the mortality rate, data on injuries should be collected accurately and completely. Despite the challenges of implementing the first surveillance of injury in a hospital, the results are successful and informative in determining the epidemiology of injury, and providing accurate morbidity and mortality data. Viet Duc Hospital, one of the leading centers of surgery and trauma in Vietnam, was one of these and has implemented an injury surveillance program. Materials and Methods: Data were collected from all cases of injuries treated and admitted to Viet Duc Hospital, including death data. The surveillance was conducted during the period from 26 March 2006 to 26 October 2006. Results: Data collected over 7 months in 2006 at Viet Duc Hospital showed 17,643 cases of injury treated in the emergency department, representing 70% of all emergencies. 989 patients died due to injury within 7 days, representing 5.6% of all injuries. Surveillance was conducted on 5,468 cases, in which men outnumbered women by a ratio of 3:1 and the highest proportion of patients were between 20 to 50 years of age.
