The article discusses the mathematical models and computer simulations applied by researchers to know how much benefit do honeybees get from the waggle dance and the hidden strategies for the propagation of information in the dance. It notes the importance of dance communication for foraging by presenting a comparison on various kinds of virtual colonies. The effects of the dance on the ability of the bees to find feeders are also emphasized.
