Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) interventions increasingly harness the capabilities of wearable technology, utilizing predictive analytics of physiological signals and personalized sensory feedback. Herein, we review the key developments in the multifaceted application of wearable technology for ASD and highlight their potential value, covering both the state-of-the-art devices and requirements for ASD interventions. Wearable technology can be classified into two pivotal functional systems: signal acquisition and interactive feedback. The signal acquisition system employs an array of sensors for real-time physiological data monitoring in individuals with ASD, furnishing essential insights for the tailoring of customized therapeutic interventions. Additively, the interactive feedback system endeavors to ameliorate psychological and behavioral challenges, address sensory processing disorders, and enhance social and cognitive proficiencies. By facilitating diverse sensory stimulations and feedback mechanisms, wearable technology demonstrates a versatile approach to ASD intervention. Crucially, the principles and diverse applications of wearable technology in ASD are expounded upon, underscoring the emerging role of flexible electronics in this domain. Finally, the challenges and opportunities of wearable technologies are discussed, as well as the immense potential to revolutionize human-centered intervention solutions for ASD. The continued exploration of this dynamic field not only augments the quality of life and well-being of individuals with ASD but also presents an avenue for innovation at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

A DNA-compatible reaction has been developed for the cyanomethylation of (hetero)aryl halides or triflates via a tandem process involving palladium-mediated Suzuki–Miyaura coupling and base-promoted isoxazole fragmentation. This one-pot protocol employs easily accessible starting materials, exhibits a wide substrate scope, and results in no significant DNA damage. Additionally, the resulting (hetero)arylacetonitriles can be converted into the corresponding carboxylic acids, which may be utilized for the synthesis of DNA-encoded chemical libraries.

•Multi-objective function topology optimization model of PEMFC cooling plate is built.•Influencing factors of topology optimization results of cooling plates are explored.•At the volume fraction of 0.5, the cooling plate has optimum cooling performance.•Temperature weight coefficient affects the performance of cooling plate remarkably.•Non-uniform coolant flow is detrimental to cooling plate performance improvement.

TiO2nanoarray (TNA) is usually used to improve the energy storage performance of the polymer composite; however, owing to the paradox between polarization and breakdown strength, the discharged energy density of TNA-based composite is always restricted. In this study, a novel bilayer composite with excellent energy storage performance has been designed and fabricated by combining aligned TNA and random TiO2nanowires (TO NWs) with poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) matrix. Interestingly, a superior discharged energy density of 16.13 J/cm3was obtained in the (5 vol % TO NWs/TNA)–PVDF composite, which is 2.0 times higher than that of pure PVDF matrix (8.23 J/cm3) due to the simultaneously improved polarization and breakdown strength. Additionally, the corresponding energy efficiency remains high (77.37%) owing to the nonferroelectric characteristics of the TO fillers and the suppressed leakage current density. Considering the excellent and sharply incremental discharged energy density and superior energy efficiency of the (5 vol % TO NWs/TNA)–PVDF composite, this demonstrated work provides a method to obtain high discharged energy density and energy efficiency simultaneously.

With exceptional performance, flexible sensors have found broad applications, including human health monitoring, motion detection, human–machine interaction, smart wearable technology, and robot control. Crack‐sensitive structures based on animal bionics have also caught increasing attention because of their extraordinary sensitivity. Crack‐based flexible sensors, which combine the flexibility of the flexible sensors and the high sensitivity of the crack sensing structures, have seen rapid development in recent years. In this review, we summarize the sensing mechanisms of the flexible sensors based on the crack disconnection–reconnection process. The effects of crack type, depth, and density on sensor performance are explored in detail. We also discuss the performance characteristics and applications of the crack‐based flexible sensors with various materials, design structures, and crack generation procedures. Finally, the main challenges of the crack‐based flexible sensors are also reviewed, and several research directions are proposed. The integration of the advances from various fields to the crack design has made significant progress in the development of flexible sensors. In this review, the applications of crack engineering in strain sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, magnetic field sensors, hydrogen sensors, and other sensors are summarized. The crack formation mechanism and sensing mechanisms of these sensors are discussed, and the influence of fabrication methods and material on crack construction are examined in detail.

Starting with the provincial logistics network planning, combined with the quick response theory, to establish two-layer distribution network model of 3PL and tried to establish the method of determining the number and layout of RDC and FDC. At last, simulation study is carried out by taking an example of tobacco logistics network planning in Hunan Province.

Nowadays, many digital archive systems have been developed to facilitate archive operations such as archive query and archive update. However, for many enterprises traditional archive management methods are still utilized, and paper files are the most important materials for archives. To cope with this problem, we present an enterprise-wide digital archive management system infrastructure in this paper. Based on this infrastructure, an archive query management is developed. Through the infrastructure and the query management, it can be expected that more production efficiency can be achieved.

Cuprous oxides with different morphologies could be prepared by simply changing the reaction condition, such as the temperature. Here, we report the Cu2O morphological transforming from polyhedron to cube with the reaction temperature increasing from 35C to 65C. At lower temperature, the polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) working as a crystal modifier which decreases the surface energy of facets (111) and (110), thus these high energy facets appear in relative low temperature. Facets (111) and (110) gradually diminished along with temperature increasing, while facet (100) expanded. The morphology became into cube from polyhedron. Cu2O particles synthesized at 65C are larger than those at 35C. The UV-Vis extinction bands of the cuprous oxide synthesized in this research were red-shift with the increase of particle size.

The concrete coloration method for the power plant construction is studied to change the recent exterior decoration method for industrial buildings, for its considerable charge on construction and maintenance. The special low-carbon additive, rice husk ash, is provided as the coloring matter to produce a grey with different saturations. After that, various professional tests on uniformity, impermeability and frost resistance are provided to illustrate the performance of the colored concrete. As the result, the proposed concrete coloration scheme has improved the industrial architectural appearance without sacrifice the strength of structure. More importantly, it is meaningful and significant to promote the environment landscape with green environmental protection destination by using the low-carbon materials in our industrial construction.

In this paper, some new results are given for the common random solution for a class of random operator equations which generalize several results in [4], [5] and [6] in Banach space. On the other hand, Altman’s inequality is also extending into the type of the determinant form. And comparing some solution for several examples, main results are theorem 2.3, theorem 3.3-3.4, theorem 4.1 and theorem 4.3.

In this paper, we give some results on the blow-up behaviors of the solution to the mixed problem for some higher-order nonlinear hyperbolic and parabolic evolution equation in finite time. By introducing the “ blow-up factor ’’, we get some new conclusions, which generalize some results [4]-[5] , [6] .

A simulation model is established base on ANSYS software in line with the generating mechanism of the rolling resistance, and then the analytical process of rolling resistance is present. Fourier Series is applied to fit the strain and stress, and order 31 Fourier function is chosen to fit the curves of stress and strain of each element in the rolling course of tire. 2D and 3D finite element model of a 7.00-14 16 PR bias tire is established to solve the strain and stress in a rolling cycle. The rolling resistance of 7.00-14 16 PR bias tire in the case of the rated working condition is simulated and compared with the related empirical equation. The simulation result is basically consistent with that obtained by the empirical equation. The simulation method is conducive to the structural design of tire and computation or prediction of rolling resistance of tire.

ABSTRACTB cell lymphomas in immunocompromised patients frequently contain the EpsteinBarr virus (EBV) genome (MacMahon et al., 1991), suggesting that gene therapy strategies that target EBV-positive cells for destruction might be useful for the therapy of such tumors. We have previously shown that stable expression of the cytosine deaminase (CD) gene in EBV-positive lymphoblastoid cell lines induces cell killing in the presence of the prodrug 5-fluorocytosine, with a substantial bystander killing effect (Rogers et al., 1996). To promote specific killing of EBV-positive tumor cells, we have constructed two different EBV-based vectors containing the cytosine deaminase gene. The first vector (OriP-CD), which contains the intact EBV oriP enhancer/replication element, replicates as an episome specifically in EBV-positive cells and likewise enhances transcription in an EBV-specific manner. The OriP-CD vector cannot be packaged or spread from cell to cell. The second vector (OriLyt-CD) contains the EBV lytic origin of replication (oriLyt), the EBV packaging sequences (located in the viral termini), the oriP enhancer element (but not the complete replication origin), and the EBV BZLF1 gene (which induces expression of the EBV proteins required for replication of oriLyt). The OriLyt-CD vector is replicated through the oriLyt origin specifically in EBV-positive cells and packaged as an EBV pseudovirion. The packaged oriLyt-CD virion can subsequently infect cells containing the EBV receptor, CD21, and initiate another round of replication in EBV-positive cells. Here we demonstrate that each of these two different EBV-based gene therapy strategies induces specific killing of EBV-positive B cells in vitro(in the presence of 5-FC). The advantages and disadvantages of each strategy are discussed.

The EBV DNA polymerase accessory protein, BMRF1, is an essential component of the viral DNA polymerase and is required for lytic EBV replication. In addition to its polymerase accessory protein function, we have recently reported that BMRF1 is a transcriptional activator, inducing expression of the essential oriLyt promoter, BHLF1. Here we have precisely mapped the BMRF1-response element in the BHLF1 promoter. We demonstrate that a region of oriLyt (the “downstream component”), previously shown to be one of two domains absolutely essential for oriLyt replication, is required for BMRF1-induced activation of the BHLF1 promoter. Furthermore, the downstream component of oriLyt is sufficient to confer BMRF1-responsiveness to a heterologous promoter. The downstream component contains Sp1 binding sites, and confers Sp1-responsiveness to a heterologous promoter. A series of plasmids containing various portions of the oriLyt downstream component were constructed and analyzed for their ability to respond to the BMRF1 versus Sp1 transactivators. Although the BMRF1-responsive region of the downstream component overlaps the Sp1-responsive element, certain oriLyt sequences required for maximal BMRF1-responsiveness were not required for maximal Sp1-responsiveness. In particular, a site-directed mutation altering the downstream component sequence GATGG (located from −588 to −592 relative to the BHLF1 transcription initiation site) did not affect Sp1-responsiveness, but reduced BMRF1-responsiveness by 75% and abolished oriLyt replication. Although BMRF1 possesses nonspecific DNA binding activity, we were unable to demonstrate specific BMRF1 binding to the downstream component of oriLyt. Our results suggest that BMRF1-induced activation of the essential downstream component of oriLyt may play an important role in oriLyt replication.

Large quantities of immature and low‐maturity oil have been discovered in the North Jiangsu Basin, East China. Intense tectonic activity and the differential accumulation of immature oils during the Palaeogene have resulted in reservoir rocks which have variable sedimentary and diagenetic characteristics. Studies of oil geochemistry and reservoir diagenesis suggest that oil generation and accumulation took place early in the basin's history (i.e. during early diagenesis), significantly inhibiting later modification of the reservoir rocks. There has been no large‐scale tectonic activity since the oil pools formed, and the reservoirs' petrophysical properties and pore construction therefore reflect early diagenesis. Diagenetic modification of the reservoir rocks was more intense below the oil‐water interface where oil did not accumulate. Alteration in these rocks included calcite cementation, the formation of quartz overgrowths, and the development of pressure solution.

Waveguides and resonators are core components in the large-scale integration of electronics, photonics and phononics, both in existing and future scenarios. In certain situations, there is critical coupling of the two components; i.e. no energy passes through the waveguide after the incoming wave couples into the resonator. The transmission spectral characteristics resulting from this phenomenon are highly advantageous for signal filtering, switching, multiplexing and sensing. In the present study, adopting an elastic-wave platform, we introduce topological insulator (TI), a remarkable achievement in condensed matter physics over the past decade, into a classical waveguide-ring-resonator configuration. Along with basic similarities with classical systems, a TI system has important differences and advantages, mostly owing to the spin-momentum locked transmission states at the TI boundaries. As an example, a two-port TI waveguide resonator can fundamentally eliminate upstream reflections while completely retaining useful transmission spectral characteristics, and maximize the energy in the resonator, with possible applications being novel signal processing, gyro/sensing, lasering, energy harvesting and intense wave–matter interactions, using phonons, photons or even electrons. The present work further enhances confidence in using topological protection for practical device performance and functionalities, especially considering the crucial advantage of introducing (pseudo)spins to existing conventional configurations. More in-depth research on advancing phononics/photonics, especially on-chip, is foreseen.A new, topologically empowered, planar waveguide-resonator system was demonstrated, exhibiting unique advantages over traditional designs.

High-fat diet (HFD) and inflammation are two key contributors to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Shenling Baizhu powder (SLBZP), a classical herbal compound, has been successfully used to alleviate NAFLD. However, its specific mechanisms are not fully understood. In this study, we assessed the anti-NAFLD effect of SLBZP in vivo.

In order to achieve safe and high-efficient photodynamic therapy (PDT), it was a powerful strategy of constructing O2-generated nanozyme with intelligent “off/on” modulation and enhancement. Herein, a kind of H2O2-responsive nanozyme was developed for off/on modulation and enhancement of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and PDT, in which great amounts of gold nanoclusters (AuNCs) were loaded into mesoporous silica to form nanoassembly, and manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanosheets were wrapped as switching shield shell (AuNCs@mSiO2@MnO2). In a neutral physiological environment, stable MnO2shells eliminated singlet oxygen (1O2) generation to switch off PDT and MR imaging. However, in an acidic tumor microenvironment, the MnO2shell reacted with H2O2, in which MnO2degradation switched on MR imaging and PDT, and the generated O2further enhanced PDT. H2O2-responsive MnO2degradation brought about excellent MR imaging with a longitudinal relaxation rate of 25.31 mM–1s–1, and simultaneously sufficient O2generation guaranteed a 74% high 1O2yield. Under the irradiation of a 635 nm laser, the viability of MDA-MB-435 cells was reduced to 4%, and the tumors completely disappeared, demonstrating strong PDT performance. Therefore, H2O2-responsive AuNCs@mSiO2@MnO2nanozyme showed excellent off/on modulation and enhancement of MR imaging and PDT and was a promising intelligent nanoprobe for safe and high-efficiency theranostics.

Laboratory rearing systems are useful models for studying Rhinotermitid behavior. Information on the biology of fungus-growing termites, however, is limited because of the difficulty of rearing colonies in the laboratory settings. The physical structure of termite nests makes it impossible to photograph or to observe colonies in the field. In this study, an artificial rearing system for field-collected colonies of the fungus-growing termite Odontotermes formosanus (Shiraki) was developed to facilitate observation in the laboratory. We recorded colony activity within the artificial rearing system and documented a variety of social behaviors that occurred throughout the food processing of the colony. This complex miniature ecosystem was cooperatively organized via division of labor in the foraging and processing of plant materials, and the observed patterns largely resembled the caste and age-based principles present in Macrotermes colonies. This work extends our insights into polyethism in the subfamily Macrotermitinae.
