A PCR method for detection of mink circovirus was developed using a pair of primers designed according to the published Cap gene. The detective limit was 10 µg/L to virus genomic DNA and not reactive to porcine parvovirus,mink enteritis virus,canine parvorirus,porcine circovirus, aleutian disease virus,pseudomonas aeruginosa of minks and Escherichia coli. Using the established assay detected 72 specimens collected from different farms in Liaoning province, the positive rate was 59.7%, indicating that mink cicovirus is very prevalent in Liaoning province. In order to the macroscopic geometry distributions of vascular bundles in Moso bamboo tubes. The circumference of bamboo tubes was measured, used a simple quadratic diameter formula to analyze the differences between the tubes in bamboo culm, and the arrangement of vascular bundles was investigated by cross sectional images of bamboo tubes. The results shown that the vascular bundles were differently distributed in a bamboo tube. In the outer layer, the vascular bundles had a variety of shapes, and were aligned parallel to each other. In the inner layers, the vascular bundles weren't aligned but uniform in shape. It was concluded that the vascular bundle sections arranged in parallel should be separated from the non-parallel sections for the maximum bamboo utilization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents information on a study related to the use of nested reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for detection of nucleic acid of rabies virus genotype 1. It informs that in the study a set of primers was designed for nested RT-PCR for the detection of rabies virus from multiple samples. It further informs that RT-PCR proved to be fully reaction to a panel of isolates from humans, dogs, sheep, deer and ferret badgers.
