A surface Mg-doping and bulk Al-doping core-shell structured LiCoO2demonstrates excellent performance, Mg-shell doping can stabilize the interfacial structure, and Al-bulk doping can preserve layered structure.

Photochemical ozone (O3) formation in the atmospheric boundary layer occurs at both the surface and elevated altitudes. Therefore, the O3formation sensitivity is needed to be evaluated at different altitudes before formulating an effective O3pollution prevention and control strategy. Herein, we explore the vertical evolution of O3formation sensitivity via synchronous observations of the vertical profiles of O3and proxies for its precursors, formaldehyde (HCHO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), using multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy (MAX–DOAS) in urban areas of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei (BTH), Yangtze River Delta (YRD), and Pearl River Delta (PRD) regions in China. The sensitivity thresholds indicated by the HCHO/NO2ratio (FNR) varied with altitude. The VOC-limited regime dominated at the ground level, whereas the contribution of the NOx-limited regime increased with altitude, particularly on heavily polluted days. The NOx-limited and transition regimes played more important roles throughout the entire boundary layer than at the surface. The feasibility of extreme NOxreduction to mitigate the extent of the O3pollution was evaluated using the FNR–O3curve. Based on the surface sensitivity, the critical NOxreduction percentage for the transition from a VOC-limited to a NOx-limited regime is 45–72%, which will decrease to 27–61% when vertical evolution is considered. With the combined effects of clean air action and carbon neutrality, O3pollution in the YRD and PRD regions will transition to the NOx-limited regime before 2030 and be mitigated with further NOxreduction.

Self-supervised learning effectively leverages the information from unlabeled data to extract spatial-spectral features that are both representative and discriminative, partially addressing the challenge of high data annotation costs in hyperspectral image classification. Inspired by the success of redundancy reduction-based self-supervised learning in other domains, we introduce it into HSIC. We proposed a spatial-spectral feature extraction network, HyperBT, to more effectively reduce redundancy. Specifically, we added the off-diagonal terms of the cross-covariance matrix to the loss function and new data augmentation methods, including band bisection and edge weakening. Experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves high accuracy in classification, surpassing many state-of-the-art methods. Through ablation experiments, we validate the effectiveness of each component in the loss function.

The strategy of carbon neutrality is reshaping the global landscape of resource flow and recycling. As the final sink of geological minerals, the proliferated anthropogenic minerals, also called secondary resources, play an increasingly important role in resource supply enrichment. Niobium is a critical metal that lacks full concern for its sustainability. The fundamental principle of niobium circularity is to recycle and maintain the material as close to the manufacturing process as possible. Here we estimate the niobium-containing applications lost at their end-of-life, underscoring the imperative to minimize such disposal. Additionally, we elucidate the extraction processes for scrap and alloy quantities throughout the industry’s lifecycle. Drawing from anticipated waste generated by the majority of niobium applications, a forecast indicates a potential loss of approximately 168 kt by 2090 in the absence of recycling. Contrastingly, with a recycling efficiency of 90% for niobium, the projected loss diminishes to approximately 16 kt. We delve into the significance of niobium’s circular economy and explore various aspects that demand further investigation for a seamless transition from linear to circular practices.

In this article, a two-dimensional (2-D) tunable photonic crystal wavelength-modulated micro-opto-electro-mechanical system (MOEMS) gyroscope is reported. The device consists of a mechanical structure and an optical structure. The vibrating mass block of the mechanical structure is driven by an electrostatic force that generates a Coriolis force under the action of the applied angular velocity to displace the sensitive unit. The sensitive unit movement changes the photonic crystal cavity of the optical structure, resulting in a change in the resonant wavelength in the transmission spectrum. The external applied angular velocity is obtained by detecting the shift of the resonance wavelength. We have analyzed the dynamic characteristics of the mechanical structure by numerical simulation and obtained a mechanical sensitivity with 0.335648 nm/( $^{\circ }/\text {s}$ ). Notably, we analyzed the optical signal response characteristics of the optical structure using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and the rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA) method. The simulation results show that the sensitivity of the optical system is 1.11142 nm/(nm) in the near-infrared region. Strikingly, the proposed sensor has an optomechanical sensitivity of 0.373 nm/( $^{\circ }/\text {s}$ ) and a resolution of $1.34^{\circ }/\text {s}$ in the range of $\pm 1040^{\circ }/\text {s}$ . By introducing 2-D tunable photonic crystals, the performance of MOEMS gyroscopes is largely improved, making them potentially attractive for applications in automotive autonavigation and agricultural aircraft attitude control.

This article proposes a small-scale high-precision digital closed-loop modulation method for a flying-capacitor three-level inverter to eliminate the influence of dead time. The proposed method only uses a resistive voltage divider to collect the state information, without the need for a current sensor and an analog-to-digital converter, enabling a small footprint. This method does not require complex calculations, can be applied to high switching frequencies, and is independent of the original control system, so it is easy to integrate into a controller or a stand-alone IC. Finally, a 450-W/400-Hz prototype is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A novel 0.98 μm and 1.15 μm dual-wavelength pumping scheme for cascaded mid-infrared Er-doped ZBLAN fiber laser at 3.44 μm and 2.78 μm is proposed and analyzed by a detailed theoretical model. In our pumping scheme, the 4I13/2 level (the lower level of 2.78 μm laser), which is taken as a virtual ground state, is first populated by 976 nm pump and 2.78 μm transition. The 1150 nm virtual ground state absorption (VGSA), corresponding to 4I13/2→4F9/2 transition, excites the Er ions accumulated in 4I13/2 level to 4F9/2 level (the upper level of 3.44 μm laser), emptying the 4I13/2 level as well as providing positive gain for 3.44 μm laser. Followed by the 3.44 μm laser transition, the Er ions would rapidly decay to 4I11/2 level (the upper level of 2.78 μm laser) via nonradiative transition, realizing the re-population of 4I11/2 level and enhancing the 2.78 μm laser gain. Hence, a cycling of Er ions between 4I13/2 level and 4F9/2 level, which includes both 2.78 μm and 3.44 μm laser transitions, is realized via the 4I13/2→4F9/2 VGSA. An interesting point in our proposed pumping scheme is that both the 2.78 μm and 3.44 μm laser power are dominantly contributed by the VGSA pump, while the main role of 976 nm pump is to provide initial population to sustain the ions cycling. By optimizing the wavelength of VGSA pump, dual-wavelength pump power ratio and laser cavity parameters, the overall optical efficiency of the two laser output power with respect to pump power could be improved to over 55%. This work provides a new insight on the cascaded mid-infrared fiber laser and also a promising pumping scheme for efficient 2.78 μm and 3.44 μm laser generation simultaneously from single Er-doped ZBLAN fiber.

Angelman syndrome (AS) is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder caused by loss of function mutations in maternally expressed UBE3A. No gene-specific treatment is available for patients so far. Although intact and transcriptionally active, paternally inherited UBE3Ais silenced by elongation of antisense long noncoding RNA UBE3A-ATSin neurons. Here, we demonstrated that RNA targeting of paternal Ube3a-ATSwith a high-fidelity CRISPR-Cas13 (hfCas13x.1) system could restore Ube3aexpression to similar levels as that of maternal Ube3ain the cultured mouse neurons. Furthermore, injection into lateral ventricles with neuron-specific hSyn1promoter-driven hfCas13x.1 packaged in adeno-associated virus (AAV-PHP.eb) could restore paternal Ube3aexpression in cortex and hippocampus of neonatal AS mice for up to 4 months after treatment. Behavioral tests showed that expression of paternal Ube3asignificantly alleviated AS-related symptoms, including obesity and motor function. Our results suggested that hfCas13x.1-mediated suppression of the Ube3a-ATSlncRNA potentially serves as a promising targeted intervention for AS.

Second-life use of electric vehicle lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) is an inevitable trend; however, battery performance degradation increases environmental loads. This study evaluated the life cycle environmental impacts of second-life use of LIBs in multiple scenarios, considering performance degradation and economic value. The results showed that a component replacement rate of retired LIBs below 50% made the batteries worthy of repurposing. Reusing whole packs of retired LIBs was better than using only cells or modules owing to the environmental loads from diagnosis, disassembly, replacement, and test processes. The battery energy density and performance degradation significantly affect the maximum return on the environmental input. Compared with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, new lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) batteries, or lead-acid batteries, using retired NMC-811 batteries with capacities as low as 60.7% for energy storage systems to store wind electricity rather than hybrid or photovoltaic electricity, had substantial environmental benefits, including a low global warming potential. Considering the costs of battery recycling, labor, and electricity, using whole packs of retired LIBs could simultaneously achieve high economic and environmental values in energy storage and peak shaving scenarios.

The unstable CEI layer is the main cause of interfacial degradation, and superior cycling stability can be achieved by constructing a stable CEI layer or CEI-free surface.

Indium has emerged as a strategic metal for high-tech and renewable industries, being catalogued as a critical material to foster a greener future. Nevertheless, its global sustainability is not well addressed. Here, using dynamic substance flow analysis, we study the indium industry evolution between 2010 and 2020 and estimate its future demand in the medium and long term toward 2050 to identify potential paths and mechanisms to decrease indium losses and to identify the key stages in its life cycle. As electronics and photovoltaic industries will play a crucial role in the indium demand, we assess their indium demand employing three cumulative photovoltaic capacity scenarios (8.5, 14, and 60 TW by 2050) with different dominant photovoltaic sub-technologies. Results show that liquid-crystal displays and photovoltaic panels will drive indium future demand, increasing its current demand by 2.2–4.2, 2.6–7.0, and 6.8–38.3 times for the 8.5, 14, and 60 TW scenarios, respectively, threatening with shortages that could occur as early as the next decade. Therefore, measures to reduce losses in primary production, innovations and improvements in electronics and solar panels, and indium recycling with an effective circular economy strategy could promote and secure the future sustainability of indium.

BackgroundThe information of ZMYND15in human reproduction is very limited, resulting in the unclear link between ZMYND15variants and male infertility.MethodsWhole exome sequencing and Sanger sequencing to identify the potential pathogenic variation of ZMYND15in infertile men, Papanicolaou staining and electron microscopy to investigate the spermatozoa morphology, western blotting and immunofluorescence staining to confirm the pathogenicity of the identified variants, and proteomic analysis and coimmunoprecipitation to clarify the potential molecular mechanism.ResultsA total of 31 ZMYND15variants were identified in 227 infertile patients. Three deleterious biallelic variants, including a novel compound heterozygous variant of c.1105delG (p.A369Qfs*15) and c.1853T>C (p.F618S), a new homozygous splicing mutation of c.1297+5G>A and a reported homozygous nonsense mutation of c.1209T>A (p.Y403*), were detected in three affected individuals with oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, showing a biallelic pathogenic mutation frequency of 1.3% (3/227). No biallelic pathogenic mutation was found in 692 fertile men. Morphology analysis showed abnormalities in sperm morphology in the patients harbouring ZMYND15mutations. Western blotting and immunofluorescence staining confirmed the nearly absent ZMYND15 expression in the sperm of the patients. Mechanistically, ZMYND15 might regulate spermatogenesis by interacting with key molecules involved in sperm development, such as DPY19L2, AKAP4 and FSIP2, and might also mediate the expression of the autophagy-associated protein SPATA33 to maintain sperm individualisation and unnecessary cytoplasm removal.ConclusionOur findings broaden the variant and phenotype spectrum of ZMYND15in male infertility, and reveal the potential signalling pathway of ZMYND15 regulating spermatogenesis, finally confirming the essential role of ZMYND15in human fertility.

Recent studies have demonstrated that using deep-learning (DL) methods to classify drones based on the radio-frequency (RF) signal is effective. As known, the rich and diverse data is an important guarantee for good identification performance. In reality, due to the complexity and high dynamic of wireless environments, the costs of signal collection and labeling with sufficient diversity are often unacceptable. In this work, we propose a low-cost data augmentation (DA) method to improve the robustness of the signal identification neural network (NN). It generates extra training data by mixing pure drone signals with practical background signals and trains the NN to distinguish drone signals from interferences. Moreover, to further improve performance, we design a spectrogram segmentation (SS) method that directly splits the entire spectrogram into several subspectrograms to separate the interference signals working outside of the drone bandwidth. Finally, using five representative drone signals collected in multiple scenarios, we examine the identification accuracy and generalization capability of the proposed algorithm. Experimental results reveal that the proposed algorithm performs better than the NN trained without SS or DA.

In this article, a novel micro-opto-electro- mechanical system (MOEMS) accelerometer sensor based on metal–insulator–metal (MIM) waveguide wavelength modulation is proposed. The device senses the vibration signal of external acceleration by the mechanical sensing system and uses the MIM waveguide in the optical sensing system to sense the displacement of the mechanical vibration component to cause the change of the light wavelength. The characteristics of the optical sensing system and the mechanical sensing system of the MOEMS accelerometer are analyzed by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) and finite-element analysis (FEA) methods, respectively. The simulation results show that the proposed accelerometer sensor has an optical system sensitivity of up to 7.827 in the wavelength modulation range of 1– $12~\mu \text{m}$ , a mechanical sensitivity of $0.292963~\mu \text{m}$ /g, a natural frequency of 939.28 Hz, and a linear measurement range of ±4.4 g. Surprisingly, we obtained accelerometer sensitivity up to $2.293~\mu \text{m}$ /g and resolution up to 436.1 ng ( $\delta \lambda ={1}$ pm). We also show the performance advantages of this accelerometer with high sensitivity and high resolution over the measurement range by comparing this MOEMS accelerometer sensor with previously reported work. Based on these performance characteristics, we expect this work to be widely used in high-precision measurements for inertial navigation.

Most hot dry rock geothermal wells are small angle directional wells, and rock cuttings easily accumulate at the bottom of the borehole to form a cuttings bed, causing accidents such as drill sticking, reducing the rate of penetration, and drilling tool breakage. Accurately calculating the resistance coefficient and settling velocity of hot dry rock cuttings can improve cuttings transportation efficiency, design and optimize drilling hydraulic parameters, and is crucial to solving borehole cleaning problems. Through visual experiments, this paper obtained experimental data on the settlement of 167 groups of spherical pellets, 153 groups of granite cuttings, and 174 groups of carbonate cuttings in the Herschel-Bulkley fluid. First, a prediction model for the resistance coefficient of spherical pellets consistent with Herschel-Bulkley fluid was established. Based on this, form factor-Roundness is introduced as the starting point, and two prediction models for the resistance coefficients of granite cuttings and carbonate cuttings in the Herschel-Bulkley fluid were established. The average relative errors between the resistance coefficient model predictions and experimental measurements are 9.61% for granite cuttings and 6.59% for carbonate cuttings. The average relative errors between the predicted and measured values of settlement velocity are 7.27% for granite cuttings and 6.21% for carbonate cuttings, respectively, which verifies the accuracy and reliability of the prediction model. The research results can provide a theoretical basis and engineering application guidance for optimizing drilling fluid rheology and circulation displacement in engineering.

Transition metal phosphides (TMPs) with high theoretical capacities and safe operating voltage are recognized as prospective anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). While, the huge volume expansion and low conductivity of TMPs still restrict their applications. Engineering nanostructured composites consisting of TMPs and conductive carbon-based materials is of great importance to improve electrochemical performance. Herein, a novel and facile pyrolysis-oxidation-phosphidation approach is designed to fabricate porous nanospheres composing of CoP nanoparticles and N-doped carbon substrate. The abundant pores in CoP/N-C provide ample active sites for lithium storage and facilitate Li+transport. The introduction of N-doped carbon substrate enhances the electrical conductivity, allowing CoP to maintain its structure during cycling. The CoP/N-C anode achieves remarkable cycle performance, maintaining an extremely stable cycle life over 2000 cycles at 5 A g−1. More importantly, the full cell consisting of CoP/N-C and LiFePO4also exhibits a prominent cycling durability with a capacity retention of 96.5 % at 0.1 A g−1after 150 cycles. This work proposes a simple and feasible structural engineering strategy, which can provide a new way for optimizing the electrochemical performance of conversion-type anode materials.

Salmonellaspp. are among the most prevalent foodborne pathogens. Rapid identification of etiologic agents during foodborne outbreaks is of great importance. In this study, we report a traceback investigation of a Salmonellaoutbreak in China. Metagenomic sequencing of suspected food samples was performed on MinION and MiSeq platforms. Real-time nanopore sequencing analysis identified reads belonging to the Enterobacteriaceaefamily. MiSeq sequencing identified 63 reads specifically mapped to Salmonella. Conventional methods including quantitative-PCR and culture-based isolation confirmed as Salmonella entericaserovar Typhimurium. The foodborne outbreak of SalmonellaTyphimurium was further recognized by whole-genome sequencing and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis analysis. Our study demonstrates the ability of metagenomic sequencing to rapidly identify enteric pathogens directly from food samples. These results highlight the capacity of metagenomic sequencing to deliver actionable information rapidly and to expedite the tracing and identification of etiologic agents during foodborne outbreaks.

Guided by the risk information seeking and processing (RISP) model, this study aims to examine the key determinants that predispose individuals’ online information seeking behavior and prevention intent during the COVID-19 outbreak. Through an online survey with 741 respondents in China, results indicate that affective responses, informational subjective norms, and information insufficiency are positively related to online information seeking about COVID-19. Furthermore, online information seeking is positively associated with prevention intent, and attitude toward prevention partially mediates this association. Finally, theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed in the context of COVID-19.

•A local calculation method based on the Eulerian approach is used to simulate the deposition characteristics of fly ash particles.•A fouling model on the outer side of tubes considering deposition and removal mechanism is established.•The particle deposition process considers the effects of Brownian and eddy diffusion, gravity, thermophoretic, and turbophoretic forces.•The deposition morphologies were predicted under different velocities and particle sizes.

Unclear impurity pollution is one of the key scientific problems that limit the large-scale production of new lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) from spent LIBs. This work is the first to report the pollution path, pollution degree, and solution method of sodium ions in the recycling process of spent LIBs in the real world. The results show that sodium ions can intrude into the precursor particles to form crystalline salts with the anion of the leaching acid that cover the transition metal elements, thereby resulting in a failed precursor. Specifically, the intrusion of sodium ions will produce a variety of pollutants containing metal oxide bonds, such as Na–O, NaO2, and Na+–O2, on the precursor surface. These active lattice oxygen will further adsorb or react to form organic oxygen, chemical oxygen, and free oxygen, which will highly deteriorate the surface cleanliness. Strictly controlling the consumption of sodium salt in each step and using ammonia instead of NaOH for pH regulation can effectively solve sodium ion pollution to prepare high-quality battery precursors. It reveals that for the green upcycling of spent LIBs, we should strengthen the design of the recycling process to reduce the consumption of chemical reagents, which will produce unexpected secondary pollution.

Exercise has been shown to have beneficial effects on brain functions in humans and animals. Exercise can improve memory and learning in age-related neurodegenerative diseases. In animal models, physical exercise regulates epigenetics, promotes synaptic plasticity and hippocampal neurogenesis, regulates the expression levels of neurotrophic factors, and improves cognitive function. Therefore, exercise is very important for brain rehabilitation and remodeling. The purpose of this review is to explore the mechanisms by which exercise exerts positive effects on brain function. This knowledge implies that physical exercise can be used as a non-drug therapy for neurological diseases.

The oral delivery of genistein (GEN) is hindered by its low bioavailability. The delivery of tetramethylpyrazine (TMP or ligustrazine) is faced with physical instability challenges due to its high sublimation tendency. We tackled respective challenges of the two drugs by forming a cocrystal. The GEN-TMP cocrystal exhibits a significantly reduced sublimation tendency than TMP and a significant enhancement in both the in vitrorelease rate and bioavailability in rats than GEN. Thus, cocrystallization simultaneously improves pharmaceutical properties of both parent drugs.

Depression is a widespread and persistent psychiatric disease. Due to various side effects and no curative treatments of conventional antidepressant drugs, botanical medicines have attracted considerable attention as a complementary and alternative approach. The pathogenesis of depression is quite complicated and unclear. Metabolomics is a promising new technique for the discovery of novel biomarkers for exploring the potential mechanisms of diverse diseases and assessing the therapeutic effects of drugs. In this article, we systematically reviewed the study of botanical medicine for the treatment of depression using metabolomics over a period from 2010 to 2019. Additionally, we summarized the potential biomarkers and metabolic pathways associated with herbal medicine treatment for depression. Through a comprehensive evaluation of herbal medicine as novel antidepressants and understanding of their pharmacomechanisms, a new perspective on expanding the application of botanical medicines for the treatment of depression is provided.

ABSTRACTBackgroundAside from personal beliefs, women’s intention to uptake human papillomavirus vaccination can be influenced by their perceived risks of developing cervical cancer and daily communication.ObjectivesThis study incorporated perceived risks and communication factors (i.e., media attention and interpersonal discussion) with theory of planned behavioral factors (i.e., attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control) to predict women’s intentions to uptake human papillomavirus vaccination in China.MethodsA quantitative survey was conducted with 417 female university students in China. The Structural Equation Modeling analysis was applied to test the proposed extended TPB model and to examine the hypotheses in Mplus software.ResultsThe results showed that the original theory of planned behavior factors and the perceived risk toward cervical cancer were positively related to their intention to uptake human papillomavirus vaccination. Moreover, media attention and interpersonal discussion positively affected people’s attitudes toward human papillomavirus vaccination and subjective norm, which further influenced their intentions to uptake human papillomavirus vaccination.ConclusionThis study can help better understand unvaccinated eligible vaccine recipients and identify the differences between individuals who are likely and unlikely to get vaccinated.

This work provides a simple method to prepare a hydrophilic/oleophobic coating using polyester filter cloth as the substrate, a mixture of three hydrophilic polymers (poly(aspartic acid), poly(acrylic acid), and poly(vinyl alcohol)); SiO2with an average particle size of 30 nm is used to improve the surface roughness of the filter cloth. Then, a long fluorocarbon chain of 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyltriethoxysilane is grafted onto the surface by a vacuum silanization coupling reaction to obtain hydrophilic/oleophobic properties. The water and hexadecane contact angles of the treated filter cloth are 3 and 99.8°, respectively. A separation efficiency of 98% was achieved in hexadecane/water separation. The durability test shows that the separation efficiency of toward hexadecane–water mixture remains more than 98% after 20 cycles. The obtained material also presents a strong underwater antipollution property when using hexane, rapeseed oil, mineral oil, and pump oil as model pollutants. For oils with higher viscosity, the separation efficiency remains above 97%. However, the separation efficiency is ∼80% when treating emulsions.

The in situ growth of nano-array on material structure is a novel and high-efficient strategy to design catalysts, however, it still remains a challenge to fabricate unique nano-architecture electrocatalyst with prominent activity and superior durability for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, a unique nano-architecture catalyst is successfully synthesized by using NiFe LDH nanosheets as framework to the in situ growth Mo-doped Ni2P ultrafine nanosheets (marked as Mo-Ni2P@NiFe LDH/NF). The unique 3D core-shell nano-architecture is favorable for enhancing electron transfer/mass diffusion, providing abundant active sites, prompting O2/H2gas release, and creating the synergistic effect between Mo-Ni2P and NiFe LDH. Therefore, comparing with pure NiFe LDH/NF and Mo-Ni2P/NF electrodes, walnut-like Mo-Ni2P@NiFe LDH/NF catalyst exhibits significantly improved electrocatalytic activities and durability towards OER (269 mV @ 40 mA cm−2), HER (82 mV @ 10 mA cm−2), and overall water splitting (1.46 V @ 10 mA cm−2), respectively. Such electrocatalytic activity of Mo-Ni2P@NiFe LDH/NF is comparable with that of majority reported non-precious metal catalysts and even precious catalysts (IrO2and Pt/C). This work presents a new perspective strategy to fabricate ingeniously bifunctional electrocatalysts with well-designed structure and superior performance for clean energy conversion technologies or storage devices.

ABSTRACTInformation about human papillomavirus (HPV) disease and its vaccination has been increasingly communicated and discussed on social media platforms. The current study aims to investigate the coverage of HPV-related information on one of the most popular Chinese social media – Zhihu. Data for this study were user-generated articles, which were identified and collected by a Python web crawler with keyword searching. The final sample included a total of 115 articles, covering a two-year period between 2017 and 2018. Each article was coded for several key characteristics, including HPV epidemiological information, health belief model (HBM) constructs, framing strategy, and responses to the article. Results suggested that most of the articles reported HPV’s relationship to cervical cancer, HPV severity, and vaccination benefits. Thematic framing was more often used by the Zhihu articles to disseminate HPV-related issues, and a significant relationship between framing strategy and information coverage was found. The study has not only theoretically extended the literature of online HPV vaccine information coverage, but also practically suggested the needs to communicate comprehensive and detailed knowledge about HPV vaccination on Chinese social media.

Globally, to build cities and communities more inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable is one of the most important sustainable development goals. Eco-districts in cities emerged as an answer to current global environmental concerns and have been developed in France since the 1990s. The objective of this work is to gather operational feedback from sustainable neighborhood projects owners to better understand the key barriers of such projects and how to overcome them. A case study of the eco-district Les Tanneries, Lingolsheim showed that the carbon footprint of each inhabitant annually amounted to 4 tons CO2equivalent, more than half of the French average. Rooms for improvements were clearly identified regarding transports and food carbon footprint. Indicators for energy consumption, social diversity and density reached the level of the eco-districts average. A governance review pointed out some superior practices such as the formalization of a specification requirements handbook, a competition between project management teams, and the use of neighborhood sustainability assessment tools to measure and track changes in performance. The validated tools and obtained results can be useful in building sustainable cities and even China’s ecological civilization.
