Targets to be localized in the Device-Free Localization (DFL) scheme are generally moving, making the location vectors hold different supports. However, the existing Multiple Measurement Vectors (MMV) algorithms need the estimated vectors to own the same support, which is invalid for the moving objects. In this letter, we propose a novel algorithm called Potential Greedy Matching Pursuit (PGMP), in which the moving object counting and localization issue is investigated under the Compressive Sensing (CS) framework for the first time. Firstly, we exploit the mobility characteristics and design the potential dictionary to store the relationship between the target positions, which can significantly reduce the domain of the possible target positions. Then we build the index dictionary to collect all the possible target traces, among which the real target positions can be selected through the iteration. Finally, we create a novel criterion to recover the real target traces, which has low computation complexity. Simulations show that PGMP can significantly improve target counting and localization performance.

Two-dimensional (2D) direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation with arbitrary planar sparse array has attracted more interest in massive multiple-input multiple-output application. The research on this issue recently has been advanced with the development of atomic norm technique, which provides super resolution methods for DOA estimation, when the number of snapshots is limited. In this paper, we study the problem of 2D DOA estimation from the sparse array with the sensors randomly selected from uniform rectangular array. In order to identify all azimuth and elevation angles of the incident sources jointly, the 2D atomic norm approach is proposed, which can be solved by semidefinite programming. However, the computational cost of 2D atomic norm is high. To address this issue, our work further reduces the computational complexity of the problem significantly by utilizing the atomic norm approximation method based on the concept of multiple measurement vectors. The numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the practical ability of the proposed method to reduce computational complexity and retain the estimation performance as compared to the competitors.

Aromatic‐substituted derivatives of 1,3,2‐diazaphospholidin‐4‐ones 2a–gwere readily prepared from 1,3‐diaryl glycinamides 1by the reaction with hexaethylphosphoric triamide. Their chemical transformation was selectively effected with different thionation reagents to afford thionated products at the phosphorus atom to give 3a–gand at the carbonyl group to give 4a. An oxidation reaction at phosphorus to produce 5awas effected with 10% hydrogen peroxide. Preliminary bioassays revealed that some of the title compounds, 2a–gand 3a–gpossess selective herbicidal activity against rape. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Heteroatom Chem 12:497–500, 2001

In an attempt to discover novel compounds with high herbicidal activity and low toxicity, a series of novel 1,2,4‐triazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine derivatives, α‐(5,7‐dimethyl‐1,2,4‐triazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine‐2‐thio)acetamides 3and α‐(5,7‐dimethyl‐1,2,4‐triazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine‐2‐sul‐fonyl)acetamides 4, have been designed and synthesized by a three‐step synthetic route. The structures of all compounds prepared were confirmed by elemental analyses and by 1H NMR and mass spectroscopy. The results of preliminary bioassay indicate that the title compounds possess good herbicidal activity against rape (Brassica campestris L.) and barnyardgrass (Echinochloca crusgalli L.) © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
