There are numerous possibilities of developing programs for C.N.C. machines with AutoCAD using Visual Lisp, from generating the code directly using existing 2D drawings, to simulating the N.C. code in AutoCAD. With the aid of objects (or entities) in AutoCAD and the capabilities of Lisp programming language to utilize them, an application was made, which consists of nearly 2600 lines of Lisp code, about 90.000 bytes (or characters), uses nearly 220 variables, has a custom user interface and gives the user (C.N.C. programmer) major advantage in writing simple codes for machining holes, contours and faces, in other words, when the machining process uses only two axis simultaneously. The main goal is aiding the user in writing and debugging the simpler codes, where using other CAM software is more time consuming than writing the code manually. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
