The main purpose of this article is studying features of strategic management of the interaction of state institutions and enterprises from the position of finding compromise solutions, and the appropriate tools that allow ensuring a balance of interests of society and business in the implementation of foreign economic activity. The methodological basis of the study is game theory, since it is the most acceptable tool used if there is a conflict of interests of the parties. Moreover, the parties to such a conflict often make strategic decisions without knowing about the decisions of their opponents, which we observe in modern business. The game model of interaction between FEA participants and state institutions, developed in the main part of the study, is presented in the form of a non-coalition game. This paper aims to analyze the online communication methods used by the Romanian Police before the crisis caused by the global pandemic COVID-19 (and the decree on imposing the state of emergency). Among the public institutions, the Romanian Police is one of the most active in its relationship with the public. The image of the Romanian agent has always fluctuated between police officer jokes and stories of street heroes, without ever being able to reach the size of a James Bond persona with the status of a civil servant. In the case of the adoption of communication with the outside world through Facebook by the Romanian police, the analysis showed that before the COVID-19 pandemic we could not speak of a fully professional communication strategy. At that time, there were, admittedly, some Facebook pages that correctly defined both their organizational identity and the external procedures for entering into dialogue with others. However, most of the Facebook pages considered in the analysis did not have a professionally constructed identity for the community to which they were addressed. On the other hand, from the perspective of the content strictly related to the activity of the Romanian police, our analysis highlighted the fact that most of the Facebook pages owned by the Romanian police were not able to communicate all types of information specific to their field of interest. Surveillance was extensively analyzed in the literature from multiple standpoints. Some studies looked to the temporal development of surveillance, while others analyzed the traditional theories that influenced many of the contemporary surveillance studies. All these studies define surveillance as an activity that is ubiquitous and performed globally, by multiple private and public institutions, through the involvement of specific technologies. However, little attention was paid to the perceptions of citizens about surveillance. This article addresses this gap in the literature and analyses how state surveillance is perceived by the Romanian citizens according to the socio-demographic factors (i.e., age, education, income, gender and medium of residence). The aim of the study is to explain how socio-demographic factors influence the acceptance of state surveillance. It also controls for the left-right self-placement, and the use of Facebook as source of information. The statistical analysis uses individual level data from an original survey conducted between October-November 2020. The survey was completed by 1,140 respondents, and the article uses correlation and linear regression to analyze the data. The findings illustrate that the acceptance of state surveillance is influenced by the gender, level of education and medium of residence of the individuals. In the context of the arrival of Syrians as of 2011 and the subsequent humanitarian assistance received in light of the EU–Turkey deal in 2016, there has been increased control over civil society organizations (CSOs) in Turkey. Through the case study of language education, this paper examines the relationship between the state and CSOs as shaped by the presence of Syrian refugees and how it evolved through the autonomy of state bureaucracy. It demonstrates that increased control led to the proliferation of larger projects, the deterrence of smaller CSOs, and a hierarchy between organizations prioritizing those that are aligned with the state. It argues that this policy is not only the result of the increased lack of trust between state and civil society but also an attempt to channel funds through state institutions to handle an unprecedented number of refugees while externalizing some of its functions. At the same time, this emerging relationship effectively allows the state to avoid making long-term integration policies and facing growing tensions among the public. This study is based on a qualitative study encompassing interviews with state officials as well as stakeholders in different types of CSOs that deliver language education for adults. The topicality of the study is determined by the need to find optimal ways of innovative entrepreneurship financing as an important factor of economic growth of the country's economy. The article is aimed at developing conceptual, organizational and methodical bases of innovative development financing in the context of macroeconomic reforms in Kazakhstan, identifying the role of state development institutions and financial instruments applied in the implementation of the state program of industrial-innovative development. The research substantiates the specific proposals to improve the state policy in innovation financing, shows the role of financial and credit instruments in the economic and innovative development of the country as the fundamental factors affecting the dynamic development of innovation, studies the basic forms and methods of the country's innovative development stimulation, examines international experience and analyzes the level of innovative activity financing. The research findings are of practical value for improving the process of state regulation of the innovative entrepreneurship financing, the rational allocation of available public and private (commercial) resources; streamlining methods of providing state support for innovative entrepreneurship; raising the level of investment attractiveness of innovative entrepreneurship through the organization of effective interaction of this institute with innovative infrastructure facilities. Last 4 years showed to Romania that is impossible to deny the national feeling of passionately activism in politics: for sure, we are Latin and we remain Latin. All this big debate was related to a person and to his position in Romanian state.However, no one was able to be totally independent in his/her analyze, and, if he/she was totally independent, the press take hundreds of attacks against every person who wrote any opinion in this special problem: what kind on republic want we? Politicians want to change this year our Constitution, but I believe they won't be able to do this. In this context, we must start a real national debate of public law specialists, about this institutional problem: we want one president and one prime-minister with powers, or a prime-minister with powers and a president like a puppet? This kind of speech appears now because in 2012 and the key-word of our politics was the legitimacy. In this article, levels of confidence in state and non-state institutions are investigated and compared in Chile, Germany, Poland, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden and Turkey. Varying levels of confidence are measured by analysing two different data sets: one derived from surveys conducted on political elites, and the other from those conducted on the general public in all seven countries under investigation. Three explanatory models for confidence in institutions are introduced and tested to assess the extent to which they account for variances in levels of confidence between and amongst political elite and the general public of the seven nations. Although the three explanatory models appear to be weak, the results show that political factors are most significant in explaining confidence in state institutions amongst the political elite, while social and cultural factors best explain their confidence in non-state institutions. A combination of social, cultural and political factors best explains institutional confidence amongst the masses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Today governance involves multiple stakeholders, interdependent resources and actions, shared purposes and blurred boundaries between the public and private, formal and informal, state and civil society sectors, and greater need for coordination, negotiation and building consensus. The key tasks for governments therefore are coordinating an increasingly complex and fragmented governance landscape, steering interdependent activities through new institutional frameworks and bargaining processes, and integrating and managing diverse networks. A cursory look at cities and countries in Africa reveals that this is a heterogeneous continent and that many systems/arrangements to address the waste problems are in place. Only some of these systems have achieved a measure of success. This study describes, compares and appraises the solid waste management state institutions in three towns-Mwanza in Tanzania, Jinja in Uganda and Kisumu in Kenya vis a vis the governance concept with a view of recommending policy options. Interviews held with officials in the urban authorities and representatives of non-state actors; household surveys; document analysis and observation were the methods used to inform the issues covered in this paper. Abstract: The concept of care is receiving heightened attention in geographical debate. In studies of state institutions and social governance, a crisis of care is argued to have arisen with the advance of neoliberalism, driving the decline of welfare states and ensuing reductions in the mechanisms and practices of state-funded social support. A key part of this debate has been an attempt to ‘revive’ care within these social governing spaces, with care positioned as a potentially liberating resistance to neoliberalism. Whilst such studies draw valuable attention to trends in social governance, care appears only in relation to neoliberalism, detached from its everyday performances as part of innately peopled and practised state institutions. In this paper, I assemble a prosaic and less prescriptive framing of care and state institutions. I draw on accounts of workers engaged in an Australian human service programme who describe and enact a diversity of caring practices and relations in their everyday performances of human service provision as part of state institutions. I argue that care not only be considered in opposition to neoliberalism but also as part of a vital and prosaic ethic of working that is ‘at home’ in state institutions. Such an attention to care in human service work presents an opportunity to nurture the everyday performances and potentialities of care as part of these state spaces. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
