In deep learning, it is possible that training efficiency will suffer as a result of redundant data. A lower amount of training data, on the other hand, may result in a model that is unable to capture the necessary features hidden within the dataset. In this paper, we use machine-deep-statistical model to analyse the stability of thermal storage systems i.e., battery in terms of managing the energy storage. These three models offer a prominent success across various applications and in this study, it uses life prediction, state estimation, defect diagnosis, fault detection, behaviour and property analysis via proper modelling and optimization. The validation is conducted in terms of various metrics to estimate the proposed model against various methods. The results of simulation shows that the proposed method achieves higher degree of accuracy with reduced prediction errors than other methods.

In the classical incubation of drug craving rat model, drug seeking is assessed after homecage forced abstinence. However, human abstinence is often voluntary because negative consequences of drug seeking outweigh the desire for the drug. Here, we developed a rat model of incubation of opioid craving after electric barrier-induced voluntary abstinence and determined whether the dopamine stabilizer (−)-OSU6162 would decrease this new form of incubation. We trained male and female rats to self-administer oxycodone (0.1 mg/kg/infusion, 6 h/day) for 14 days. We then exposed them to either homecage forced abstinence or voluntary abstinence induced by an electric barrier of increasing intensity near the drug-paired lever. On abstinence days 1, 15, or 30, we tested the rats for oxycodone seeking without shock and drug. We also examined the effect of (−)-OSU6162 (7.5 and 15 mg/kg) on oxycodone seeking on abstinence day 1 or after 15 days of either voluntary or forced abstinence. Independent of sex, the time-dependent increase in oxycodone seeking after cessation of opioid self-administration (incubation of opioid craving) was stronger after voluntary abstinence than after forced abstinence. In males, (−)-OSU6162 decreased incubated (day 15) but not non-incubated (day 1) oxycodone seeking after either voluntary or forced abstinence. In females, (−)-OSU6162 modestly decreased incubated oxycodone seeking after voluntary but not forced abstinence. Results suggest that voluntary abstinence induced by negative consequences of drug seeking can paradoxically potentiate opioid craving and relapse. We propose the dopamine stabilizer (−)-OSU6162 may serve as an adjunct pharmacological treatment to prevent relapse in male opioid users.

Purpose:The major cause of chronic hepatitis is infections with hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus (HCV) globally. However, there exists sparse epidemiological data regarding the prevalence of HCV infection from India. Methodology:We carried out a cross-sectional study to estimate the prevalence of anti-HCV antibody among acute febrile illness cases aged between 1 and 65 years in Idar Taluk, Sabarkantha district, Gujarat state located in West India. A total of 702 serum samples collected from the study area during the year 2017, were screened for anti-hepatitis C IgG by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The serum samples screened positive were then subjected to molecular testing for confirmation. Results:Among the 702 study participants screened, 16 cases were reported to be anti-HCV IgG positive with an estimated seroprevalence rate of 2.3% (95% confidence interval: 1.4%–3.7%). Out of the 16 cases, two samples were confirmed positive by molecular testing indicating active infection. When analysed phylogenetically, one strain was genotyped as HCV1b genotype, and the other one was clustered along with HCV3a genotype. Both the patients with hepatitis C infection were observed to be having a probable 1-year survival rate of 100% and a 2-year survival rate of 85% when the Child-Turcotte-Pugh classification was applied. Conclusion:The estimated seroprevalence of hepatitis C in Idar Taluk, Sabarkantha district, west India was 2.3%. HCV genotypes 1b and 3a were observed to be circulating in the study area.

Plant viruses often encode suppressors of host RNA silencing machinery, which occasionally function as avirulence factors that are recognized by host resistance (R) proteins. For example, the ArabidopsisR protein, hypersensitive response to TCV (HRT), recognizes the turnip crinkle virus (TCV) coat protein (CP). HRT-mediated resistance requires the RNA-silencing component double-stranded RNA-binding protein 4 (DRB4) even though it neither is associated with the accumulation of TCV-specific small RNA nor requires the RNA silencing suppressor function of CP. HRT interacts with the cytosolic fraction of DRB4. Interestingly, TCV infection both increases the cytosolic DRB4 pool and inhibits the HRT-DRB4 interaction. The virulent R8A CP derivative, which induces a subset of HRT-derived responses, also disrupts this interaction. The differential localization of DRB4 in the presence of wild-type and R8A CP implies the importance of subcellular compartmentalization of DRB4. The requirement of DRB4 in resistance to bacterial infection suggests a universal role in R-mediated defense signaling.

Pearl millet [Pennisetum glaucum(L) R Br] is one of the widely grown cereal crops in the arid and semi-arid regions of Africa and India. We undertook a study to ascertain the genetic diversity in 21 elite inbreds (parental lines of 13 pearl millet hybrids in India) using 20 Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and 21 Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) markers. Based on Polymorphism Information Content (PIC) and unique banding profiles, 6 RAPD primers OPD12, OPA16, OPB6, OPA19, OPB5 and OPB1, and 3 SSR markers Xpsmp2208, Xpsmp2223and Xpsmp2220, were found to be highly discriminative. The PIC values ranged from 0.28 to 0.48 for the RAPD and from 0.24 to 0.60 for the SSR markers. Cluster analysis and principal component analysis of the combined dataset of RAPD and SSR markers indicated moderate genetic divergence among the elite pearl millet germplasm, besides unraveling the genetic relationships among the male sterile lines and the restorers.

An empirical mathematical model has been developed for the simulation of an integrated solvent extraction circuit consisting of an extractor, scrubber and a stripper. This model is designed to simulate the separation of any lanthanide from a mixed lanthanide feed. The Kremser equation is used to calculate the separation occurring in each section of the circuit. The inputs required for the simulation are the feed composition, separation factors, equilibrium data of the key element under a wide range of conditions, the number of stages and flow rates of the aqueous and organic streams in the circuit. This model has been validated with the experimental data for the separation of Nd from a mixed lanthanide chloride feed with 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono 2-ethyl-hexyl ester (EHPNA) as an extractant.

The carpels of pearl millet (Pennisetum typhoides) are infected bySclerospora graminicola. Vegetative mycelium present in the diseased mother plant infects the carpel through the stalk of the spikelet. This process may or may not cause hypertrophy. Zoospores infect the carpel through the stimga and style, without inducing hypertrophy. Infection process leading to the establishment of downy mildew mycelium in the carpellary tissue and its implications are discussed.

The downy mildew disease, incited by Sclerospora graminicola, is a major biotic constraint for pearl millet production in the semi-arid tropics. Sources of resistance to this disease have been identified. However, the mechanism of host resistance still remains obscure. The enzyme lipoxygenase (LOX) is known to play a role in disease resistance in many host-pathosystems. In the present study, LOX activity was tested in seeds of different genotypes of pearl millet with different susceptibility to downy mildew. The LOX assay of the seeds indicated a good correlation between enzyme activity and their downy mildew reaction in the field. Maximum activity was recorded in seeds of highly resistant genotypes and minimum activity was found in the highly susceptible genotypes. Seeds obtained from plants recovered from the downy mildew disease had more LOX activity than that of the original parent seeds. Thus, in seeds, the LOX activity can be used as a biochemical marker for screening different genotypes of pearl millet for downy mildew. The study, carried out in the susceptible genotype of pearl millet seedlings, showed that LOX activity decreased after inoculating with S. graminicola zoospores when compared with uninoculated controls. However, a significant increase in the enzyme activity was observed on the second and third days after inoculation in resistant seedlings. The possible role of LOX in conferring resistance to downy mildew infection of pearl millet is discussed.
