Introduction: The impact of immunosuppression on prognosis of carbapenem-resistant organism (CRO) bloodstream infection (BSI) remains unclear. The aim of this study was to clarify the relationship between immunosuppression and mortality of CRO-BSI and to identify the risk factors associated with mortality in immunosuppressed patients. Methods: This retrospective study included 279 patients with CRO-BSI from January 2018 to March 2023. Clinical characteristics and outcomes were compared between the immunosuppressed and immunocompetent patients. The relationship between immunosuppression and 30-day mortality after BSI onset was assessed through logistic-regression analysis, propensity score matching (PSM) and inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW). Factors associated with mortality in immunosuppressed patients were analyzed using multivariable logistic regression analysis. Results: A total of 88 immunocompetent and 191 immunosuppressed patients were included, with 30-day all-cause mortality of 58.8%. Although the 30-day mortality in immunosuppressed patients was significantly higher than in immunocompetent patients (46.6% vs. 64.4%, P= 0.007), immunosuppression was not an independent risk factor for mortality in multivariate logistic regression analysis (odds ratio [OR] 3.53, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.74–18.89; P= 0.123), PSM (OR 1.38, 95% CI 0.60–3.18; P= 0.449,) or IPTW (OR 1.40, 95% CI 0.58–3.36; P= 0.447). For patients with CRO-BSI, regardless of immune status, appropriate antibiotic therapy was associated with decreased 30-day mortality, while Charlson comorbidity index (CCI), intensive care unit (ICU)-acquired infection and thrombocytopenia at CRO-BSI onset were associated with increased mortality. Conclusion: Despite the high mortality rate of CRO-BSI, immunosuppression did not affect the mortality. Appropriate antibiotic therapy is crucial for improving the prognosis of CRO-BSI, regardless of the immune status.

To evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy of kukoamine B (KB), an alkaloid compound with high affinity for both lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and oligodeoxynucle-otides containing CpG motifs (CpG DNA), in patients with sepsis-induced organ failure.

Single-electron transistor (SET) at room temperature has been demonstrated as a promising device for extending Moore’s law due to its ultra-low power consumption. Existing SET synthesis methods synthesize a Boolean network into a large reconfigurable SET array where the height of SET array equals the number of primary inputs. However, recent experiments on device level have shown that this height is restricted to a small number, say, 10, rather than arbitrary value due to the ultra-low driving strength of SET devices. On the other hand, the width of an SET array is also suggested to be a small value. Consequently, it is necessary to decompose a large SET array into a set of small SET arrays where each of them realizes a sub-function of the original circuit with no more than 10 inputs. Thus, this article presents two techniques for achieving area-efficient SET array decomposition: One is a width minimization algorithm for reducing the area of a single SET array; the other is a depth-bounded mapping algorithm, which decomposes a Boolean network into many sub-functions such that the widths of the corresponding SET arrays are balanced. The width minimization algorithm leads to a 25--41 improvement compared to the state of the art, and the mapping algorithm achieves a 60 reduction in total area compared to a naïve approach.

This article does research on 4MSC-3000 cotton picker transmission system thorough. It establishes transmission system dynamics model and vibration differential equation, ADAMS virtual prototyping technology is used to do simulation on the transmission system. Kinematics relations and dynamic characteristics of the transmission system are found out. Through the dynamic analysis of the model to solve, we can get kinetic curve of gearbox, each axis, gears and so on. Then provide the necessary theoretical basis for follow-up prototype design.

This article uses the flow field numerical simulation technology, it does simulation research for the flow field of the whole pneumatic conveying cotton trunk, through studying different types of jet orifice of the conveying trunk of comb—type cotton picker, finding out the influence of jet orifice width on pressure and velocity field, further understanding flow field distribution characteristics of the internal pneumatic cotton conveyance system, and providing necessary basis for the machine.

Zhishin clay and Black Hill bentonite are used as raw clay materials in this study. These clays are mixed with Taitung area hard shale to produce the backfill material for potential application as barrier for the disposal of low-level radioactive waste. The interaction between concrete barrier and the backfill materials is simulated by an accelerated migration test to investigate the effect of concrete on the expected functions of backfill material. The results show some decrease in swelling potential in the backfill material near the interface. Also, backfill material close to the contact with concrete exhibits greater change in the ratio of calcium/sodium concentration, due to the release of calcium ions from the concrete material.

Effects of different impact angles such as 45°and 90°on the erosion-abrasion properties of Al-Mn alloy and its composites reinforced with Al2O3 particulates were studied by rotating erosion-abrasion test, and the failure mechanism were analyzed. The results show that the as-cast Al-Mn alloy is composed of aluminium-manganese solid solution, MnAl6 and Al11Mn4 phase, while the δ-Al2O3 particles are included in the composites besides the aforementioned microstructures. The cumulative mass loss of the Al-Mn alloy and its composites at 45° are both more than those at 90°, however, the loss of the composites are lower than those of the Al-Mn alloy, suggesting that the former possesses more excellent erosion-abrasion resistance properties.

Designing a top-stem-cutter part for the top-cutter machine. Adams was used to analysis the moving simulation, with the help of it, the normal structure and dimension were inspected and verified. In this paper, the tract of the top-stem-cutter part analyzed by Adams was matched the result from the theoretical calculations; the model and structure also had been analyzed by Ansys, which provided a way to analysis and verify the machine, and analysis of the model can get the nature frequency of the top-stem-cutter part, and it had given us a way to lower frequency of machine; the structure analysis provided that the stress of the top-stem-cutter part should be lower than certain value.

In this paper, we used the dynamic strain measurement method to measure the top-cutter machine of cotton’s stress under its working state. With sorting out data and analyzing it, we obtained the stress condition of the framing and the working parts. And the measurement result could be used to analyze the axle’s fatigue strength and check whether it was safe or not. It provided integrant basis for the further design of the machine.

This paper carried on mechanics analysis and the research to the Curved Rake Tine Frame and Headstock of film recycling machine which could cut cotton stalk and recycle the used film simultaneously. This machine was developed by the Institute of Agriculture Machine Xingjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This paper used servile methods to identify the structural deficiencies such as Visualization Virtual Design, Finite Element Method and Testing Method. These data provided a theoretical basis for the design of the Curved Rake Tine Frame and Headstock.

To construct a reversible sequential circuit, reversible sequential elements are required. This work presents novel designs of reversible sequential elements such as the D latch, JK latch, and T latch. Based on these reversible latches, we construct the designs of the corresponding flip-flops. Then we further discuss the physical implementations of our designs based on electron waveguide Y-branch switch technology. Test costs, including test generation and test application, of reversible sequential circuits with these reversible flip-flops are also discussed. Compared with previous work, the implementation cost of our new designs, including the number of gates and the number of garbage outputs, is significantly reduced. The number of gates in our designs is 47.4% of the designs in previous work on average. The number of garbage outputs in our designs is 25% of the designs in previous work on average.

Cu-Zn alloy micropillars were fabricated by a potentiostatic localized electrochemical deposition (LECD) process. This process was carried out via micro-anode-guided electroplating in a pyrophosphate bath at a constant negative potential in the range −1.85 to −2.05 V. Different products were produced, depending on the initial inter-electrode gap employed. Thus, at an initial gap of 40 μm, the process afforded micropillars with a single α-brass crystal phase and at.% Zn contents in the range 17.20–32.01%. A reduction in the initial gap to 30 μm resulted in varied micropillar crystal phases (α, β, and β + β') with at.% Zn contents in the range 37.12–68.94. The simulation commercial software COMSOL 5.2 was employed to correlate the asymmetric distribution of the electric field to the experimental parameters and pillar characteristics. The resultant data was then used to delineate the dependence of the field strength on the crystal phase, composition, growth rate, and micropillar diameters. Finally, a potentiodynamic cathodic polarization study was employed to elucidate the mechanism for the fabrication of the Cu-Zn alloy micropillars via potentiostatic LECD.

Si nanocrystal with a high density of 5.1×1011cm−2and an average size of 7.2 nm has been achieved on the NH3-nitrided tunnel oxide, and the density is higher than that formed on the untreated tunnel oxide by a factor of 3.2. The higher density obtained by this technique is attributed to the lower activation energy for the Si nanocrystal nucleation growth on the nitrogen-containing surface of the nitrided tunnel oxide. The memory device with such a high nanocrystal density demonstrates a 1.79 V threshold voltage shift by programming at 10 V for 10 ms and a negligible memory window degradation up to 106program/erase cycles. The good charge storage capability is evidenced by an extrapolated 10 year memory window of 0.92 V at 150°C.

A newly developed storage dielectric was found to have exceptional competence to prolong the life span of existent NO-based dielectrics by adopting N2Owet oxidation and postoxidation treatment. Compared with the conventional NOdielectric, 12.6% cell capacitance enhancement can be achieved while keeping a comparable leakage current. The reliability performance is also qualified with less than 438ppmfailure rate after 10-years of operation. In addition to the distinguished electrical characteristics, the intriguing point is its process simplicity since the N2O-related process could be fully integrated into the current furnace process. Combining the promising properties, this economical technique would be favorable for dynamic random access memory (DRAM) manufacturers to control their chip cost in the increasingly competitive arena.
