The article discusses a study which analyzed flow and thermal characteristics of leaked liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the glass wool for the Mark 3 cargo containment system (CCS). Pressure distribution of the glass wool was evaluated and simulation result was compared to experimental results. It was found that permeability decreases as the bulk density increases.

The article discusses a study which analyzed buckling strength for No. 96 insulation box system, which is made up of plywood plates reinforced with various thicknesses of glass fiber composite materials. The system was compared with the buckling load of unreinforced plywood. It was noted that the reinforced plywood provides significantly improving buckling load characteristics.
