Engineering heterointerfaces via molecular bridging has been crucial for achieving perovskite solar cells (PSCs) featuring optimal power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) and environmental durability. However, the challenge remains in ensuring interfacial mechanical reliability to enhance the long-term durability of PSCs. Herein, an ion-mediated molecular bridging strategy is intentionally exploited to improve the mechanical integrity between the perovskite bottom and electron-transport layers (ETLs) through balancing interfacial toughness and strength. As a demonstration of the concept, a zwitterionic guanylurea phosphate additive is preburied onto the SnO2ETL, in which the guanylurea with bifacial NH2groups servers as a molecular bridge connecting the perovskite and ETL through electrostatic coupling, while the phosphate can interact with charged species at the heterointerface to strengthen the mechanical contact. Benefiting from the robust heterointerfaces, the mechanical durability of flexible PSCs is significantly enhanced, retaining 91.3% of the original efficiency following 6000 bending cycles (bending radius = 3 mm). Additionally, the enhanced mechanical integrity at the buried interface also benefits the charge transfer and chemical stability in rigid PSCs, contributing to PCEs of over 25% as well as thermal stability with T86of 1200 h under aging at 85 °C.

In previous reports, covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have demonstrated significant potential as lubricant additives. Herein, we embedded Ag nanoparticles in the DT-COF (polycondensation polymer of 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalaldehyde and 4,4′,4″-(1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl) trianiline) matrix via the ball milling method and utilized this composite (Ag@DT-COF) as an additive for supermolecule oil gel. The low molecular weight gelator effectively mitigates the dispersion challenges of COFs in lubricant oil, while the embedded Ag nanoparticles enhance the repairing effect and antipressure performance of the lubricant. The resulting Ag@DT-COF gel exhibits a reduction in the average friction coefficient and wear volume of base oil by 46.0% and 87.5%, respectively, and increases the load-carrying capacity to 750 N. The remarkable tribological properties are attributed to the easy adsorption of DT-COF, antiwear characteristic of Ag nanoparticles, and the gelator that ensures the long-term stability of oil gel.

Quantifying differences in secondary organic aerosols (SOAs) between the preindustrial period and the present day is crucial to assess climate forcing and environmental effects resulting from anthropogenic activities. The lack of vegetation information for the preindustrial period and the uncertainties in describing SOA formation are two leading factors preventing simulation of SOA. This study calculated the online emissions of biogenic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the Aerosol and Atmospheric Chemistry Model of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP-AACM) by coupling the Model of Emissions of Gases and Aerosols from Nature (MEGAN), where the input vegetation parameters were simulated by the IAP Dynamic Global Vegetation Model (IAP-DGVM). The volatility basis set (VBS) approach was adopted to simulate SOA formation from the nontraditional pathways, i.e., the oxidation of intermediate VOCs and aging of primary organic aerosol. Although biogenic SOAs (BSOAs) were dominant in SOAs globally in the preindustrial period, the contribution of nontraditional anthropogenic SOAs (ASOAs) to the total SOAs was up to 35.7%. In the present day, the contribution of ASOAs was 2.8 times larger than that in the preindustrial period. The contribution of nontraditional sources of SOAs to SOA was as high as 53.1%. The influence of increased anthropogenic emissions in the present day on BSOA concentrations was greater than that of increased biogenic emission changes. The response of BSOA concentrations to anthropogenic emission changes in the present day was more sensitive than that in the preindustrial period. The nontraditional sources and the atmospheric oxidation capability greatly affect the global SOA change.

Herein, we have prepared SiO2particles uploaded MXene nanosheets via in-situhydrolysis of tetraetholothosilicate. Due to the large number of groups at the edges of MXene, SiO2grows at the edges first, forming MXene@SiO2composites with a unique core-rim structure. The tribological properties of MXene@SiO2as lubricating additive in 500 SN are evaluated by SRV-5. The results show that MXene@SiO2can reduce the friction coefficient of 500 SN from 0.572 to 0.108, the wear volume is reduced by 73.7%, and the load capacity is increased to 800 N. The superior lubricity of MXene@SiO2is attributed to the synergistic effect of MXene and SiO2. The rolling friction caused by SiO2not only improves the bearing capacity but also increases the interlayer distance of MXene, avoiding accumulation and making it more prone to interlayer slip. MXene@SiO2is adsorbed on the friction interface to form a physical adsorption film and isolate the friction pair. In addition, the high temperature and high load induce the tribochemical reaction and form a chemical protection film during in the friction process. Ultimately, the presence of these protective films results in MXene@SiO2having good lubricating properties.

• GLM nanodroplets with core-shell structure are prepared by laser irradiation. • The GLM nanodroplets can self-assemble on MXene to obtain MXene@GLM composites. • The MXene@GLM exhibit excellent lubricating properties as oil-based additives. Two-dimensional (2D) material MXene is a research hotspot in lubricating materials because of its unique layered structure, which provides weak interlayer interaction and easy shear ability. Herein, the liquid metal nanodroplets intercalated MXene were successfully prepared via pulsed laser treatment and self-assembly method. First, zero-dimensional (0D) nano gallium-based liquid metal (GLM) was synthesized by pulsed laser irradiation of bulk Ga 80 In 20 in acetone. Then, the GLM nanodroplets were loaded onto 2D MXene nanosheets via the effect of electrostatic adsorption to prepare MXene@GLM composite material. The as-obtained GLM not only widens the interlayer distance between MXene nanosheets, making it more susceptible to interlayer shear, but also enhances its lipophilicity. The friction test results showed that the MXene@GLM has the best lubrication performance with 1.0 wt% additive. The coefficient of friction (COF) of base oil PAO-6 can decrease from 0.79 to 0.097, the wear volume is reduced by 90.3 %, and the maximum load sustained reaches 950 N. The good tribological properties are mainly owing to the synergistic lubrication of GLM and MXene, which can form a continuous and firm tribofilm on the friction contact surface and avoid the direct contact of the friction pair. Hydrogels are ideal for antifouling materials due to their high hydrophilicity and low adhesion properties. Herein, poly(ionic liquid) hydrogels integrated with zwitterionic copolymer-functionalized gallium-based liquid metal (PMPC-GLM) microgels were successfully prepared by a one-pot reaction. Poly(ionic liquid) hydrogels (IL-Gel) were obtained by chemical cross-linking the copolymer of ionic liquid, acrylic acid, and acrylamide, and the introduction of ionic liquid (IL) significantly increased the cross-linking density; this approach consequently enhanced the mechanical and antiswelling properties of the hydrogels. The swelling ratio of IL-Gel decreased eight times compared to the original hydrogels. PMPC-GLM microgels were prepared through grafting the zwitterionic polymer PMPC onto the GLM nanodroplet surface, which exhibited efficient antifouling performance attributed to the bactericidal effect of Ga3+and the antibacterial effect of the zwitterionic polymer layer PMPC. Based on the synergistic effect of PMPC-GLM microgels and IL, the composite hydrogels PMPC-GLM@IL-Gel not only exhibited excellent mechanical and antiswelling properties but also showed outstanding antibacterial and antifouling properties. Consequently, PMPC-GLM@IL-Gel hydrogels achieved inhibition rates of over 90% against bacteria and more than 85% against microalgae.

The metal oxide electron transport layers (ETLs) with flat morphology and high electrical quality are essential to manufacture highly efficient perovskite solar cells (PSCs), in which the regulation of the metal oxide deposition process plays a crucial role. Herein, a judiciously designed dopamine sulfonate (DS) ligand-assisted deposition of titanium dioxide (TiO2) films approach is implemented based on electrostatic repulsion and steric hindrance of assembled ligands to improve colloidal nanoparticles dispersity in precursor and effectively inhibit their aggregation, which could enable obtaining smooth topography of TiO2films and initiating growth of top high-quality perovskite films. Furthermore, sulfonate bridges bonded on the perovskite buried layer that is beneficial to form better buried interface contact and accelerate electron extraction. As a result, the PSCs employing DS/TiO2ETLs exhibit the best power conversion efficiency of 24.53% with impressive storage stability and operation stability, i.e., remaining more than 88% of their initial efficiency upon storage N2glovebox without encapsulation over 4000 h, and the efficiency does not attenuate significantly under maximum power point for 60 h.

The present study utilizes styrene as a raw material to prepare hyper-cross-linked polystyrene nanospheres (HPSs) through the Friedel–Crafts reaction, establishing stable covalent bond structures within the polymer chains. The hydrophilic polystyrene nanospheres-TMA@SHPSs were successfully synthesized via sulfonation and ion exchange reactions, demonstrating exceptional properties in reducing friction and wear. Compared with pure water, the addition of 4.0 wt % TMA@SHPSs results in a 62.2% reduction in the friction coefficient, accompanied by a significant decrease to 1.17 × 105µm3in wear volume. The results demonstrate that TMA@SHPSs, as water-based lubrication additives, generate composite protective films (tribo-chemical protective films and physical protective films) during the friction process, which effectively prevents direct contact between the friction pairs and achieves remarkable antifriction and antiwear effects. The results of the antimicrobial activity test indicate that TMA@SHPSs demonstrate exceptional antibacterial efficacy due to the bacteriostatic effect induced by hydration and the bactericidal properties of quaternary ammonium cations.

In this work, the functionalized covalent organic framework (COF) was prepared via a convenient ball milling process. The aldehyde group terminated COF-F reacted with amino thiadiazole in the ball milling jar under mechanical forces; hence, the thiadiazole functionalized COF-F was obtained and denoted as Thdz@COF-F. The as-prepared Thdz@COF-F serves as an oil-based lubricant additive and exhibits remarkable tribological properties, which can reduce the average friction coefficient of base oil from 0.169 to 0.102 and decrease the wear volume by 87.0%. The antifriction and antiwear performances are mainly due to the repairing effect of Thdz@COF-F nanoparticles and the protective tribo-film that averts the direct contact of friction pairs. In addition, through the ball milling method, triazole and thiazole functionalized COF-F were also prepared and represented good lubrication performance, demonstrating the feasibility of this mechanochemical synthesis method for functionalized COFs.

Herein, the novel core–shell organo-inorganic hybrid carbon nanospheres with encapsulated ultrafine bimetal nanocrystals were successfully prepared by a one-pot domino drive synthesis combined with postcarbonization. The excellent properties of the metals such as high strength and thermal conductivity are retained, and the poor dispersion of the metal in the oil could be improved by encapsulating the metal in organic–inorganic hybrid carbon nanospheres. The vanadium and wolframium nanocrystals embedded in nitrogen-doped carbon nanospheres (V/W@NCNs) manifested remarkable oil dispersity on account of the lipophilic organic phase of the carbon shell. It is worth noting that the as-obtained V/W@NCNs display better tribological properties compared with the base oil, such as a higher extreme pressure of 1250 N, a lower friction coefficient of about 0.09, and a significant reduction in wear volume of 91.5%, which are attributed to the robust protective film that was formed on the surface of the friction pair through mechanical deposition and physical and tribochemical reaction during the friction process.

This work addresses the boundary control problem for prescribed-time stabilisation of a parabolic reaction-diffusion system (PRDS) with time delay via the backstepping-based approach and Razumikhin method. The invertible Volterra transformation is used to convert the PRDS into a suitable prescribed-time stable PRDS with time-dependent coefficient, which is related to time-dependent kernel function. The obtained kernel partial differential equations are proven to be well-posed using the successive approximation. The boundary controller is designed by solving the kernel equations to guarantee the prescribed-time stabilisation of the delayed PRDS. Finally, two numerical examples are given to testify the feasibility of the proposed methodology.

In this study, size-regulated MOFs (MZ) with high MBT loading were successfully synthesized by combining mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT), zinc salt, and 2-methylimidazole (2-MI). Subsequently, the MZ structure was utilized to encapsulate tannic acid-modified gallium-based liquid metal (GLM-TA), thereby acquiring a novel heterogeneous nanocomposite (GLM-TA@MZ). The results revealed that the as-prepared GLM-TA@MZ shows good antiwear and friction-reducing performance as an oil-based lubricant additive, the average friction coefficient was decreased to 0.091, and a wear volume was reduced to 0.95 × 104μm3, which corresponds to a decrease of 52.3 and 97.2% as compared to base oil PAO. The excellent tribological properties of GLM-TA@MZ can be attributed to physical adsorption on the friction pair, followed by tribochemical reactions. As a result, a thick friction protection film (thickness of about 100 nm) containing Ga, Zn, and S elements was formed, which effectively reduced the contact area between the friction pairs, resulting in improved tribological performance. This study provides insights into the design of MOF-based nanocomposites for lubricating applications.

During the outbreak of COVID-19, people’s reliance on social media for pandemic-related information exchange, daily communications, and online professional interactions increased because of self-isolation and lockdown implementation. Most of the published research addresses the performance of nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) and measures on the issues impacted by COVID-19, such as health, education, and public safety; however, not much is known about the interplay between social media use and travel behaviors. This study aims to determine the effect of social media on human mobility before and after the COVID-19 outbreak, and its impact on personal vehicle and public transit use in New York City (NYC). Apple mobility trends and Twitter data are used as two data sources. The results indicate that Twitter volume and mobility trend correlations are negative for both driving and transit categories in general, especially at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in NYC. A significant time lag (13 days) between the online communication rise and mobility drop can be observed, thereby providing evidence of social networks taking quicker reactions to the pandemic than the transportation system. In addition, social media and government policies had different impacts on vehicular traffic and public transit ridership during the pandemic with varied performance. This study provides insights on the complex influence of both anti-pandemic measures and user-generated content, namely social media, on people’s travel decisions during pandemics. The empirical evidence can help decision-makers formulate timely emergency responses, prepare targeted traffic intervention policies, and conduct risk management in similar outbreaks in the future.

A highly efficient heterogeneous copper(I)-catalyzed cross-coupling of trialkylsilylethynes with N-tosylhydrazones has been achieved in dioxane at 90–110 °C via the Cu carbene migratory insertion with an SBA-15-immobilized l-proline-Cu(I) complex [SBA-15-l-Proline-CuI] as the catalyst and LiOtBu as the base, leading to the formation of C(sp)–C(sp3) bonds. The reaction generates a wide variety of alkyltrialkylsilylalkynes in moderate to high yields. This new heterogenized copper(I) complex exhibits a comparable catalytic efficiency to homogeneous CuI and can be easily recovered through a simple centrifugation process and is recyclable up to 12 times without a remarkable loss of activity.

The severe damage and impacts caused by extreme events in a changing climate will not only make the sustainable development goals difficult to achieve, but also erode the hard-won development gains of the past. This article reviews the major impacts and challenges of disaster and climate change risks on sustainable development, and summarizes the courses and linkages of disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA), and sustainable development over the past 30 years. Our findings show that the conceptual development of DRR actions has gone through three general phases: disaster management in the 1990s, risk management in the 2000s, and resilient management and development in the 2010s. Gradually, CCA has been widely implemented to overcome the adverse effects of climate change. A framework is proposed for tackling climate change and disaster risks in the context of resilient, sustainable development, indicating that CCA is not a subset of DRR while they have similarities and differences in their scope and emphasis. It is crucial to transform governance mechanisms at different levels, so as to integrate CCA and DRR to reduce disaster and climate change risks, and achieve safe growth and a resilient future in the era of the Anthropocene.

The CO2emission from fossil fuels since the Industrial Revolution is associated with critical development rights driven by economic and population growth. We defined high-emission countries as major emitters whose emission contributed 80% to global emission based on descending order of national emission, and analysed their emergence, distribution dynamics and drivers, which expect to unravel the processes of their emission surges and entwined carbon inequality in history. Our results show that: 1) 31 countries formed the group of high-emission countries and hardly exit from group; 2) high-emission countries appeared in Europe first, then spread to North America, Asia and finally throughout all continents; 3) population growth and economic growth stimulated the rapid emission growth of earliest industrialised countries and several short phases after industrialisation finished, respectively. Blend impacts transformed most developing countries to high-emission countries after World War II. We also discussed glooming climate mitigation ambitions because of pervasive carbon inequity.

This paper develops a time-triggered impulsive control strategy for stabilisation problem of a class of polynomial systems. The proposed hybrid control method combines time-triggered impulsive control and state-feedback control. To obtain the control feedback gain, the matrix sum-of-squares programming is employed to solve the feasible solutions of constructed positive polynomial problems. Compared with a single time-triggered impulsive control or the pure state-feedback control, the proposed control method can effectively combine the advantages of the two control methods. In particular, the design of the controller is more flexible and the control effect is greatly improved. Finally, two simulation examples including the Chua's chaotic system are provided to illustrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

Both unpaired speech and text have shown to be beneficial for low-resource automatic speech recognition (ASR), which, however were either separately used for pre-training, self-training and language model (LM) training, or jointly used for designing hybrid models in literature. In this work, we leverage both unpaired speech and text to train a general ASR model, which are used in the form of data pairs by generating the missing parts in prior to model training. We propose to train a model alternatively using the prepared speech-PseudoLabel and SynthesizedAudio-text pairs and reveal the complementary property in both acoustic and linguistic features. The proposed method is thus called complementary joint training (CJT). Based on the basic CJT, label masking for pseudo-labels and parallel layers for synthesized audio are then proposed for re-training to further cope with the deviations from real data, termed as CJT++. In addition, the proposed CJT is extended to the scenario with zero paired data by considering an iterative CJT for the training of seed ASR model. Experimental results on Libri-light show the efficacy of joint training as well as two second-round training strategies, and the superiority over recent models is validated, particularly in extreme low-resource cases.

This study presents a nitrogen-doped microporous carbon nanospheres (N@MCNs) prepared by a facile polymerization–carbonization process using low-cost styrene. The N element in situintroduces polystyrene (PS) nanospheres via emulsion polymerization of styrene with cyanuric chloride as crosslinking agent, and then carbonization obtains N@MCNs. The as-prepared carbon nanospheres possess the complete spherical structure and adjustable nitrogen amount by controlling the relative proportion of tetrachloromethane and cyanuric chloride. The friction performance of N@MCNs as lubricating oil additives was surveyed utilizing the friction experiment of ball-disc structure. The results showed that N@MCNs exhibit superb reduction performance of friction and wear. When the addition of N@MCNs was 0.06 wt%, the friction coefficient of PAO-10 decreased from 0.188 to 0.105, and the wear volume reduced by 94.4%. The width and depth of wear marks of N@MCNs decreased by 49.2% and 94.5%, respectively. The carrying capacity of load was rocketed from 100 to 400 N concurrently. Through the analysis of the lubrication mechanism, the result manifested that the prepared N@MCNs enter clearance of the friction pair, transform the sliding friction into the mixed friction of sliding and rolling, and repair the contact surface through the repair effect. Furthermore, the tribochemical reaction between nanoparticles and friction pairs forms a protective film containing nitride and metal oxides, which can avert direct contact with the matrix and improve the tribological properties. This experiment showed that nitrogen-doped polystyrene-based carbon nanospheres prepared by in-situdoping are the promising materials for wear resistance and reducing friction. This preparing method can be ulteriorly expanded to multi-element co-permeable materials. Nitrogen and boron co-doped carbon nanospheres (B,N@MCNs) were prepared by mixed carbonization of N-enriched PS and boric acid, and exhibited high load carrying capacity and good tribological properties.

Tribochemistry can be defined as a field dealing with the chemical reactions occurring in the friction zone, capable of catalyzing mechanical and physico-chemical changes in the friction contact area, facilitating the formation of tribo-films, which is also an efficient approach to fabricate novel innovative materials. In this paper, we report the successful synthesis of the silicon oil (SO)-functionalized covalent organic frameworks (COFs) prepared via the tribochemical method when subjected to the reciprocating friction; during the friction process, the rich aldehyde-terminated COFs can bond with amino SO via the Schiff base reaction between aldehyde group and amino group to obtain the desired functionalized COFs (SO@COF-LZU1). The tribochemical reaction progress was tracked through in-situmonitoring of the friction coefficient and the operating conditions during the entire friction process. Noticeably, the friction coefficient continued to decrease until it finally stabilized as the reaction progressed, which revealed the formation of a protective tribo-film. Herein, an approximate tribochemical model was presented, wherein the reaction mechanism was investigated and analyzed by employing structural analysis techniques like magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Furthermore, the tribochemical-induced SO@COF-LZU1 exhibited remarkable tribological performance with a low friction coefficient of 0.1 and 95.5% reduction in wear volume when used as additives of 500SN base oil. The prime focus of our research was on the preparation and functionalization of COF materials via tribochemical reactions, unraveling a new avenue for the rational design and preparation of functional materials.

A palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of cyclobutenone N-tosylhadrazones with organohalides is disclosed. The protocol involves the generation of a strained allylpalladium intermediate from readily available starting materials through palladium carbene migratory insertion, which undergoes electrocyclic ring opening and β-hydride elimination for the production of conjugated enynes and enallenes. The broad substrate scope, good to excellent yields, and tunable product diversity make the protocol potentially useful in organic synthesis.

In this article we propose that all countries that are striving to become a Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) would benefit greatly from including El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO)-related research findings into their decision-making processes, not only when an El Niño or a La Niña forecast has been issued quasi-periodically. For an aspiring WRN, to benefit from ENSO information, such as disruptive or beneficial changes that could be foreseeably expected to occur in seasonal flow and in sub-seasonal hydrometeorological anomalies, requires its continuous mainstreaming about the status of the ENSO process into a WRN’s decision-making activities. The ENSO process provides a bridge between sub-seasonal weather anomalies and a sub-decadal climate phenomenon as well as a bridge between coping with weather extremes today and preparing for climate change-related hydrometeorological hazards in the future. ENSO extremes every few years provide a chance to evaluate a nation’s strategic and tactical responses to hydrometeorological hazard forecasts and disasters. Each successive ENSO extreme and its Neutral phase tests previously designed best practices. Involvement of today’s youth and young professionals on climate, water, and weather issues has been increasing and will do so in coming decades. Shifting awareness and attention to ENSO and away from ENSO extremes is crucial. The heightened urgency for understanding the full ENSO “cycle” especially by youth and young professionals today is because they will soon be in professional positions that enable them to advise decision makers about climate policy issues. Their understanding of the ENSO cycle is critically needed, as global warming is expected to continue to increase for the rest of the twenty-first century.

Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women worldwide, and major challenges in its treatment include drug resistance and metastasis. Three-dimensional cell culture systems have received widespread attention in drug discovery studies but existing models have limitations, that warrant the development of a simple and repeatable three-dimensional culture model for high-throughput screening. In this study, we designed a simple, reproducible, and highly efficient microencapsulated device to co-culture MCF-7 cells and HUVECs in microcapsules to establish an in vitrovascularized micro-tumor model for chemotherapeutic drug screening. First, to construct a three-dimensional micro-tumor model, cell encapsulation devices were created using three different sizes of flat-mouthed needles. Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assays were conducted to determine vascular lumen formation. Cell proliferation was detected using the Cell Counting Kit-8 assay. Finally, to observe the drug reactions between the models, anticancer drugs (doxorubicin or paclitaxel) were added 12 h after the two-dimensional cultured cells were plated or 7 days after cell growth in the core-shell microcapsules. Vascularized micro-tumors were obtained after 14 days of three-dimensional culture. The proliferation rate in the three-dimensional cultured cells was slower than that of two-dimensional cultured cells. Three-dimensional cultured cells were more resistant to anticancer drugs than two-dimensional cultured cells. This novel sample encapsulation device formed core-shell microcapsules and can be used to successfully construct 3D vascularized micro-tumors in vitro. The three-dimensional culture model may provide a platform for drug screening and is valuable for studying tumor development and angiogenesis.

Repairing larger defects (>5 mm) in peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) remains a significant challenge when using traditional artificial nerve guidance conduits (NGCs). A novel approach that combines 4D printing technology with poly(L‐lactide‐co‐trimethylene carbonate) (PLATMC) and Ti3C2TxMXene nanosheets is proposed, thereby imparting shape memory properties to the NGCs. Upon body temperature activation, the printed sheet‐like structure can quickly self‐roll into a conduit‐like structure, enabling optimal wrapping around nerve stumps. This design enhances nerve fixation and simplifies surgical procedures. Moreover, the integration of microchannel expertly crafted through 4D printing, along with the incorporation of MXene nanosheets, introduces electrical conductivity. This feature facilitates the guided and directional migration of nerve cells, rapidly accelerating the healing of the PNI. By leveraging these advanced technologies, the developed NGCs demonstrate remarkable potential in promoting peripheral nerve regeneration, leading to substantial improvements in muscle morphology and restored sciatic nerve function, comparable to outcomes achieved through autogenous nerve transplantation. A 4D printed artificial nerve guide conduit can self‐curl and wrap the damaged nerve at body temperature after operation, the addition of MXene greatly improves the electrical conductivity and enhances vascularization, and the design of internal microchannels accelerates the directed migration of nerve cells; ultimately, promoting nerve regeneration after the large‐sized peripheral nerves injury.

• Ionic liquid of BMIMPF 6 is utilized for the first time as dual bulk and interface modifier for fabricating inorganic perovskite solar cells in ambient air. • The proposed strategy enables effective protection of CsPbI 3 perovskite structure and enhancement of charge carrier transport/extraction. • Dramatically improved efficiency and stability of ambient-processed inverted CsPbI 3 perovskite solar cells are achieved. All-inorganic cesium lead iodide (CsPbI 3) perovskites with superior thermal stability are attractive candidates for perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Fabricating such inorganic PSCs in the ambient atmosphere is desirable for practical production, however, the challenge remains in inhibiting the phase transition of CsPbI 3 in ambient air. Herein, we demonstrate a dual bulk and interface engineering using ionic liquid to stabilize CsPbI 3 perovskite structure, thus enhancing the performance of ambient-processed inverted CsPbI 3 PSCs. Such dual bulk and interface engineering is found effective not only in suppressing the bulk and interfacial charge carrier recombination and enhancing charge carrier transport and extraction, but also in protecting CsPbI 3 crystal structure by leaving hydrophobic alkyl chains coverage at the boundary and surface to prevent phase transition caused by moisture from ambient air. The optimized device fully processed in the open air with relative humidity up to 55% exhibits remarkably enhanced efficiency and stability over the control device, with the efficiency increasing from 8.6% to 13.21%, and 92% efficiency maintaining after storage for 1680 h, which outperforms the control device with only 82% retaining after 648 h storage. We thus believe this work can provide an efficient alternative for the low-cost fabrication of ambient-processible PSCs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
