The spread of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria is a significant concern, as it can lead to increased morbidity and mortality in both humans and animals. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) is a powerful tool that can be used to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the genetic basis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We compared the phenotypic and genotypic AMR profiles of 97 Salmonella isolates derived from chicken and turkey diagnostic samples. We focused AMR analysis on 5 antimicrobial classes: aminoglycoside, beta-lactam, phenicol, tetracycline, and trimethoprim. The overall sensitivity and specificity of WGS in predicting phenotypic antimicrobial resistance in the Salmonella isolates were 93.4% and 99.8%, respectively. There were 16 disagreement instances, including 15 that were phenotypically resistant but genotypically susceptible; the other instance involved phenotypic susceptibility but genotypic resistance. Of the isolates examined, 67 of 97 (69%) carried at least 1 resistance gene, with 1 isolate carrying as many as 12 resistance genes. Of the 31 AMR genes analyzed, 16 were identified as aminoglycoside-resistance genes, followed by 4 beta-lactam–resistance, 3 tetracycline-resistance, 2 sulfonamide-resistance, and 1 each of fosfomycin-, quinolone-, phenicol-, trimethoprim-, bleomycin-, and colistin-resistance genes. In the present study, various groove casing treatments were evaluated under a high-speed subsonic axial flow compressor using experimental and numerical simulation methods. The aim of this study was to explore the effect of inclination of grooves on compressor stability and performance. The potential flow mechanisms were also evaluated. Three different inclination grooves were designed in this study: grooves with no inclination, grooves with 30 degrees upstream inclination and grooves with 30 degrees downstream inclination. Similar effect of the grooves on the compressor stability and efficiency was observed under experimental and numerical analyses. The grooves with no inclination, 30 degrees upstream inclination and 30 degrees downstream inclination enhanced stall margin by 6.08%, 8.74% and 3.03%, respectively. The peak efficiency losses of the three types of grooves were 1.62%, 0.94% and 2.33%, respectively. Tip flow field analyses demonstrated that the radial transport effect caused by grooves effectively reduced tip loads and alleviated tip blockage. This explains why the grooves enhanced the compressor stability. The radial transport effect was enhanced, and a larger stall margin improvement was obtained when grooves inclined upstream were applied. The tip flow loss was the dominant loss observed after grooves were applied on the compressor. The grooves with upstream inclination markedly reduced the tip flow loss, indicating that they exhibited the lowest effect on reducing compressor efficiency compared with the other types of grooves. OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect of polyethylene glycol loxenatide (long-acting GLP-1R agonist) on the lipid, glucose levels, and weight in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with obesity. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A total of 40 obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in our hospital from July 2019 to June 2020 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group. The study group was treated with metformin and polyethylene glycol loxenatide injection, while the control group was treated with metformin. RESULTS: Before treatment, there was no significant difference in FPG (Fasting Blood Glucose) and PPG (Post Prandial Glycaemia) levels between the study group and the control group (p>0.05). After a treatment period, the FPG and PPG levels in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group (p<0.05). With the longer treatment time, the patient's weight and BMI were lower (p<0.05). The weight and BMI of patients changed the least after one month of treatment, and the weight and BMI changed the most after more than seven months of treatment. After a period of treatment, the levels of FPG and PPG in the blood of male patients in the study group were significantly lower than those of female patients (p<0.05). After treatment, the TG level of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group (p<0.05). In comparison, the HDL-C level was significantly higher than that of the control group (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Lipid and glucose levels of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with obesity have decreased after 12 weeks of polyethylene glycol loxanatide use. The weight of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with obesity has changed after using polyethylene glycol loxenatide for a period of treatment. Among them, there is a certain relationship between body weight and treatment time, gender, and original body weight, which is worthy of further research and promotion in clinical practice. Spatial deviations of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) after oncological mandibular reconstruction are important to the aesthetic and functional rehabilitation. The aim of this study was to clarify whether and how three dimensionally (3D) printed patient-specific surgical plates, and the preservation of the condyle or ramus, affect spatial deviations of the TMJ. A total of 33 patients who underwent mandibular reconstruction via computer-assisted surgery were included. Regarding absolute deviations, patients in the 3D-printed plate group showed smaller TMJ deviations compared to those in the conventional plate group. There was no difference in absolute deviations of the TMJ regardless of whether the condyle or ramus was preserved. Regarding physiological deviations, the impact on the contralateral TMJ was smaller in the 3D-printed plate group. Patients with both the condyle and ramus removed had significantly higher deviations of the condyle and joint space. In summary, 3D-printed patient-specific surgical plates improved the spatial accuracy of the TMJ. Under physiological conditions, TMJ deviations on the operated side were mainly affected by the preservation of the condyle. OBJECTIVE: Through 16S rDNA technology, we aimed at separating adults aging 20-50 years old into a few groups and processing the high-throughput sequencing analysis, in order to explore the features and differences of intestinal flora in each age group in a microcosmic perspective. PATIENTS AND METHODS: 120 stool specimens were collected strictly in accordance with acceptance criteria and exclusion criteria. 49 subjects aging 20-29 years old (Group AGE1), 51 subjects aging 30-39 years old (Group AGE2), and 20 subjects aging 40-49 years old (Group AGE3) were divided into 3 groups. Bacteria DNA from fresh stool specimens of 3 groups were abstracted. Illumina MiSeq high-throughput sequencing platform was applied to process 16S rDNA sequencing in Area 338F_806R for intestinal flora detection. I-Sanger Bio-cloud platform was applied for the analysis of intestinal flora structure changes in phylum level and genus level. RESULTS: Among the age of 20-50, with older age, the abundance of intestinal flora decreased among healthy adults more than 40 years old. In addition, the diversity and sample dispersion of intestinal flora is significantly different from people among 20-40 years old. The decrease ratio of Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes indicated that as the age grows, glucose tolerance might decrease. Comparing with people among 20-40 years old, the amount of Bifidobacterium and Eubacterium in people over 40 years old have significantly decreased. The decrease of Bifidobacterium and Eubacterium may increase the risks of cognitive impairment and lower the anti-inflammation and anti-cancer efficacy in human body, respectively. Subdoligranulum relates to poor metabolism and chronic inflammation and it happens more in people aged over 40 than young people who are among 20- 40 years old. CONCLUSIONS: There are differences in the intestinal flora of healthy adults aged 20-50. Effective intervention of the intestinal flora may play a role in delaying aging and preventing diseases. Preoperative staging is essential for the planning of treatment of cancer. This study was designed to evaluate the accuracy of computed tomography (CT) in predicting the local stage of tongue cancer by comparing it with the gold standard of histopathology. A total of 233 patients with newly-diagnosed tongue cancer was retrospectively reviewed, and the size of the tumour and the status of the cervical lymph node were compared between CT images and histopathological results. Patients with stage II cancer were followed up to assess the influence of inaccurate preoperative staging on prognosis. The accuracy of local staging by CT was 47.6% (111/233), with 59.7% (139/233) for tumour stage, and 70.4% (164/233) for nodal stage. The greatest dimension of the tumour on the CT image was about 2 mm less than that measured by histopathology. The estimated volume of tumour was a quarter smaller. The accuracy of predicting malignant lymph nodes by CT was 68.9% (n = 161). Among patients with stage II disease, simultaneous neck dissection was less likely in the understaged group than in the accurately staged one. The reoperation rate was a little higher but not significantly so. We conclude that the accuracy of CT in predicting local staging for tongue cancer was only moderate, because it underestimated the size of the tumour and needed to improve the criteria for detecting malignant lymph nodes. OBJECTIVE: Neuroblastoma (NB) is a type of extracranial solid tumor that usually occurs in children. Drug resistance has become a major obstacle in NB chemotherapy. Long non-coding RNA small nucleolar RNA host gene 7 (SNHG7) is an oncogene in many cancers, including NB. This study aimed to investigate the role of SNHG7 in cisplatin sensitivity of NB and the underlying mechanism. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was used to detect cell viability, and the IC50 of cisplatin was calculated. The protein levels of autophagy markers were measured by Western blot assay. The levels of SNHG7, miR-329-3p and myosin X (MYO10) were examined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) or Western blot assay. The interaction among SNHG7, miR-329-3p and MYO10 was confirmed by Dual-Luciferase reporter assay. RESULTS: Cisplatin curbed the viability of NB cells in a dose-dependent manner and facilitated autophagy in NB cells. Silencing of SNHG7 reduced cisplatin resistance and suppressed cisplatin-induced autophagy. SNHG7 was a sponge of miR-329-3p and modulated chemosensitivity and autophagy by regulating miR-329-3p. In addition, SNHG7 upregulated MYO10 by sponging miR-329-3p. MYO10 restored the effect of miR-329-3p on cisplatin sensitivity and autophagy. Moreover, suppression of autophagy blocked SNHG7-induced cisplatin resistance. CONCLUSIONS: Depletion of SNHG7 potentiated cisplatin sensitivity through inhibition of autophagy by modulating miR-329-3p/MYO10 axis, providing a new therapeutic approach to overcome cisplatin resistance in NB chemotherapy. OBJECTIVE: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the primary complications of diabetes. Long non-coding RNA cancer susceptibility candidate 2 (CASC2) has been established to function in DN, while its role in high glucose (HG)-induced human mesangial cells (HMCs) remains limited. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The expression level of CASC2 and miR-133b was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Cell proliferation was assessed using cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay. Extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation was monitored through the expression levels of collagen IV (Col IV) and fibronectin (FN) using qRT-PCR and western blot analyses. Oxidative stress was observed through the expression of NADPH oxidase2 (NOX2) and the activity of malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) using western blot or corresponding detection kit. The expression of forkhead box P1 (FOXP1) at mRNA and protein levels was determined by qRT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. The relationship between miR-133b and CASC2 or FOXP1 was predicted by online bioinformatics tools and verified by dual-luciferase reporter assay or RNA pull-down. RESULTS: The expression of CASC2 was reduced in serum from DN patients and HG-induced HMCs. CASC2 upregulation inhibited HG-induced HMCs proliferation, ECM accumulation and oxidative stress. MiR-133b was a target of CASC2 with a high level in serum from DN patients and HG-induced HMCs, and its enrichment reversed the effects of CASC2 upregulation. Besides, FOXP1 was a target of miR-133b with a low level in HG-induced HMCs, and its knockdown abolished the impacts of CASC2 upregulation. CONCLUSIONS: CASC2 upregulation suppressed HG-induced proliferation, ECM accumulation and oxidative stress of HMCs through miR-133b/FOXP1 regulatory axis, suggesting that CASC2 was a novel biomarker for DN treatment. Three-dimensionally (3D) printed patient-specific surgical plates have been proposed to facilitate mandibular reconstruction and are attracting extensive attention. We have recently reported the high accuracy of 3D-printed patient-specific surgical plates used in head and neck reconstruction. Based on this previous work, the current study proposes a novel 'surgeon-dominated' approach to the design of 3D-printed patient-specific surgical plates. The aim of this proof-of-concept study was to explore the workflow and technical procedures of the surgeon-dominated approach. The workflow includes virtual surgery, the design and printing of patient-specific surgical devices, and real surgery. The prototype of the patient-specific surgical plate was designed by surgeons and further optimized for 3D printing by engineers. Different types of mandibular defect were tested to confirm the wide applicability of this approach. Cases in which this approach was used were reviewed and the duration of time spent on each case studied. Based on a total of 16 patients, the time spent on virtual surgery and plate design was 18.83 ± 13.19 hours, and the time taken for 3D printing, post-processing, and product delivery was 162.9 ± 55.15 hours. Therefore, this novel surgeon-dominated approach is feasible and time-saving, which would likely promote the wide application of patient-specific surgical plates and lead to a new era of 'digitization and precision' in mandibular reconstruction. OBJECTIVE: The pathogenesis of diabetes is closely related to islet β-cell dysfunction. Lnc-NTF3-5 participates in the occurrence and development of various diseases. However, Lnc-NTF3-54's effect on islet β-cell dysfunction in high glucose environment remains unclear. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The islet β cell MIN6 cells were cultured in vitro and randomly divided into control group, high glucose group, NTF3-5 siRNA group, and NTF3-5 group, which was respectively transfected with Lnc-NTF3-5 siRNA and Lnc-NTF3-5 plasmid under high glucose condition. Lnc-NTF3-5 expression was measured by real time PCR and cell proliferation was assessed by MTT assay. In addition, Caspase 3 activity, SOD activity, and ROS content were also detected along with the secretion of IL-10 and IL-1 by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RESULTS: Compared with control group, Lnc- NTF3-5 expression in MIN6 cells was significantly increased in high glucose environment (p<0.05). In high glucose environment, Lnc- NTF3-5 plasmid transfection up-regulated Lnc- NTF3-5 expression, inhibited cell proliferation, increased Caspase 3 activity, and decreased SOD activity. Meanwhile, Lnc-NTF3-5 plasmid also increased ROS content and IL-1 level, and decreased IL-10 level and insulin secretion. Compared with high glucose group, the differences were statistically significant (p<0.05). However, transfection of Lnc-NTF3-5 siRNA down-regulated Lnc-NTF3-5 expression under high glucose environment and reversed the above changes. Compared with high glucose group, the differences were statistically significant (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Lnc-NTF3-5 expression is increased in high glucose environment. OBJECTIVE: The incidence and disability rate of spinal tuberculosis is high. The role of the expression of lncRNA SNHG15 in spinal tuberculosis and related mechanisms remains unclear. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Spinal tuberculosis and normal control tissues were collected, and lncRNA SNHG15 level was analyzed by real-time PCR. Mouse RAW264.7 cells were cultured and divided into control group, tuberculin (PPD) group, si-SNHG15, and PPD+ si-SNHG15 group followed by analysis of lncRNA SNHG15 level, cell proliferation by MTT assay, formation of osteoclasts by TRAP staining, levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) by ELISA, as well as expression of RANK and RANKL by Western blot. RESULTS: The lncRNA SNHG15 expression in spinal tuberculosis tissues was significantly increased compared with that in the control group (p < 0.05). The expression of lncRNA SNHG15 was increased in RAW264.7 cells in the PPD group with increased cell proliferation, TRAP-positive cells, IL-6 and TNF-α secretion, as well as elevated RANK and RANKL expression which were statistically different compared with the control group (p < 0.05). Transfection of lncRNA SNHG15 siRNA in the PPD model significantly inhibited the expression of lncRNA SNHG15, decreased cell proliferation, TRAP staining positive cells, IL-6 and TNF-α secretion, as well as reduced RANK and RANKL expression. Compared with the PPD group, the differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The expression of lncRNA SNHG15 was significantly increased in spinal tuberculosis tissues. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the regulatory effects of simvastatin on the inflammation and oxidative stress in rats with cerebral hemorrhage through the nuclear factor E2-related factor 2-antioxidant response element (Nrf2-ARE) signaling pathway. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 120 healthy male rats weighing 280-300 g and 7-8 weeks old were selected to establish the traumatic brain injury (TBI) model. Rats were divided into group A (trauma operation, n=30), group B (no treatment, n=30), group C (drug administration after trauma operation, n=30), and group D (no trauma operation, drug administration, n=30). Cerebral edema content in brain tissues was measured by calculating the dry and wet weight. Neurological dysfunction was scored using the Garcia method. Positive levels of the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) were qualitatively analyzed via immunohistochemistry. Protein levels of TLR4 and IL-1β were quantitatively analyzed via Western blotting. Moreover, the brain injury volume and neuronal apoptosis were evaluated via Nissl staining and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) staining, respectively. At 48 h after injury, activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), reduced glutathione (GSH), and oxidized glutathione (GSSG) in brain tissues were detected, and levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and nitric oxide (NO) were detected using the enzyme activity assay kits. Finally, relative levels of the Nrf2-ARE signaling pathway and its downstream molecules heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and NAD (P) H dehydrogenase, quinone 1 (NQO1) were detected via reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blotting. RESULTS: Compared with those in group B, cerebral edema content in brain tissues significantly increased (p<0.05), the neurological dysfunction score significantly declined (p<0.05), and protein levels of TLR4 and IL-1β were significantly upregulated in group A (p<0.05). In group C, relative levels of TLR4 and IL-1β were down-regulated, cerebral edema content decreased, and the neurological dysfunction score significantly increased (p<0.05). After 48 h, activities of SOD, reduced GSH and GSSG and levels of MDA and NO all increased, and levels of MDA and NO declined in group C (p<0.05). Western blotting and RT-PCR showed that simvastatin could increase the transcriptional level of Nrf2. After simvastatin intervention, expression levels of downstream molecules HO-1 and NQO1 were upregulated. CONCLUSIONS: Simvastatin alleviates TLR4-mediated inflammatory injury, promotes neurological recovery and resists oxidative stress through the Nrf2-ARE signaling pathway, thus exerting a neuroprotective effect in TBI. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of micro-ribonucleic acid (miR)-130a on neuronal injury in rats with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) through the phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten/phosphatidylinositol 3-hydroxy kinase/protein kinase B (PTEN/PI3K/AKT) signaling pathway. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 30 healthy male rats were randomly divided into three groups, including the blank control group, ICH model group (ICH group) and ICH model + miR-130a treatment group (miR-130a treatment group). The differences in neurological injury, the number of apoptotic cells in brain tissues, the activity of Caspase-9 and protein expressions of PTEN/PI3K/AKT were analyzed among the three groups, respectively. RESULTS: Neurological function was normal without injury in the control group. However, the neurological injury was severe in the ICH group and mild in the miR-130a treatment group. There were statistically significant differences in neurological function in the control group relative to those of the ICH group and miR-130a treatment group (p<0.05). Meanwhile, the neurological injury was markedly milder in the miR-130a treatment group than that of the ICH group, showing a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). The number of apoptotic cells was remarkably smaller in the control group when compared with the ICH group and miR-130a treatment group. However, it was markedly larger in the ICH group than that of the miR-130a treatment group, showing significant differences (p<0.05). The activity of Caspase-9 was significantly lower in the control group than ICH group and miR-130a treatment group (p<0.05). However, it increased remarkably in the ICH group compared with that of the miR-130a treatment group (p<0.05). Moreover, the protein level of PTEN in the ICH group was significantly higher than control group and miR-130a treatment group, displaying statistically significant differences (p<0.05). However, no marked difference in the protein level of PTEN was observed between the control group and miR-130a treatment group (p>0.05). The protein levels of the phosphorylated 3-hydroxy kinase (p-PI3K) and phosphorylated protein kinase B (p-AKT) were remarkably lower in the ICH group than those of the control group and miR-130a treatment group, displaying statistically significant differences (p<0.05). However, they were remarkably higher in the miR-130a treatment group than that of the control group (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: MiR-130a promotes neuronal growth in brain tissues in ICH rats and alleviates neuronal injury after ICH through the PTEN/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. OBJECTIVE: To clarify the influence of microRNA-93-5p (miRNA-93-5p) on biological behaviors of gastric cancer (GC) cells and its regulatory effect on Hippo pathway. MATERIALS AND METHODS: SGC-7901 and HGC-27 cells were used for establishing miRNA-93-5p overexpression and downregulation model through transfection of miRNA-93-5p mimics or inhibitor, respectively. Relative levels of genes in Hippo pathway were determined in GC cells transfected with miRNA-93-5p mimics or inhibitor by quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Regulatory effects of miRNA-93-5p on proliferative, migratory and invasive abilities of GC cells were evaluated by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), colony formation and transwell assay, respectively. RESULTS: MiRNA-93-5p was markedly upregulated by transfection of miRNA-93-5p mimics into SGC-7901 cells, which was downregulated by transfection of miRNA-93-5p inhibitor into HGC-27 cells. Overexpression of miRNA-93-5p accelerated GC cells to proliferate, migrate and invade. Meanwhile, miRNA-93-5p overexpression in GC cells upregulated downstream genes in Hippo pathway, including CDX2, FOXM1 and CTGF. CONCLUSIONS: MiRNA-93-5p enhances proliferative, migratory and invasive abilities of GC cells by activating Hippo pathway, which may serve as a diagnostic and therapeutic target for GC. A special target structure for erbium (Er)-zirconium (Zr) co-deposition is proposed, based on the hollow cathode effect. To study the effect of rare earth on the alloyed layer, Zr-Er alloyed layers with different quantity proportion of Er and Zr elements were prepared on Ti-based substrate using double glow plasma surface alloying. The microstructure and composition of the alloyed layers were analysed by XRD and SEM-EDS. Results showed that Er element grows perpendicular to the Ti-based substrate in the alloyed layers, and it was found that the growth structure had an opposite effect on the diffusion of the Zr element. Interestingly, as the concentration of Er element increases, the addition of Er element to a certain extent affects the crystallisation of the Zr-Er alloyed layer and reduces the diffusivity of the Zr element. OBJECTIVE: Our study aims to explore whether microRNA-940 could participate in early abortion by inhibiting placenta implantation and its underlying mechanism. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Expressions of microRNA-940 and ZNF672 in the placental villi of 6 early abortion pregnancies and 6 normal pregnancies were detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). Expressions of microRNA-940 and ZNF672 in trophoblast cells (BeWo, JEG3, Wish and HTR-8) were also detected. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was performed to detect the effect of microRNA- 940 on the proliferation of trophoblast cells after being transfected with microRNA-940 inhibitor or mimics, respectively. Dual-Luciferase reporter gene assay and RNA binding protein immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay were conducted to demonstrate the binding condition of microRNA-940 to ZNF672. RESULTS: MicroRNA-940 was highly expressed in placental villi of early abortion pregnancies, whereas ZNF672 was lowly expressed. HTR-8 cells expressed the highest level and Be- Wo cells expressed the lowest level of microRNA- 940. After transfection of microRNA-940 inhibitor in HTR-8 cells, the proliferative capacity was remarkably increased. On the contrary, the transfection of microRNA-940 mimic downregulated the proliferation of BeWo cells. Dual-Luciferase reporter gene assay demonstrated that microRNA- 940 targets ZNF672. RIP results further indicated that microRNA-940 binds to ZNF672. CONCLUSIONS: MicroRNA-940 is highly expressed in the placental villi of early abortion pregnancies and promotes the occurrence of early abortion by inhibiting the proliferation of trophoblast cells by targeting ZNF672. OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether lncRNA H19 can regulate NF1 expression through competitive binding to microRNA- 107, thereby participating in the occurrence and development of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). PATIENTS AND METHODS: Expression levels of H19 and NF1 in NSCLC tissues, paracancerous tissues and NSCLC cell lines were detected by quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The binding condition of microRNA-107, H19 and NF1 was detected by dual-luciferase reporter gene assay. Corresponding lentiviruses of H19 were constructed. The regulatory effects of H19 on proliferative and migratory abilities of A549 cells were detected by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and transwell assay, respectively. Rescue experiments were conducted to explore the regulatory interaction between H19 and microRNA-107 in A549 cells. RESULTS: H19 and NF1 were highly expressed in NSCLC tissues and NSCLC cell lines (A549 and HCC823) than those of controls. Overexpressed H19 increased proliferative and migratory abilities of A549 cells. Dual-luciferase reporter gene assay demonstrated that H19 regulates NF1 expression through competitive binding to microRNA-107, thereafter participating in NSCLC development. A compound coating with MgF2 layer in the inner region and flaky Brushite (DCPD) crystal layer in the outer region was prepared on AZ31 alloy to improve the corrosion resistance and osteoconduction of magnesium alloys in simulated body fluids. Hydrogen evolution test and potentiodynamic electrochemical technique were employed to investigate the corrosion behaviour of the coated alloys in Hank's solution. The obvious decrease in corrosion current density and hydrogen evolution rates indicate that both MgF2 layer and DCPD/MgF2 compound coating could enhance the corrosion resistance of the substrate. DCPD on MgF2 layer increases the Ecorr and Ebk of the MgF2 coated sample and decreases the corrosion current density. Moreover, the hydrogen volume of the DCPD/MgF2 coated sample is much less than that of the MgF2 coated sample in the first week's immersion, which indicates that DCPD can delay the degradation of MgF2 and postpone the corrosion of AZ31 alloy in Hank's solution.
