Timosaponin B-II (TB-II; (25S)-26-(β-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-3β-[(2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-β-D-galactopyranosyl) oxy]-5β-furostan-22-ol is extracted fromAnemarrhena. Its anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, and anti-asthma properties have been widely explored. However, its effect on the heart has not been reported. In this study, we used zebrafish as a research model to determine the effects of TB-II on the heart and its toxic and anti-inflammatory effects. To explore the cause of cardioprotective effects of TB-II, we used transgenic zebrafish with macrophages and neutrophils labeled with fluorescent protein. We found for the first time that TB-II had a protective effect on the zebrafish heart. It did not affect the survival and hatching rates of zebrafish embryos, indicating its low toxicity. Results showed that TB-II may have cardioprotective effects, which might be related to its anti-inflammatory effects.

In the industrialized production of mushrooms usually only one flush of fruitbody is harvested, so that nutrients and energy in the substrate is not fully exploited. In this study, the spent Pleurotus eryngiisubstrate was recycled for the cultivation of Agrocybe chaxinguunder ambient temperature. Six formulae were tested: (1) Control: 98% spent substrate, 1% sucrose, 1% lime; (2) Control + 10% wheat bran; (3) Control + 20% wheat bran; (4) Control + 10% T. molitorfeces; (5) Control + 20% T. molitorfeces; (6) Control + 10% wheat bran + 10% T. molitorfeces. Two flushes of fruitbody were harvested, the control substrate resulted in a biological efficiency of 40.42%; the formulae with supplementation of 10% wheat bran, 20% wheat bran and 10% T. molitorfeces significantly increased biological efficiency to 52.50, 54.61 and 51.56%, respectively, and supplementation of 20% T. molitorfeces, or 10% wheat bran plus 10% feces further significantly increased biological efficiency to 62.95 and 61.10%, respectively. All supplemented substrates had significantly higher cellulose and laccase activity than the Control (cellulase 0.10 U/g; laccase 41.00 U/g), which were 10% wheat bran (0.15 U/g; 72.67 U/g), 10% T. molitorfeces (0.17 U/g; 98.33 U/g), 20% wheat bran (0.22 U/g; 76.00 U/g), 20% T. molitorfeces (0.27 U/g; 87.00 U/g), 10% wheat bran plus 10% T. molitorfeces (0.25 U/g; 97.67 U/g), respectively. Spent Pleurotus eryngiisubstrate was promising for cultivation of Agrocybe chaxingu, especially when supplemented with 20% T. molitorfeces, or with 10% T. molitorfeces plus 10% wheat bran.

Phospholipids are one of important factors in inflammation development. To discover relationship of inflammation and phospholipids, we carried out the bioinformatics study on relationship of inflammation and phospholipids by Cytoscape software with Agilent Literature Search and ClusterONE plugins loaded. We found 7 predominant network pathway which could explain the relationship of inflammation and phospholipids. The Cytoscape software with Agilent Literature Search and ClusterONE plugins is very powerful tool for discover potential pathways to explain Pathophysiology mechanism.

Aiming at the problem that the asphalt pavement is prone to early crack and reduces its service life, the response of transverse and longitudinal surface vertical cracks under moving loads is studied based on fracture mechanics theory. By means of 3D numerical simulation with the general finite element software package ABAQUS, the change law of stress intensity factor kⅡ of transverse and longitudinal surface crack under moving vehicle load are deeply analyzed and some conclusions are drawn, which contribute to further research on the propagation behavior of asphalt pavement surface crack in service condition, and will provide some guidance for the maintenance and rehabilitation of asphalt pavement.
