As the successor to Sunway TaihuLight, the new Sunway supercomputer has ultra-high computing capacity, but the unique heterogeneous architecture presents performance optimization challenges for High Performance Computing (HPC) applications. Performance modeling is an effective way to discover the performance bottlenecks and then improve the performance of HPC applications. Existing performance modeling techniques do not work well on large-scale HPC applications due to high overhead and low accuracy, and are not suitable for the heterogeneous architecture due to a lack of support for multi-resource parameters. To address the above challenges, we propose an automatic multi-parameter performance modeling method for HPC applications on the new Sunway supercomputer. First, a lightweight performance profiling method is proposed to achieve low overhead performance profiling. Then, performance models with multiple resource parameters based on the Fourier neural operator are built, achieving high prediction accuracy and generalization ability. Finally, the Fourier neural operator is extended on the new Sunway supercomputer to realize the performance modeling automatically. Experimental results show that the average prediction error is less than 10% and the average overhead is less than 4%, and the results are superior to the baselines.

By immobilizing the chiral center l-histidine (l-His) into a Zr-based metal–organic framework (MOF) through post-synthetic ligand exchange, a chiral compound MOF-His has been prepared. On this basis, MOF-His is hybridized with Eu3+ions to obtain the final responsive compound Eu@MOF-His. It is worth noting that the bifunctional material exhibits enantioselective luminescence properties for tryptophan enantiomers. The experimental results demonstrate that tryptophan enantiomers can effectively quench the red-light emission of Eu3+ions, and also, the quenching rates are various, which may originate from the differences in the interaction between analytes and chiral recognition sites. In addition, Eu@MOF-His can realize the sensing of tryptophan enantiomers in serum. Concurrently, the compound possesses reusability, high sensitivity, and fast response speed, which means that it has the potential to serve as an excellent fluorescent sensor for detecting and identifying tryptophan enantiomers.

To assess the outcome of patients with cancer-related sepsis requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in a single-center pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).

The characteristics of elements in fine particulate matter (PM$$_{2.5}$$ 2.5 ) emitted during indoor coal combustion in Xuanwei were investigated. Lead (Pb) emissions were high among the trace elements at all sampling locations. The average Pb concentrations in “Laibin” samples were $$\sim $$ ∼ 1.5 time higher than “non-Laibin” samples and were statistically significantly difference (paired ttest). Concentration ratios normalized to total suspended particles for the elements were also characterized and compared between the two types of locations. Element ratio (Se/S) values were different with another study, suggesting possible different composition characteristics of the samples in Xuanwei compared with other regions in China. These findings provide information about concentrations of elements in different types of coal samples emission during household coal combustion. There is a need to address the health effects of environmentally relevant doses of elements in fine particulate matter, considering life-long exposure of people in indoor dwellings.

Five novel coordination polymers, [(Cu(L1)2OH)·Cl·3H2O] (1) [L1= bis(N‐imidazolyl)methane], [Cd(L1)2(NCS)2] (2), [Zn(L1)2(NCS)2] (3), [Cu(L1)2(NO3)2] (4), and [Cu(L2)1.5(NCS)2] (5) [L2= 1,4‐bis(N‐imidazolyl)butane] were obtained from self‐assembly of the corresponding metal salts with flexible ligands and their structures were fully characterized by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared (FT‐IR) spectroscopy, elemental analysis and thermogravimetric (TGA) measurements. X‐ray diffraction analyses revealed that complexes 1, 2, 3, and 4exhibit 1D double‐stranded chain structures, which result from doubly bridged [CuOH], [M(NCS)2] (M= Cd, Zn), and [Cu(NO3)2] units, respectively. The polymeric copper complex 5displays 1D ladder structure., These complexes, with the exception of complex 1, are stable up to 300 °C.
