The article discusses the process and outcomes of the nonclinical informatics workgroup during the Computational Science Symposium, co-hosted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in 2012. The event brought stakeholders from the pharmaceutical industry and government to collaborate on solving common needs and challenges. The Working Group 6 addressed nonclinical data needs through issue identification, issue prioritization and framework creation for project teams.
