Modified Gravity Theories (MGTs) are extensions of General Relativity (GR) in its standard formulation. In light of this premise, we employ Heisenberg's non-perturbative approach to promote the three-dimensional Einstein-Hilbert theory to a modified $f(R)$ gravity. Within this context, we investigate a cosmological system composed of a black hole (BH) surrounded by Maxwell-Higgs vortices, forming the BH-vortex system. In the case of linear $f(R)$ gravity derived from quantum metric fluctuations, one shows the existence of a three-dimensional ring-like BH-vortex system with quantized magnetic flux. Within this system, one notes the BH at $r=0$ and its event horizon at $r= r_0$, while the magnetic vortices are at $r\in (r_0, \infty)$. A remarkable result is the constancy of the Bekenstein-Hawking temperature ($T_H$), regardless of MGTs and vortex parameters. This invariance of $T_H$ suggests that the BH-vortex system reaches thermodynamic stability. Unlike the standard theory of Maxwell-Higgs vortices in flat spacetime, in $f(R)$ gravity, the vortices suffer the influence of the BH's event horizon. Examining the $\phi^{4}$ and $\phi^{8}$ models within a two-dimensional framework in the flat spacetime and embracing a theory with unconventional kinetic terms, one investigates the emergence of kinks/antikinks and double-kinks/antikinks. Revisiting Einstein's gravitational theory, we build a five-dimensional braneworld. Within this framework, one announces the appearance of symmetric and asymmetric domain walls. Furthermore, it examines the emergent four-dimensional gravity from a theory with non-canonical dynamics. Exploring the physical and mathematical aspects, e.g., brane's energy density and the Kaluza-Klein (KK) spectrum, one verifies that brane splitting is absent in the canonical and non-canonical theories. Revisiting the issue associated with Position-Dependent Mass (PDM), we reaffirm that the appropriate framework for addressing a generic PDM is the symmetrization proposed by BenDaniel and Duke. To accomplish this result adopts the effective mass Hamiltonian proposed by von Roos, corrected by a symmetrized kinematic term. After verifying the appropriate ordering to approach the PDM issue, one investigates a crystalline lattice with a defect described by a singular PDM. The singular mass profile proves intriguing as it yields an atom's cluster in the neighborhood of the singularity. We study a generalized $\phi^4$ model that gives rise to BPS kink/antikink configurations with compacton-like profiles. One observes that the positive parameter controlling the generalizing function promotes an infinity degenerescence of the BPS solutions. We then use the Differential Configurational Complexity technique to distinguish the degenerate configurations, which allows us to obtain the parameter values providing the most likely field profiles. Besides, the analysis of the excitation spectrum of the model shows the existence of translational and vibrational modes. Considering the relativistic scenario, we dedicate our study to the relativistic quantum description of one-dimensional Majorana fermions. Thus, we focus on aspects related to exciton-like particles. Seeking to reach our purpose, one analyzes the relativistic quantum mechanical system characterized by an effective mass distribution. In this context, we adopt an exciton-like position-dependent mass without impurity, i.e., without electromagnetic interactions. From this perspective, one notes results of noteworthy interest as consequences of the theory adopted. For instance, we highlight that, even without interaction, exciton-like Majorana fermions manifest theoretically bound states. Also, we construct a Majorana fermion ensemble with effective mass immersed in a thermal reservoir. That allows for a thorough investigation of the thermodynamic properties of the system. Among the thermodynamic characteristics studied in the canonical ensemble, we focus on the Helmholtz free energy, mean energy, entropy, and heat capacity. Einstenian cubic gravity (ECG) is a modified theory of gravity constructed with cubic contractions of the curvature tensor. This theory has the remarkable feature of having the same two propagating degrees of freedom of Einstein gravity (EG), at the perturbative level on maximally symmetric spacetimes. The additional unstable modes steaming from the higher order derivative dynamics are suppressed provided that we consider the ECG as an effective field theory wherein the cubic terms are seen as perturbative corrections of the Einstein-Hilbert term. Extensions of ECG have been proposed in cosmology and compact objects in order to probe if this property holds in more general configurations. In this work, we construct a modified ECG gravity in a five dimensional warped braneworld scenario. By assuming a specific combination of the cubic parameters, we obtained modified gravity equations of motion with terms up to second-order. For a thin 3-brane, the cubic-gravity corrections yield an effective positive bulk cosmological constant. Thus, in order to keep the 5D bulk warped compact, an upper bound of the cubic parameter with respect to the bulk curvature was imposed. For a thick brane, the cubic-gravity terms modify the scalar field potential and its corresponding vacuum. Nonetheless, the domain-wall structure with a localized source is preserved. At the perturbative level, the Kaluza-Klein (KK) tensor gravitational modes are stable and possess a localized massless mode provided the cubic corrections are small compared to the EG braneworld.

In this work, the influence of the boundary term $B$ is analyzed in a string-like thick brane scenario in the gravity context $f(T, B)$. For that, three models of $f(T, B)$ are proposed, i.e., $f_1(T, B)=T+k{B}^{n}$, $f_2(T, B)=T+k(-T+B)^{n}$ and $f_3(T, B)=T+k_1T^2+k_2{B}^2$, where $n$, $k$ and $k_{1,2}$ are parameters that control the deviation from the usual teleparallelism. The first relevant result obtained was the appearance of a super-located tower in the core for energy density. Furthermore, the greater the influence of the boundary term, the new maximums and minimums appear in the energy density. All this indicates the emergence of capable structures from split to the brane. We investigate the effects of the curved geometry on a massless relativistic electron constrained to a graphene strip with a Moebius strip shape. The anisotropic and parity-violating geometry of the Moebius band produces a geometric potential that inherits these features. By considering wires along the strip width and the strip length, we find exact solutions for the Dirac equation and the effects of the geometric potential on the electron were explored. In both cases, the geometric potential yields to a geometric phase on the wave function. Along the strip width, the density of states depends on the direction chosen for the wire, a consequence of the lack of axial symmetry. Moreover, the breaking of the parity symmetry enables the electronic states to be concentrated on the inner or on the outer portion of the strip. For wires along the strip length, the nontrivial topology influences the eigenfunctions by modifying their periodicity. It turns out that the ground state has a period of $4\pi$ whereas the first excited state is a $2\pi$ periodic function. Adopting the premise that the expected value of the quantum fluctuating metric is linear, i.e., $\langle g^{\mu\nu}\rangle=\alpha g^{\mu\nu}$, we analyze the modified gravity theory induced by the Einstein-Hilbert action coupled to a matter field. This approach engenders the $f(R,T)$ gravity used to investigate the braneworld. In this scenario, considering a thick brane, the influence of metric fluctuations on brane dynamics is investigated. We study the properties of a two-dimensional non-relativistic electron gas (TDEG) constrained on wires along a M\"{o}bius strip. We considered wires around the strip and along the transverse direction, across the width of the strip. For each direction, we investigate how the curvature modifies the electronic states and their corresponding energy spectrum. At the center of the strip, the wires around the surface form quantum rings whose spectrum depends on the strip radius $a$. For wires at the edge of the strip, the inner edge turns into the outer edge. Accordingly, the curvature yields localized states in the middle of the wire. This paper aims to investigate the localization of the five-dimensional spinor field known as Elko (dual-helicity eigenspinors of the charge conjugation operator) by employing a Yukawa-like geometrical coupling in which the Elko field is non-minimally coupled to nonmetricity scalar $Q$. In this work, we readdress the Dirac equation in the position-dependent mass (PDM) scenario. Here, one investigates the quantum dynamics of non-Hermitian fermionic particles with effective mass assuming a $(1+1)$-dimension flat spacetime. In seeking a Schr\"{o}dinger-like theory with PT symmetry is appropriate to assume a complex potential. This imaginary interaction produces an effective potential purely dependent on mass distribution. Furthermore, we study the non-relativistic limit by adopting the Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation. As a result, that limit leads to an ordering equivalent to the ordering that describes abrupt heterojunctions. Posteriorly, particular cases of mass distribution also were analyzed. Thus, interesting results arise for the case of a linear PDM, which produces an effective harmonic oscillator and induces the emergence of bound states. In the context of $f(T,B)$ modified teleparallel gravity, we investigate the influence of torsion scalar $T$ and boundary term $B$ on the confinement of both the gauge vector and Kalb-Ramond fields. Both fields require a suitable coupling in five-dimensional braneworld scenarios to yield a normalizable zero mode. We propose a Stueckelberg-like geometrical coupling that non-minimally couples the fields to the torsion scalar and boundary term. To set up our braneworld models, we use the first-order formalism in which two kinds of superpotential are taken: sine-Gordon and $\phi^{4}$-deformed. The geometrical coupling is used to produce a localized zero mode. Moreover, we analyze the massive spectrum for both fields and obtain possible resonant massive modes. Using Schr\"{o}dinger's formalism, we investigate the quantum eigenstates of the heavy mesons trapped by a point-like defect and by Cornell's potential. One implements this defect to the model considering a spherical metric profile coupled to it. Furthermore, the Nikiforov-Uvarov method is applied to theory to study the quantum eigenstates of the heavy mesons. To calculate the quantum information entropy (QIE), one considers the wave functions that describe the charmonium and bottomonium states. To explore the QIE, we use the well-known Shannon's entropy formulated at the position and reciprocal space. The analysis of the QIE gives us relevant information about how the quantum information change with the variation of the point-like defect. Building a multi-field theory with canonical and non-canonical contributions, one studies the topological solitons of the O(3)-sigma model. We propose a model constituted by the O(3)-sigma field, the cuscuton-like neutral scalar field, and Maxwell's field. We investigate BPS properties considering a theory without interaction. One performs this study by adopting the first-order formalism in a model with contribution non-canonical. Thus, these contributions will preserve the spontaneous symmetry breaking of the system. In this research article, we use the Shannon's formalism to investigate the quantum information entropy of a particle trapped by the Aharonov-Bohm-type effect. For quantum information study, it is necessary to investigate the eigenstates of the quantum system, i. e., the wave functions and energies of the quantum states. We assumed that the particle is in principle, confined in a cylindrical box in the presence of an Aharonov-Bohm-type effect due to dislocation defect. In the teleparallel $f(T)$ gravity scenario, we consider a five-dimensional thick brane. This scenario is interesting because this theory can provide explanations for inflation, radiation, and dark matter under certain conditions. It is convenient to assume, for our study, a polynomial profile of the function $f(T)$. Indeed, some polynomial profiles can produce internal structures for which a brane splitting occurs. For functions $f(T)$ with this capability, geometrically contracted matter field configurations are obtained. These contractions of the matter field for the profiles of $f(T)$ reproduce compact-like settings. To complement the study, we analyze the stability of the brane using the concept of Configurational Entropy (CE). The CE arguments are interesting because they tell us the most stable and likely configurations from the brane in this gravitational background. The topological structures of a $\phi^6$ theory with multi-field are studied. The $\phi^6$ theory is interesting because it is a theory that allows the shrinkage of topological structures generating double-kink or even multi-kink configurations. In this work, we consider and study the solutions of a two real scalar fields model. To reach our purpose, we investigate the BPS properties of the fields using the approach proposed by Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield. We investigate the influence of the matter field and the gauge field on the metric functions of the AdS$_3$ spacetime of the Maxwell-Higgs model. By considering a matter field with a solitonic profile with the ability to adjust the field variable from kink to compact-like configurations, the appearance of black hole solutions is noticed for an event horizon at $r_{+} \approx 1.5$. An interesting result is displayed when analyzing the influence of matter field compactification on the metric functions. As we obtain compact-like field configurations the metric functions tend to a ``linearized behavior''. However, the compactification of the field does not change the structure of the horizon of the magnetic black hole vortex. With the ADM formalism, the mass of the black hole vortex is calculated, and its numerical results are presented. By analyzing the so-called ADM mass, it is observed that the mass of the black hole vortex increases as the cosmological constant becomes more negative, and this coincides with the vortex core becoming smaller. Nonetheless, this mass tends to decrease as the solitonic profile of the matter field becomes more compacted. Then, the black hole temperature study is performed using the tunneling formalism. In this case, it is perceived that the cosmological constant, and the $\alpha$-parameter, will influence the Bekenstein-Hawking temperature. We investigate the quantum information by a theoretical measurement approach of an Aharanov-Bohm (AB) ring with Yukawa interaction in curved space with disclination. It obtained the so-called Shannon entropy, through the eigenfunctions of the system. The quantum states considered come from a Schroedinger theory with the AB field in the background of curved space. The topological structures that arise from two-dimensional models are relevant physically and the first step towards understanding more complex systems. In this work, one studies the kink-like solutions of the matter field that emerge in a two-dimensional dilaton gravity scenario. For the study of topological vortices with non-minimal coupling, we built a kind of non-canonical O(3)-sigma model, with a Maxwell term modified by a dielectric function. Through the BPS formalism, an investigation is made on possible configurations of vortices in topological sectors of the sigma model and the real scalar field. For a particular ansatz, the solutions of the topological sector of the real scalar field are described by the known kink solutions. On the other hand, when studying the vortices in the non-minimal sector of the pure O(3)-sigma model, it is detected the emergence of solutions that generate solitary waves similar to structures derived from a KdV-like theory. We observed that in the study of mixed models, namely, the topological sector of the O(3)-sigma model coupled to the topological sector of the real scalar field, the vortex solutions assume a profile of a step function. Then, when kinks of the topological sector of the scalar field are interacting with the field of the sigma model, it makes the field solutions of the O(3)-sigma model become extremely localized, making the vortice structures non-physical., Comment: 16 pages, 14 figures. We propose a braneworld scenario in a modified symmetric teleparallel gravitational theory, where the dynamics for the gravitational field is encoded in the nonmetricity tensor rather than in the curvature. Assuming a single real scalar field with a sine-Gordon self-interaction, the generalized quadratic nonmetricity invariant $\mathbb{Q}$ controls the brane width while keeping the shape of the energy density. By considering power corrections of the invariant $\mathbb{Q}$ in the gravitational Lagrangian, the sine-Gordon potential is modified exhibiting new barriers and false vacuum. As a result, the domain wall brane obtains an inner structure, and it undergoes a splitting process. In addition, we also propose a non-minimal coupling between a bulk fermion field and the nonmetricity invariant $\mathbb{Q}$. In this work, we propose an exponentially generalized Abelian model. We investigated the presence of vortex structures in models coupled to Maxwell and Chern-Simons fields. We chose to investigate the dynamics of the complex scalar field in models coupled separately to the Maxwell term and the Chern-Simons term. For this, we analyze the Bogomol'nyi equations in both cases to describe the static field configurations. An interesting result appears when we note that scalar field solutions generate degenerate minimum energy configurations by a factor of $\nu^{2}$ in Maxwell's case. On the other hand, in the case of Chern-Simons, the solutions in this sector are degenerate by a factor of $\kappa\nu^{2}/a_{s}$. In this work, we study the higher-derivative massive gravity in $D$-dimensional space-time with the mass term arisen due to a 2-brane embedded in a $4D$ Minkowski spacetime. We consider the effect of a resonance mass term from the DGP braneworld model for the higher-derivative massive gravity. Moreover, we add the gravitational Chern-Simons and Ricci-Cotton terms to this model and evaluate the graviton propagator using a basis of Barnes-Rivers spin projectors. Using a spherically symmetric ansatz, we show that the Chern-Simons O(3)-sigma model with a logarithmic potential admits topological solutions. This result is quite interesting since the Gausson-type logarithmic potential only predicted topological solutions in $(1+1)$D models. To accomplish our goal, the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) method is used, to saturate the energy and obtain the BPS equations. We investigate the presence of topological structures and multiple phase transitions in the O(3)-sigma model with the gauge field governed by Maxwell's term and subject to a so-called Gausson's self-dual potential. To carry out this study, it is numerically shown that this model supports topological solutions in 3-dimensional spacetime. In fact, to obtain the topological solutions, we assume a spherically symmetrical ansatz to find the solutions, as well as some physical behaviors of the vortex, as energy and magnetic field. It is presented a planar view of the magnetic field as an interesting configuration of a ring-like profile. To calculate the differential configurational complexity (DCC) of structures, the spatial energy density of the vortex is used. In fact, the DCC is important because it provides us with information about the possible phase transitions associated with the structures located in the Maxwell-Gausson model in 3D. The thick brane scenario built on the f(T,B) teleparallel gravity theory was considered for the study of phase transitions, internal structures, and new classes of solutions in a model. In this theory, T denotes the torsion scalar, and B is a boundary term. An interesting result was observed when brane splitting occurs, i. e., internal structures in the model arise as a consequence of the appearance of new domain walls in the theory. We study a spin 1/2 fermion in a teleparallel f(T) domain-wall thick braneworld. By assuming a non-minimal coupling of fermion to the torsion, a geometric alternative to the Yukawa coupling is found. We introduced a generalized Maxwell-Higgs model in a $(3+1)$ isotropic spacetime, and we found their stationary solutions using the BPS approach in curved spacetime. In order to investigate the compact-like vortices, we assume a particular choice for the generalization term. The model is controlled by a potential driven by a single real parameter that can be used to change the vortex solutions profile as they approach their bound values. Resembling some flat spacetime vortex solutions, our model tends to compress the vortices when the parameter $l$ increases. In this work, a possible description for quantum dynamics of the cuscuton within the sigma-model approach is presented. Lower order perturbative corrections and the structure of divergences are found. Motivated by the results generated by the perturbative approach, we investigate the existence of topological structures in the cuscuton-like model. The structures we study are, first, kink-like configurations in two dimensional spacetime, second, vortex solutions in three dimensional one with gauge field ruled by the Maxwell term. In fact, to show the existence of kink solutions it is needed to introduce a standard dynamics term in the cuscuton-like model. Then, a numerical approach (interpolation method) is used and the solution of the scalar field is presented. On the other hand, for the study of topological vortices, we reorganized the energy density to obtain, for convenience, equations similar to those canonical vortex structures, namely, the Maxwell-Higgs model. In fact, even for this particular case, we observed the existence of structures with localized energy and quantized magnetic flux in a given topological sector. We investigated the effects of the spacetime curvature and extra dimensions on the excitations of a self-interacting vector field known as the bumblebee field. The self-interacting quadratic potential breaks the gauge invariance and the vacuum expectation value (VEV) of the bumblebee field $b_M$ violates the local particle Lorentz symmetry. By assuming the bumblebee field living in a $AdS_{5}$ bulk, we found an exponential suppression of the self-interacting constant $\lambda$ and the bumblebee VEV along the extra dimension. The fluctuations of the bumblebee upon the VEV can be decomposed into transverse and longitudinal modes with respect to $b_{M}$. Despite the curvature, the transverse mode acquires massive Kaluza-Klein towers, while the longitudinal mode acquires LV mass $\lambda b^{2}$. On the other hand, the current conservation law prevents massive Kaluza-Klein modes for the longitudinal mode. For a spacelike $b_{M}$ along the extra dimension and assuming a FRW 3-brane embedded in the $AdS_{5}$ yields to an additional dissipative term to the longitudinal mode. The cosmological expansion leads to decay of the longitudinal mode in a time $\Delta t \approx H^{-1}$, where $H=\dot{a}/a$ is the Hubble parameter and $a(t)$ is the scale factor. For a timelike $b_{M}$, the longitudinal mode does not propagate on the brane and its amplitude decays in time with $a^{-3}$ and in the extra dimension with $z^{-\lambda b^{2}l^{2}}$., Comment: 15 pages, no figure

In this paper, we study the thick brane scenario constructed in the recently proposed $f(T,\mathcal{T})$ theories of gravity, where $T$ is called the torsion scalar, and $\mathcal{T}$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. We use the first-order formalism to find analytical solutions for models that include a scalar field as a source. In particular, we describe two interesting cases in which, in the first, we obtain a double-kink solution, which generates a splitting in the brane. In the second case, proper management of a kink solution obtained generates a splitting in the brane intensified by the torsion parameter, evinced by the energy density components satisfying the weak and strong energy conditions. In addition, we investigate the behavior of the gravitational perturbations in this scenario. The parameters that control the torsion and the trace of the energy-momentum tensor tend to shift the massive modes to the core of the brane, keeping a gapless non-localizable and stable tower of massive modes and producing more localized massless modes., Comment: 31 pages, 49 figures. After recent observational events like the LIGO-Virgo detections of gravitational waves and the shadow image of M87* supermassive black hole by Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), the theoretical study of black holes was significantly improved. Quantities as quasinormal frequencies, shadows, and light deflection become more important to analyze black hole models. In this context, an interesting scenario to study is a black hole in the bumblebee gravity. The bumblebee vector field imposes a spontaneous symmetry breaking that allows the field to acquire a vacuum expectation value that generates Lorentz-Violating (LV) into the black hole. In order to compute the quasinormal modes (QNMs) via the WKB method, we obtain the Reege-Wheeler's equation with a bell-shaped potential for this black hole. Both QNMs, the scalar and tensorial modes, are computed for the black hole in the bumblebee scenario. Braneworld models are interesting theoretical and phenomenological frameworks to search for new physics beyond the standard model of particles and cosmology. In this work, we discuss braneworld models whose gravitational dynamics are governed by teleparallel $f(T)$ gravities. Here, we emphasize a codimension two axisymmetric model, also known as a string-like brane. Likewise, in the 5D domain-walls models, the $f(T)$ gravitational modification leads to a phase transition on the perfect fluid source providing a brane-splitting mechanism. Furthermore, the torsion changes the gravitational perturbations. The torsion produces new potential wells inside the brane core leading to a massless mode more localized around the ring structures. A Majorana fermion is the single fermionic particle that is its own antiparticle. Its dynamics is determined by the Majorana equation, where the spinor field is by definition equal to its charge-conjugate field. In this paper, we investigated Shannon's entropy of linear Majorana fermions to understand how this quantity is modified due to an external potential of the linear type linear. Subsequently, we turn our attention to the construction of an ensemble of these Majorana particles to study the thermodynamic properties of the model. In order to investigate possible topological vortex structures in generalized models, we developed a perturbative generation approach for scalar-vector theories. We demonstrate explicitly that the dielectric permeability functions must have a nonpolynomial shape, i. e., the form of the logarithmic function. Basing on this result, we built models in $(2+1)D$ with logarithmic dielectric permeability in order to investigate the presence of topological vortex structures in a Maxwell model. This type of scalar-vector models is important because they can generate stationary field solutions in theories describing the dynamics of the scalar field. As examples, we chose models of the complex scalar field coupled to the Maxwell field. Subsequently, we investigated the model's Bogomol'nyi equations to describe the field configurations. Then, we demonstrate numerically, for an ansatz with rotational symmetry, that the solutions of the complex scalar field generating minimum energy configurations are topological structures depending on the parameters obtained in the perturbative generation of the vector-scalar theory., Comment: 26 pages, 13 figures

We obtain a static spherically symmetric wormhole solution due to the vacuum expectation value (VEV) of a Kalb-Ramond field. The Kalb-Ramond VEV is a background tensor field which produces a local Lorentz symmetry breaking (LSB) of spacetime. Considering a non-minimal coupling between the Kalb-Ramond (VEV) and the Ricci tensor, we found an exact traversable wormhole solution sustained by matter sources with a negative isotropic pressure. The matter source satisfies the energy conditions at the throat for particular choices of the LSB parameter. We propose a codimension two warped braneworld model within the teleparallel $f(T)$ gravity. By assuming a global vortex as the source, we found a $l=0$ vortex solution that yields to a thick string-like brane. Asymptotically, the bulk geometry converges to an $AdS_6$ spacetime whose cosmological constant is produced by the torsion parameters. Furthermore, the torsion induces an $AdS-dS$ transition on the exterior region. Inside the brane core, the torsion produces an internal structure even for a single complex scalar field. As the torsion parameters vary, the brane undergoes a phase transition leading to the formation of ring-like structures. The bulk-brane Planck mass ration is modified by the torsion. The analysis of the stress energy condition reveals a splitting brane process satisfying the weak and strong energy conditions for some values of the parameters. In addition, we investigate the behaviour of the gravitational perturbations in this scenario. It turns out that the gravitational spectrum has a linear behaviour for small masses and is independent of the torsion parameters for large masses. In the bulk, the torsion keeps a gapless non-localizable and stable tower of massive modes. In this work, we revisit the duality between a self-dual non-gauge invariant theory and a topological massive theory in $3+1$ dimensions. The self-dual Lagrangian is composed by a vector field and an antisymmetric field tensor whereas the topological massive Lagrangian is build using a $B \wedge F$ term. Though the Lagrangians are quite different, they yield to equations of motion that are connected by a simple dual mapping among the fields. We discuss this duality by analyzing the degrees of freedom in both theories and comparing their propagating modes at the classical level. Moreover, we employ the master action method to obtain a fundamental Lagrangian that interpolates between these two theories and makes evident the role of the topological $B \wedge F$ term in the duality relation. By coupling these theories with matter fields, we show that the duality holds provided a Thirring-like term is included. In addition, we use the master action in order to probe the duality upon the quantized fields. In this work, we study emission correlations in Rainbow Gravity (RG) black holes known to have black hole remnants. Non-thermal corrections are responsible for generating non-zero correlations between particle emission events during the black hole evaporation process. With this in mind, we calculate the temperatures considering back-reaction effects. Then, we obtain the correlations between emission events for a RG metric proposed by Magueijo and Smolin. We study the gravitation effects on a static and spherically symmetric spacetime due to the vacuum expectation value (VEV) of a Kalb-Ramond field. The Kalb-Ramond VEV is a background tensor field which produces a local Lorentz symmetry breaking (LSB) of spacetime. Considering a non-minimal coupling between the Kalb-Ramond (VEV) and the Ricci tensor, we obtain an exact parameter-dependent power-law modified black hole. For a particular choice of the LSB parameter, the Lorentz violation produces a solution similar to the Reissner-Nordstrom, despite the absence of charge. The near-horizon geometry is modified by including a new inner horizon and shifting the Schwarzschild horizon. Asymptotically, the usual Minkowski spacetime with a background tensor field is recovered. The vacuum configurations are studied considering the energy conditions and the Lorentz violating source properties. By means of the mercury perihelion test, an upper bound to the local Lorentz violation (LV) is obtained, and its corresponding effects on the black hole temperature is investigated., Comment: 9 pages. In this work, we investigated the existence of compacton-like configuration in the O(3)-sigma model. We consider a minimally coupled O(3)-sigma model with a gauge field governed by a generalized Chern-Simons term. Contrary to that established in the literature, we impose a new set of boundary conditions and, we find solutions of the variable fields and the respective energy density in the Bogomol'nyi limit. On the other hand, the introduction of a parameter $\omega$ in the Chern-Simons term can be adjusted to leads to finite-energy solutions of the model. In this work, we study the symmetries of a Lorentz violating bipartite-Finsler spacetime. By using the Finslerian Killing equation for the bipartite-Finsler metric, we analyze how the anisotropy of the bipartite spacetime modifies the local Lorentz symmetries. The symmetries of the Finsler metric allow us to obtain the bipartite algebra and interpreted it as a deformed Lorentz algebra. Causality effects driven by the particle modified dispersion relations are investigated upon Minkowski and the Schwarzschild spacetimes.
