Background: We aimed to examine the effects of endobronchial valve and coil treatments performed for bronchoscopic lung volume reduction[BLVR] on the respiratory functions and quality-of-life in the patients with emphysema. Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study. The medical files of the patients (mean age: 58.9 ±8.3 years) on whom endobronchial valve (11) and coil (9) were performed for BLVR.All the patients9 preoperative and postoperative body mass indexes (BMI kg/m2), spirometric measurements, 6-minute-walking tests (6MWT), Modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) dyspnea scores, BODE indexes, GOLD staging and St. George9s Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) were examined.
