This paper describes an efficient technique to analyze the transmission and the reflection of finite size frequency selective surfaces (FSS) array. The transmission and reflection coefficients are calculated using the method of moment by comparison with the metallic plate with the same size. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed method.

The problems of electromagnetic scattering from arbitrary complex media targets placed above a lossy half space are successfully analyzed by the FEBI method. The accuracy of the proposed method is proved by comparison with the published data.

In this paper, an adaptive grouping method combined with MF-FMA (AMF-FMA) for solving low-frequency problem from electromagnetic wave scattering problems is described. One advantage of the presented AMF-FMA method is that it doesn't need to mesh the whole object as dense as MF-FMA, MF-FMA is applied for capturing the fine details of the structure accurately, and MLFMA is implemented for the rest of the object. Numerical experiments of typical examples are performed and comparison to verify the AMF-FMA is efficient.

In this paper, the hybrid CFIE-IEFIE with ILU(0) preconditioner is proposed to efficiently solve the electromagnetic scattering problems. The main purpose is to avoid the unstable phenomenon of the ILU(0) preconditioner in the solution of CFIE-EFIE. The reason for the stableness in our case is that the hybrid CFIE-IEFIE is similar to CFIE. Hence it is an efficient scheme to analyze the scattering of the structures consisting of both open and closed surfaces.

In this paper, a modified GMRESR algorithm is introduced and used for efficiently solving non-Hermitian linear systems that arise from EFIE formulation of electromagnetic scattering problems. This method utilizes the GMRES technique as the inner method, and does a global minimization of the error over both the inner search space and the outer search space. It leads to a significant reduction both in the number of iterations and solution time. Two numerical experiments examples are performed and comparison with other common iterative methods is made, which shows the GCRO algorithm is more efficient and robust.

In this paper, an unconditionally stable implicit FETD algorithm combined with the FETI method is described. The method is general enough for arbitrary geometries, and yet capable of taking advantage of periodicity. Together with the first-order ABC, the method is applied to simulate the microstrip EBG structure. Through the periodicity of this structure, memory requirements are further reduced without sacrificing accuracy. The simulation results are well agreed with the results obtained by FDTD method.
