This paper describes hardware implementation of optimization technique based sensorless MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) method for grid-connected PV (Photovoltaic) generation system. A DC-DC converter has been used to step-up the PV system voltage. Optimization technique (Simplex) has been implemented to optimize the current and voltage controller gain parameters. Optimization of duty ratio increment is applied for the speed and stability of MPPT. Hardware implementation results revealed that the proposed control scheme has better response. The experimental results are compared to the simulation results and discussed in detail.

This paper deals with harmonics and reactive power compensation method by grid-connected Photovoltaic (PV) generation system. The experiment is carried out on the proposed single-stage grid-connected PV generation system, and controlled by digital signal processor TMS320F2812. The experimental results include converter operating features either as active power filter or static synchronous compensator (STATCOM), while transferring real power to the grid. The results validate the feasibility of the proposed method.

An effective POS (Photovoltaic Output Sensorless) MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) control method for PV (PhotoVoltaic) power generation system is proposed in this paper. A fuzzy logic based algorithm, which has a simple feedback structure and fewer measured parameters, is proposed and applied to the control strategy of a DC/DC converter for effective realization of MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking). The main advantages of this method are that the oscillation of power around at maximum power point and tracking time can be minimized, and the cost of overall system can be reduced as well. The effectiveness of proposed method is demonstrated through the simulation and experiment of a model PV power generation system.
