The purpose of this symposium is to explore recent advances in the study of teams with dynamic boundaries. We bring together both theoretical and empirical research that investigate dynamic teams, especially in the context of multiple team membership. To be specific, the papers highlight how cognitive (e.g., attention allocation), affective (e.g., team identification), and behavioral (e.g., communication norms) input from members help conceptualize teams and explain their collaborative outcomes.
