Research has been conducted on the gamma-irradiated CCl (sub)3 F/n-alkane solutions. The studies of these solutions carried out via the use of the electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and gas chromatographic analysis after melting are discussed.

Abstract

Research has been conducted on the [1,3] carbon sigmatropic rearrangements of bicyclo[2.1.1]hex-2-enes, bicyclo[3.2.0]hept-2-enes and monocyclic vinylcyclobutanes. The results of the stereochemical and kinetic analyses of these rearrangements indicate that they involve transient diradical structures.
