The article focuses on Georgii Dmitrievich Mansfeld, a Russian scientist in the field of radio physics, solid-state electronics, and physical acoustics. It states that September 11, 2010 marked the 70th birthday of Mansfeld, who has joined the Moscow Physical Technical Institute (MPTI) in 1961. It says that his research on the acoustoelectronic of semiconductors was known worldwide. Meanwhile, he was the deputy chairman of the Scientific Council on Acoustics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
