Antiambipolar heterojunctions are regarded as a revolutionary technology in the fields of electronics and optoelectronics, enabling the switch between positive and negative transconductance within a single device, which is crucial for diverse logic circuit applications. This study pioneers a mixed-dimensional photodetector featuring antiambipolar properties, facilitated by the van der Waals integration of one-dimensional CdSxSe1–xnanowires and two-dimensional Te nanosheets. This antiambipolar device enables flexible control over carrier transport via gate voltage, thus paving new paths for future optoelectronic devices. Furthermore, by precisely managing the stoichiometry of the ternary alloy CdSxSe1–xnanowires, fine-tuning of the nanowire band structure is achieved. This allows for customizable heterojunction band alignment (Type I and Type II), enabling adjustable band alignment. Through sophisticated band engineering, optimal Type II band alignment is achieved at the CdSxSe1–x/Te interface, significantly enhancing the device’s photoelectric conversion efficiency through the synergistic effect of different dimensional materials. Exhibiting outstanding photoresponse across a broad spectral range from ultraviolet to near-infrared, especially under 450 nm illumination, the CdSxSe1–x/Te heterojunction photodetector demonstrates superior performance, including an impressive responsivity of 284 A W–1, a high detectivity of 1.07 × 1017Jones, an elevated external quantum efficiency of 7.83 × 104%, and a swift response time of 11 μs. Ultimately, this customizable antiambipolar photodetector lays a solid foundation for the advancement of next-generation optoelectronic technologies.

Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs), which combine the precise targeting capabilities of antibodies with the powerful cytotoxicity of small-molecule drugs, have evolved into a promising approach for tumor treatment. However, the traditional covalent coupling method requires the design of a specific linker tailored to the properties of the small-molecule drugs, which greatly limits the development of ADCs and the range of drugs that can be used. Herein, a novel type of antibody–calixarene drug conjugates (ACDCs) that function similarly to ADCs by delivering drugs to their targets using antibodies but without the requirement of covalent conjugation of the drugs with antibodies is presented. By replacement of conventional linkers with supramolecular linkers, the ACDCs can load various chemotherapeutic drugs through host–guest interactions. Furthermore, ACDCs are readily reduced upon reaching the hypoxic microenvironment, resulting in rapid release of the drugs. With this precise drug encapsulation and controlled release mechanism, ACDCs deliver drugs to tumor tissues effectively and achieve a significantly enhanced antitumor effect. Considering that the ACDCs can be easily prepared by combining antibody–calixarene conjugates derived from tumor-targeting antibodies with various small-molecule drugs, ACDCs may provide a promising platform technology to accelerate ADC development and thus improve the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy.

The strategic design of catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is crucial in tackling the substantial energy demands associated with hydrogen production in electrolytic water splitting. Despite extensive research on birnessite (δ-MnO2) manganese oxides to enhance catalytic activity by modulating Mn3+species, the ongoing challenge is to simultaneously stabilize Mn3+while improving overall activity. Herein, oxygen (O) vacancies and nitrogen (N) doping have been simultaneously introduced into the MnO2through a simple nitrogen plasma approach, resulting in efficient OER performance. The optimized N-MnO2velectrocatalyst exhibits outstanding OER activity in alkaline electrolyte, reducing the overpotential by nearly 160 mV compared to pure pristine MnO2(from 476 to 312 mV) at 10 mA cm–2, and a small Tafel slope of 89 mV dec–1. Moreover, it demonstrates excellent durability over a 122 h stability test. The introduction of O vacancies and incorporation of N not only fine-tune the electronic structure of MnO2, increasing the Mn3+content to enhance overall activity, but also play a crucial role in stabilizing Mn3+, thereby leading to exceptional stability over time. Subsequently, density functional theory calculations validate the optimized electronic structure of MnO2achieved through the two engineering methods, effectively lowering the intermediate adsorption free energy barrier. Our synergistic approach, utilizing nitrogen plasma treatment, opens a pathway to concurrently enhance the activity and stability of OER electrocatalysts, applicable not only to Mn-based but also to other transition metal oxides.

Two-dimensional (2D) Ti3C2TxMXene materials show great potential in electrochemical and flexible sensors due to their high electrical conductivity, good chemical stability, and special delaminated structure. However, their thermal properties were rarely studied, which remarkably affect the stability and safety of various devices. Here, we fabricated a suspended MXene drum resonator photothermally driven by a sinusoidally modulated laser, measured the thermal time constant by demodulating the thermomechanical motion, and then calculated the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the MXene film. Experiments show the thermal conductivity of the film increases from 3.10 to 3.58 W/m·K while the thermal diffusivity from 1.06 × 10–6to 1.22 × 10–6m2/s when temperature increases from 300 to 360 K. We also confirm the film thermal conductivity is mainly contributed by phonon transport rather than electron transport. Furthermore, the relationship between the mechanical and thermal properties of the MXene films was disclosed. The thermal conductivity decreases when film strain increases, caused by enhanced phonon scattering and softening of high-frequency phonons. The measurements provide a noninvasive method to analyze the thermal characteristics of suspended MXene films, which can be further extended to the thermal properties of other 2D materials.
