The title compound, C22H19FN2, was prepared by reacting phenylhydrazine with 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-3-( p-tolyl)prop-2-enone. The pyrazoline ring forms a dihedral angle of 5.2 (3)° with the phenyl ring, 8.8 (1)° with the fluorophenyl ring and 80.7 (2)° with the p-tolyl ring. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the mol­ecule of the title compound, C12H11N3OS, the dihedral angle between the planar rings is 59.4 (2)°.
