The molecule sits on a crystallographic center of symmetry at the mid-point of the central N—N bond and both N atoms are acceptors in an intramolecular hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, the planar molecules are arranged in a sheet-like motif with one C—H...O bond linking molecules within the sheets and a second C—H...O interaction between neighboring sheets.
