In the cation of the title hydrated salt, C19H21N2O2S2 (+)·I(-)·H2O, the benzo-thia-zolium ring system is approximately planar [maximum deviation = 0.0251 (15) Å], and it makes a small dihedral angle of 1.16 (18)° with the plane of the thio-phene ring. In the crystal, the cations, anions and crystalline water mol-ecules are linked by classical O-H⋯O, O-H⋯I and weak C-H⋯O hydrogn bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular network. π-π stacking is observed between parallel thia-zole rings of adjacent cations [centroid-centroid distance = 3.5945 (16) Å].

In the title compound, C8H11NO2S, the aldehyde group is approximately coplanar with the thio-phene ring [maximum deviation = 0.023 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into supra-molecular chains propagating along the a-axis direction.

In the title mol-ecule, C22H22N2O4, the eth-oxy-phenyl rings are oriented at dihedral angles of 69.31 (13) and 75.90 (13)° to the nitro-phenyl ring and are twisted to each other, making a dihedral angle of 78.55 (13)°. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-action link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

In the title compound, C24H18N2OS, the pyridine and the two phenyl rings are oriented at dihedral angles of 10.1 (5), 71.7 (6) and 68.7 (5)°, respectively, to the central thio-phene ring. In the crystal, pairs of weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link inversion-related mol-ecules, forming dimers. The dimers are linked by further weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the a-axis direction.

In the cation of the title salt, C(18)H(23)N(2) (+)·C(24)H(20)B(-), the pyridine ring forms a dihedral angle of 14.23 (6)° with the benzene ring. One of the ethyl groups of the cation was refined as disordered over two sets of sites with equal occupancies.

In the title compound, C(15)H(12)ClN(3)O(2)S(2), the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 89.71 (10)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds occur.

In the title mol-ecule, C(21)H(16)O(8), the dihedral angle between the ring systems is 58.5 (1)°. In the crystal, C-H⋯O inter-actions help to establish the packing.

In the title mol-ecule, C(17)H(22)N(2)O(3), the mean plane of the terminal (C=O)OMe fragment and the indole plane form a dihedral angle of 78.94 (3)°. Inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains extended along the c axis. The crystal packing exhibits π-π inter-actions, indicated by the short distance of 3.472 (2) Å between the centroids of the five-membered heterocycles of neighbouring mol-ecules.

The title compound, C(10)H(12)N(2)O(2), was synthesized by cyclization of 3-(1-ethyl-pyrrole-2-carboxamido)propanoic acid in the presence of polyphospho-ric acid and diphospho-rus pentoxide. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains extending along the b axis.

The title compound, C(10)H(14)N(2)O(3)·H(2)O, was synthesized by alkyl-ation of methyl 3-(1H-pyrrole-2-carboxamido)-propion-ate with ethyl bromide, followed by saponification and acidification. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming layers parallel to the ac plane.

In the title compound, C(5)H(5)NO(2), the pyrrole ring and its carboxyl substituent are close to coplanar, with a dihedral angle of 11.7 (3)° between the planes. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form inversion dimers. Additional N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link these dimers into chains extending along the a axis.

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(8)H(10)N(2)O(3), mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons of centrosymmetric dimers extending along the c axis.
