We present a case of Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the larynx. When we review the literature, we verify the rareness of this carcinoma in this localization. We were made use of this and we realize a exposition of these tumours, with special interest on the clinic study and the treatment carried out in our case.

We present a descriptive study of 6,522 ENT emergencies in our universitary hospital in 1987. They are analysed under different parameters, which include the reason for emergency, seriousness, surgery, hospitalization and interexaminations. We expose the correlation among the different parameters and the evaluation of the adequacy between hospitalary emergency services and the demand.

We present a series of 133 cases of children under 10 years of age with solid foreign bodies in lower respiratory tract. These cases were analysed under clinic, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects. The index of clinical diagnosis is taken into consideration, based on the respiratory symptoms and the aspirative antecedent, the radiologic diagnosis; bronchoscopy as diagnosis and therapeutic procedure, and the use of other medical and surgical treatments.

Four cases of Histiocytosis X are presented here, with symptoms otorhinolaryngologic. The evolution has been good, so they have been without disease for three of four years. We are presenting the problem of differential diagnosis of this disease for ENT specialists and the delay in the diagnosis. All our cases were diagnosed after one year of the beginning of symptoms.

We present two clinical cases of jugular glomus in which different kinds of treatment have been adopted. In literature we can find a review of the utility and morbidity of the different methods of exploration as well as the results obtained by the different authors according to the kind of treatment. Nevertheless we don't come to definite conclusions due to the fact that the classifications and curing criteria very in the different series.
