The coexistence of the prolateandoblateshapesisatypicalphenomenoninthenucleiwithmassAˇ70.Here, the number of active nucleons is large enough to create a coherentmotion but, on the other hand, this collectivity can still be tracked to thesingleparticledegreesoffreedom. Excitedstateslifetimemeasurementspro-videinformationonthenucleardeformationandthepropertiesofcollectivestructures,varietyofwhichoccursinthisregionofthenuclearchart.
