In a global context of constant changes and recurrent crises, firms have faced many problems and challenges. Some of them as a result of changes in the preferences and needs of consumers, others by their growth trajectory, not environmentally friendly practices and diminish of working conditions. Companies have been questioned about their behavior, not only by the workers, but also by civil society (through non-governmental organizations) who demand them actions in the field of Corporate Social responsibility (CSR). The CSR involves attention on aspects such as the care of the environment, ethical and respectful treatment in labour topics and social needs of the communities where the companies are located. Although all of these aspects are relevant, the study of CSR actions in labour topics is important because it shows the attention of enterprises in areas such as: wages, freedom of association, discrimination, child labour, slavery, among others. The objective of this paper is to analyze the actions of social responsibility in labour topics as a part of the strategy of companies to stay and grow in the market. The labour accreditation to the Federal Labor Association (FLA) process is analyzed as one of the CSR actions carried out some multinationals footwear to legitimize themselves and inform to society of their practices and forms of management. For this purpose we worked with reports of the Fair Labor Association (FLA), United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and MFC established in Mexico.
