To study the weathered characteristics of silty mudstone in Hunan province, china, mineral analysis, softening test, disintegrability test, and weathering rate test are used. The test results show that with the increasing of weathering degree, the content of clay minerals increase from 34.1% to 57.2%, the content of quartz decrease from 58.6% to 38.7%. The content increasing ratio of Fe2O3 and Al2O3 are 52% and 44% respectively, the content decreasing ratio of K2O is 52%. From lightly weathered rock to completely weathered rock, the decreasing ratio of dry density is 20%, the increasing ratio of water absorption is 40%, the increasing ratio of porosity is 190% nearly and the decreasing ratio of natural compressive strength is 84%. For strongly weathered silty mudstone, the softening coefficients of the first dry-wet cycle, the second cycle and the third cycle are 30%, 54% and 72% respectively. So when silty mudstone weathered further, the content of primary minerals decrease and the content of secondary minerals increase. The weak activity chemical composition increase and the strong activity chemical composition decrease. Weathering cause the mechanical properties of rock become worse. Repeated dry-wet cycle can accelerate the softening of rock. The larger the exposure area of rock is, the quicker the rock weathered.

This study projects the future extreme climate changes over Huang-Huai-Hai (3H) region in China using a regional climate model (RegCM4). The RegCM4 performs well in “current” climate (1970-1999) simulations by compared with the available surface station data, focusing on near-surface air temperature and precipitation. Future climate changes are evaluated based on experiments driven by European-Hamburg general climate model (ECHAM5) in A1B future scenario (2070-2099). The results show that the annual temperature increase about 3.4 °C-4.2 °C and the annual precipitation increase about 5-15% in most of 3H region at the end of 21st century. The model predicts a generally less frost days, longer growing season, more hot days, no obvious change in heat wave duration index, larger maximum five-day rainfall, more heavy rain days, and larger daily rainfall intensity. The results indicate a higher risk of floods in the future warmer climate. In addition, the consecutive dry days in Huai River Basin will increase, indicating more serve drought and floods conditions in this region.

The farmland soils around three typical livestock farms in Jilin province were studied to elucidate the impact of farms on heavy metal pollution in surrounding farmland soils. The results showed that the average content of Cd was maximal in the soils around cattle farm (0.29 mg kg-1); the average value of Pb was highest in the soils around the pig farm; and Cu, Zn, Ni and Cr were all highest in the soils around the chicken farm. The distribution of heavy metals in the soils around different livestock farms varied greatly. The contents of Cu, Zn, Ni and Cr decreased in the same order: chicken farm> pig farm > cattle farm, but Pb was pig farm> chicken farm> cattle farm, and Cd was cattle farm> pig farm> chicken farm. These results indicated that the livestock farms did not cause significant heavy metal pollution in its surrounding agricultural soils, but the accumulation of heavy metals caused by farms should arouse the attention.

General Engineering - Abstract
Nowadays, in China nearly all the produced oil-fields have already entered the period of high water cut, and the six oil-fields of Daqing and Shengli oil-field etc. have exceeded eighty percent water cut. Beierdong Block has produced for nearly fifty years, and now it has entered into the descending output stage and its water cut has reached more than ninety percent. With oil field infill gradually in Beierdong Block, each series of well network production target getting worse gradually, intersecting with old well network stratigraphic position, and polymer flooding well network use part of water driving old well, making the contradictory of layer well network concatenate and dynamic regulation intensely. Especially as the block of infill adjustment proceeded earliest, acquired better developed effect at the beginning of regulation, but with the deep development of the field, after the phase of extra high water cut, exposed gradually some problems such as the perforating interval is too long, the contradiction of interlamination is obvious, the high water cut of multilayer is serious, bringing huge difficulty to dynamic analysis regulation[1]. Basing on layer recombination and using the reservoir simulation method, the paper studied the distribution of remaining oil, forecast variation regular pattern of development indexes. By contrasting these indexes, the paper estimates the effect of layer recombination. It has important significance for the next period’s development.

Using H2 and Al (CH3)3(TMA) as precursor, we investigated the atomic layer deposition mechanism of the metal Al on Si (100) surface by density functional theory. The reaction process comprises two half-reaction depositions: TMA "half-reaction" includes I and II on the H blunt reaction surface; H2 "half-reaction" includes the subsequent reaction Ⅲ and Ⅳ. In the TMA half reaction process, trimethyl aluminum first molecularly adsorbed in the active site of H*-Si9H12-H* to form a stable complex in the form of chemical adsorption state. Potential curves show that at 298 K, adsorption energy is -2.26kJ/mol, with respect to the chemical adsorption state, the activation barrier energy is 124.72kJ/mol, and finally the whole exothermic reaction energy is 41.4kJ/mol. After H2 half reaction, the bond length between Al-Si can be considered equal; two Al-C bonds become relatively stable molecular structure. The adsorption energy is -0.10kJ/mol at 298 K, and the activation barrier energy 189.15kJ/mol. The results show that two half-reaction process mechanism is similar, TMA endothermic reaction needs more energy to be carried out under heating conditions ; endothermic and exothermic reaction energy is basic balance, the activation energy is large, so the reaction is the best using ionized gas to be carried out.

Using FieldSpec ® 4 Hi-Res portable coverings spectrometer, we have measured the main vegetation and siol reflectance based on different habitats:Surface water swamping meadow, a seasonal water swamping beach, wet beach without of water and sandy in the little Park Lake, East of the Qinghai Lake and analyzed the spectral differences. The results show that: Soil moisture is one of the important factors that affect reflectivity. Under the premise of similar other soil properties, soil moisture and reflectivity shows a negative correlation with each other. 350-1000nm wavelength range is ideal to distinguish vegetation and soil. Due to the presence of water absorption bands, within 1000-1300nm the spectrum derivative of soil and vegetation has a strong similarity, but still can be used to identify the spectrum of vegetation and soil. In addition to sandy habitats, vegetation and soil spectrum has a strong similarity in the 1300-2500nm wavelength range, it is more tolerance translation will confuse the two bands, the spectrum has a strong similarity in the range of 1300-2500nm, so it is relatively easy to confuse the two spectrum.

This study aims to identify suitable activators for pack aluminising electroplated Ni in order to provide processing flexibility for forming Ni-aluminide/Ni hybrid coatings on creep resistant ferritic steels at temperatures below 700 °C. Experiments are made using NH4Cl, AlCl3(anhydrous), NaCl and NH4F activated packs prepared from Al and Al2O3powders. Both NH4Cl and AlCl3(anhydrous) are found to be suitable activators. NaCl may be used as an activator if the amount of Al added is sufficiently high. But, the fluoride salts cannot be used as activators in the low temperature range concerned here due to their strong tendency to deposit AlF3.

The purpose of this study was to develop a novel method to precisely measure the arc length of curving skeleton. We developed a formula by using differential equation and the arc length of bending bones can be calculated according to the chord length and height. With this method, we measured the coronal arc length of parietal bones in fetus. Our results showed that the arc length calculated using the formula was not significantly different from those obtained by manual measurements (P>0.05). We concluded that this method was simple, precise and can be used to measure the ossification length of any fetus parietal bones with less than 180o curvature or the arc length of bones in other parts of humans.

In urban river ecosystem, microorganism plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. Microbial community structure changes triggered with the river remediation progress. However, the change process in different sites from ecological remediation river has not been explored deeply before. We used polymerase chain reaction-denaturing gradient gelelectrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) to examine bacterial diversity of ecological remediated river in Changzhou City, China, and with rarely and severely contaminated rivers which from the same regions as reference. Molecular data were related to environmental parameters through multivariate analysis to investigate the relationship between potential impact of water quality and microbial community structure. As the ecological remediated river, NH3-N and TP were the important environmental variables influencing microbial community composition. After remediation, the microbial community structure showed a good consistency in each site, the microbial diversity and function were greatly improved, too.

the influence of mixing amount of mineral admixture, volume content of fine and coarse aggregate have been systematical studied on the workability, mechanical properties and volume stability of self-compacting concrete. Test results showed that with the fly ash content increased, the workability of self-compacting concrete improved significantly, early compressive strength decreased, but increase rate of later strength improved remarkably, and the mixing amount of fly ash inhibited significantly the dry shrinkage of self-compacting concrete; with the volume content of coarse aggregate increased, the workability of self-compacting concrete decreased significantly, but the volume stability of self-compacting concrete improved obviously, thus the optimum volume content of coarse aggregate of self-compacting concrete was range from 0.30 to 0.34; when the volume content of fine aggregate varied at the range of 0.40~0.50, there may be little effects on the workability of self-compacting concrete, but the increase self-compacting concretes volume content could reduce obviously the dry shrinkage of self-compacting concrete. Moreover, the variation in the volume content of coarse and fine aggregate should have slight influence on the early strength of self-compacting concrete, and the influence of the volume content variety on the later strength of self-compacting concrete could be neglected eventually.

Large scale SiC nanowires were synthesized through a rapid and low-cost microwave heating method. Silicon, silica, graphite and nickel powders were used as raw materials and catalyst, respectively, and no inert protective gas was employed during the preparation. The microstructures of the products were comprehensively characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrum (EDS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Results showed that the nanowires have lengths of several dozens of micrometers and diameters of 50nm approximately. The growth of them was governed by vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) growth mechanism. In addition, the photoluminescence (PL) and magnetic properties of the products were subsequently investigated by fluorescent photometer and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The PL spectrum, employing a Xe laser (240 nm) as an excitation source, shows an emission band centered at about 390 nm, indicating that the obtained SiC nanowires possess excellent optical property. The hysteresis loop shows big magnetic saturation (Ms) of 0.96 emu/g and small coercivity (Hc) of 37.92 Oe. So, the obtained SiC nanowires can be characterized as typical soft magnetic material, and the improvement of magnetic properties may be attributed to the existence of Ni2Si phase in the SiC nanowires.

Seat suspension is one of a most important part of a vehicle, also it significantly affects the comfortableness of cars. Compared with traditional dampers, magneto-rheological ones can achieve the condition with continuous adjustable damping force. Compared with electro-rheological fluid, magneto-rheological ones have some merits including noise defending, large damping forces and fast response etc. Based on magneto-rheological dampers, the structural parameters were calculated and characteristic test was conducted. Constant amplitude of 5mm and frequency of 1hz were applied. As the current was respectively changing, the peak of damping forces changed correspondingly. In order to figure out a model, which can illustrated the influence of damping force on current, researchers also identify the magneto-rheological dampers using support vector regression. In this paper, research related with fuzzy control of seat-suspension system has been done by using a Matlab simulation model, so as to verify the damping forces can be adjustable and it has priority on vibration attenuation.

Delayed expandable foam (DEF) is a new material that can significantly extend the range of foam curtain in electromagnetic waves interference, fire extinguishing and pollution washdown, etc. This paper studied the expansion of insoluble gas nucleus (IGN) in supersaturated solution of DEF. The radius and volume of IGN as well as DEF was calculated using double membrane model of mass transfer. Results show that the size of IGN raises steadily over time meanwhile the bulk volume of DEF is nearly invariable when both initial radius r0 and number density ψ of IGN are small enough. This is called the volume sensitivity effect. At this stage, the time delay reduces linearly with r0 and the square root of ψ. Accordingly, the time delay of DEF expansion can be adjusted by setting initial radius and number density of IGN. This research can provide theoretical basis for DEF development.

An energy model was developed based on the fuel-product concept. The matrix equation for exergy balance of regenerative system was established, and the mathematical model for exergy analysis of thermal system was structured. Exergy losses, exergy loss rate, exergy loss coefficient and exergy efficiency of the main components of a domestic N600-24.2/566/566 power plant were calculated based on this model. The results showed that the exergy efficiency of high pressure heaters are higher than that of low pressure heaters; the exergy efficiency of grade group of the intermediate pressure turbine are higher than the grade group of high pressure turbine and low pressure turbine. The exergy efficiency of the last grade group of low pressure turbine is the lowest. The exergy efficiency of the governing stage and the last grade group of low pressure turbine are 82.999% and 85.911%; the coefficient of exergy loss is maximum in the boiler (39.204%); the exergy effciency of superheater and reheater are 51.52% and 51.7%. Therefore, superheater and reheater have the largest energy conservation potential. Governing stage and low pressure turbine have more energy conservation potential.

Due to the increase of environment requirements, Fiber glass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) chimney liners are frequently used in coal-fired units. Wind and earthquake loads play an important role in the design of FRP chimney liners. Most of the engineering staff are still accustomed to accept single model, although, conjunctive model can reflect the effect of concrete cylinder on FRP liners and obtain more accurate internal forces of the liners under earthquake and wind loads. In this paper, a novel modified single model method is put forward to obtain accurate results.
