From a psychoanalytical perspective, violence against women must be approached as violence against the feminine -a Lacanian concept that goes beyond the anatomy or the man/woman dichotomy and involves different modes of jouissance. Although there have been many advances in the social and legal fields, addressing violence still demonstrates the fragility and the need for policies and rights for women. This paper is based on articulating the image and discourse resources made in the miniseries Maid to address specific topics consistent with the problem and draw implications for theory and clinic. This paper aims to develop one of the findings of the doctoral research "Representations of the body during pregnancy: the experience of the gestating body in primigravidae". The expression "gestating body" is proposed as a concept to name feminine corporal materiality where it takes place, through pregnancy, the dispute between the patriarchal ideals of femininity, women's ego ideal, and the gazes of otherness embodied by other women. This paper proposes a psychoanalytic reading of Euripides' Medea. Lacan argues that Medea is a "true woman" because her act favors the woman condition over the mother one. In this sense, Euripides' Medea is the tragedy of the ideal femininity. Placed beyond maternity, she becomes the paradigm of the woman who sacrifices having (her children) for being (woman). In Euripides' tragedy Orestes are represented the events occurred in the city of Argos after the murder of Clytemnestra. The main character of the play is the matricide Orestes, who is displayed extremely excited in the planning of a new crime, the one of Helena and her daughter Hermione. This paper aims to analyze hatred towards the woman as motivation of the plot from the psychoanalytic theory of Lacanian orientation. Contempt becomes an antecedent of the tragic action by moving from Clytemnestra towards Helena, emblematic figure of Greek mythology for being considered as the most beautiful woman. This paper aims to present the findings of the research called “On Desire in Women” and to explain the method used and the investigative pathway that took place which was carried out from Freud's theory and Lacan's teaching. Additionally, it aims to present a summary of the theoretical aspects that allowed the approach to the general issue of this work, which is to elucidate what characterizes the relationship of women with desire and to address some of the women's responses to the lack entailed in desire and that are part of the conclusions obtained. In order to discover these responses, it was necessary to delve into psychoanalytic notions and concepts such as castration, phallus, and lack in relation to women. They are developed in the research process that allows to conclude different women's responses, and specifically love as the feminine response par excellence.

The existence of female perversion was a reality recognized in German psychiatric and legal discourse in the nineteenth century, whose difference was the male perversions be exempt from legal consequences. This paper is a product of the research titled "To Love a Woman. Psychoanalytic Approach to the Impasses and Conquests of Man in the Love Field" which was oriented under this question: How does a man succeed in loving a woman? This question cannot be raised without taking into account two Lacanian syntagmas: "There is no such thing as a sexual relationship" and "There is no such thing as The woman". For that reason, the possible answers must be on the side of exception, and they do not emerge as a universal mode that would naively seek the impossible to write, i.e., the relation between the sexes. Thereby, the conclusions from this investigation point out to establish the possibilities of love encounter with a woman as a conquest that a man will fortuitously find only through his pèreversion. Este artigo é baseado na dissertação de mestrado intitulada "Há mulher na estrutura perversa?" (2012), que se propõe a discutir a existência de mulheres estruturalmente perversas de acordo com as contribuições de Freud e Lacan. Para isso, buscamos entender o conceito de mulher, feminino e feminilidade para a psicanálise assim como estudar os limites entre a perversão polimorfa e a estrutura perversa. Através destas definições, questionamos o que impossibilitaria as mulheres desmentirem a castração. // AbstractThis article is based on the thesis entitled "Is There a Woman in the Perverse Structure?" (2012) which proposes to discuss the existence of structurally perverse women according to Freud's and Lacan's contributions. For this purpose, we seek to understand the concepts of woman, feminine, and femininity in psychoanalysis as well as to study the boundaries between the polymorphic-perverse manifestation and the perverse structure. Through these definitions, we wonder what prevents a woman to deny castration.

Algunas mujeres feministas escuchadas en consulta, se encuentran con que hay un obstáculo subjetivo para ejercer los derechos que han conquistado, una investigación al respecto y publicada como libro: Feminidades, sacrificio y negociación en el tiempo de los derechos revela que más allá de los condicionamientos culturales del patriarcado, estas mujeres deben resolver un asunto con su superyó femenino para salir de este impasse. El presente artículo es una reflexión-síntesis de dicha investigación. // Some feminist women seen in consultation, find a subjective obstacles to the feminism conquest; one research about that matter and published as the book: Femininities, sacrifice and negotiation in the time of rights reveals that beyond the cultural conditioning of the patriarchy, these women have to solve an issue with their feminine superego to overcome this impasse. O artigo visa discutir, a partir dos postulados por Freud e Lacan, a possibilidade de uma angústia específica à mulher. Não há universal feminino e a posição feminina de um sujeito é referida ao modo como ele se relaciona com o gozo, isto é, situando-se do lado do gozo não-todo fálico. A questão seria então melhor formulada: haveria uma angustia específica da não-toda fálica? A angústia nas mulheres pode ser experimentada em aspectos diferentes; a angústia da mulher histérica cuja defesa é a inveja do pênis e a eternização da reivindicação fálica; a angústia da mãe que presentifica a possibilidade da perda do filho enquanto falo. Mas a angústia própria à mulher, ao não-toda fálica, é esta que tem relação direta com o S(A) com a falta no Outro, com o gozo experimentado como infinito. // The article tries to discuss, based on Freud and Lacan premises, the possibility of a specific anguish in women.
