Medicines are an essential part of our lives since they help us stay healthy, prevent illnesses, and treat disorders. This role is extended during current times, where many diseases are a broad concern, and remembering or forgetting to take a medicine could result in the difference between life and death. As such, it is essential to pay attention to the daily doses of patients and the daily doses of the ones we love. This paper suggests a solution to this problem in the form of an automatic medicine dispenser that is easily controllable through a mobile application. The major components of this medicine dispenser are Light emitting diodes or LED's, a buzzer and an Esp8266 Node MCU (Microcontroller Unit) wi-fi module, which enables the hardware and software to be connected through wi-fi. The design includes two different indicators, the light indicator, in the form of a Light Emitting Diode (LED) meant for the deaf and the sound indicator in the form of a buzzer as an indication to the blind. Once the user gets their pill, the indicators will be reset until it's time to take the medicine again. The design of this product ensures that the timing and the quantity of tablets to be taken can be administered using a mobile app, making things convenient and easy for everyone involved. Furthermore, the device will also be greatly beneficial in hospitals by taking a load off the medical staff during these hectic days. The device is simple and cost effective and the software is sturdy and reliable. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
