This paper showcases an example of how mathematics was utilized to debunk a suspected anomaly in election returns in the aftermath of the Philippine national elections last May 2022. Initial results of the automated elections yielded numbers that the public deemed suspicious. In response to a call for experts' opinions on the matter, we processed and analyzed large samples of preprocessed data to which we have been given access. Using data analytics techniques, we examined transmission arrivals of election returns and compared them against the total votes transmitted, with the analysis performed at different aggregation levels. Our analyses showed that the seemingly suspicious numbers can be explained by examining the distributions of the transmission arrivals of election returns and analyzing those distributions using different levels of aggregation. From the perspective of critical mathematics education (CME) particularly, focusing on mathematics for critical citizenship, we highlight the importance of mathematics to help fight disinformation and spread of unfounded rumors. This paper examines the usage of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in the growing smart technologies of older people. Using the theory of "Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology" (UTAUT) extended by "Protection motivation" and perceived risks, a model to determine IoMT usage was developed. A survey questionnaire from senior users in India was used to collect information from 259 older people. Empirical outcomes reveal performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, and perceived response cost determined the motivation to use IoMT for older adults. The findings also show that novelty-seeking moderates significantly the relationship between motivation and IoMT usage. This study advances the understanding of the motivators for IoMT usage among older people to engage them with smart technologies to monitor their health better. The research outcomes can be helpful to healthcare practitioners, having theoretical, practical, and social implications for building an intelligent well-being ecosystem for elderly people. In the era of network, the Internet has become an indispensable part of today's human life. With such characteristics of the era, the Internet has gradually turned into a significant channel for people to express their ideas, appeal for interests and engage in political participation. Hence, through technological advances, Chinese citizens can easily access public affairs information from the Internet anytime and express their opinions on a wide variety of network platforms instantly. However, there are still some problems with public participation in policy-making. In the past years, the population of old and elderly persons living alone has risen considerably. This has resulted in a significant rise in the need for inside medical treatment services maintaining senior citizens' independence & security. Indoor healthcare applications that use sensors to monitor the elderly silently and warn them or health experts of abnormal circumstances are becoming increasingly popular. In smart healthcare apps, automatically finding and tracking individuals as they move throughout a building is a significant function. Due to inaccuracy in indoor-based position sensing, GPS technology is inappropriate for usage in inside contexts, such as "smart home" applications. This review paper demonstrates using (Radio-frequency Identification technology) R_ID in the indoor Smart-Healthcare system to find and track the elderly population. It also keeps track of where they are and how long they stay in the same place. This lets it figure out movement models, scales, frequencies. This data is utilized to evaluate the health of the elderly and let family members or health care providers know about any possible issues.
