The paper aims to study and present the actual railway routes along the East and North Romanian border and East European Community border, with neighbors Moldova and Ukraine. In the first part of the paper, it is presented the Romanian railway classification according to national standardization regarding interoperability and also, the major opportunities that the actual geopolitical and geographical context can raise and offer to our country with few efforts made by national authorities for passenger and freight trains. The second part of the paper is allocated to the punctual railway connections that existed and exists along the eastern and northern border that can be activated and used as gates and passing points for freight trains that needs to be delivered all over the world from Ukraine and Moldova. Finally, a Romanian Railway Company modernization work for double gauge, wide gauge and normal gauge for trains with Moldova neighbor it is taken into account. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The non-destructive testing (NDT) module is an alternative instructional course developed and provided in the industry since the techniques have become more attractive in science and engineering. There is a demand to integrate the NDT instructions module into the university curriculum. This paper proposes integrating courses and other elements into the bachelor's curriculum at the universities level. The method has looked into three countries that established NDT programs at the University's level, e.g., Germany, Singapore, and Ukraine, where the guidelines from the NDT program structure were referred. The findings and concepts are different from the well-known courses offered in the private non-academic industrial company. Other than the application, it should address the development of new techniques and applications in a research-driven environment. While distorted elements of NDT are included in most programs at universities in Malaysia, it is uncoordinated. There is a close relation to topics like measuring techniques, data mining, and statistics, and the first elements of NDT can be integrated into Bachelor courses. This paper summarizes relevant scholarly articles, identifies methods and ideas, and the need for further action leads to recommendations for an NDT curriculum design. This Paper is devoted to the analytical investigation of Triple Net Zero Building energy consumption for climate conditions of Dnipro, Ukraine. The results are based on a nZEB construction literature survey, and case study. The obtained data reveal that the specific energy consumption of 9.64 kWh/m2 does not exceed the standard of the Passive House Institute of 15 kWh/m2. The energy consumption for cooling is only 0.4 kWh/m2 thanks to the use of the ventilation system with local heat recovery equipment in each room. This leads to the energy consumption of the ventilation system in the amount of 1.2 kWh/m2. The energy consumption of the building for DHW production is 8.73 kWh/m2. The energy consumption of the building for lighting is 9.69 kWh/m2. Therefore, the total energy consumption of the building will be 29.66 kWh/m2. The indicated result is approximately twice less than the maximum according to the Passive House Institute standard – 65 kWh/m2. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Railway transport takes a leading position in terms of cargo turnover among all types of transport on the the Ukrainian territories. However, the economic development focus to the market of Ukrainian transport services specifies the development of cargo transportation using several types of transport. Therefore, the analysis of intermodal cargo transportation has shown that at present they pay insufficient attention to the issues of effective implementation of these transportation types in Ukraine and the issues with regard to the transport technologies assessment remain not considered. The paper defines the level of various transport technologies with the method of expert assessment to determine the weight coefficients. The results of forming a procedure to determine the assessment of transport technologies based on the transportation costs optimization with respect to the qualimetric indicator are presented. According to the results of the carried study, a general procedure to assess the transport technologies for cargo delivery at the landfill was formed on the principles of qualimetry. The procedure, unlike existing approaches, allows taking into account a complex of factors that have influence on the choice of transport technology. A graphical representation of the choice of transport technologies clearly demonstrates the area of effective usage of each of them that makes quite clear understanding the choice of the necessary transport technology for users. The Paper considers the codification of loads due to storage products on flat-bottomed steel silos in accordance with two standards valid in Ukraine: DBN B.2.2-8-98 'Enterprises, Buildings and Structures for Storage and Processing of Grain" [1] in combination with SNiP (Construction Standards and Regulations) 2.09.03-85 'Structures of Industrial Enterprises" [2] and DSTU EN 1991-4 'Actions on Structures – Part 4: Silos and Tanks" [3]. Several components of grain loads were compared in accordance with these standards. The matter involves a horizontal pressure on the inner surface of the silo vertical wall, tangential frictional tractions on the walls, a vertical pressure in the stored solid and compressive forces in vertical stiffeners. The Paper reveals the problem of modern approaches to study, rescue and revitalization of the architectural-urban planning heritage of Ukraine, which has lost its original significance, was brought to destruction, is away from significant urban planning and social processes, and in most cases, is not studied. Today, the development of historical Ukrainian cities suffers from a number of problems that threaten both the current and future functioning of their territories and require the introduction of projects to revitalize their environment. Due to many circumstances: the lack of state policies to preserve the architectural-urban planning heritage substantiated by necessary development and financing programs, the difficult economic situation, inappropriate attitude of local administrations and lack of understanding by them about the role of the cultural heritage in civil society, a situation has currently arisen in Ukraine, where significant valuable historical objects and complexes are out of the public eye, not used properly, and are in a critical technical condition close to the emergency state. Destructive processes are especially active against the background of misunderstanding of the value, role and place of the cultural heritage sites in the process of forming a harmonious urban environment. The study shows violations of the valuable historical environment, and the detrimental effect of unsystematic interventions into the valuable historical substance of the city typical for historical cities and settlements of Ukraine. There are developed options of approaches to the revitalization process aimed at revealing the value of the city's historical environment and its preservation, and variants of harmonious coexistence of historical and modern buildings on the example of the center of the historical city of Ivano-Frankivsk (original name: Stanislaviv), which is currently in the epicenter of the so-called "construction boom" and practically loses elements of the valuable architectural-urban planning heritage almost every day. The Article examines the features of the architectural organization of ecological and energy-efficient housing in Ukraine. The interaction and interrelation of the structural system and local building materials with the form of the building are investigated. Ecological local building materials such as reeds, rye straw, clay and wood are considered in the aspect of constructive and finishing materials. This Paper analyses several projects of ecological residential block and individual houses. The main architectural-planning and three-dimensional solutions of buildings are described; the choice of basic constructions and building materials is substantiated. The thermal characteristics of structures with determination of the required thickness of heat-insulating materials are calculated; and cost and ecological characteristics of buildings are defined. The paper reveals the world trends of railways innovative activity development and on this basis establishes the gap between tendencies of innovative growth of the railway transport enterprises of Ukraine and preservation of the closed format of the implementation of their innovative activity. Given the scale of digitization processes and the fragmentary nature of the implementation of innovative changes in the railway industry, the feasibility of using such flexible strategic tools for managing innovation activities of railway transport enterprises as customization and models of open innovation has been proved. The evolution of customization in the process of ensuring the innovative development of railway enterprises and the transformation of the organization principles of their innovative activities is reflected. This is taken as the basis of the approach to strategic management of railway enterprises innovation in the implementation of digital changes in the railway industry. Scientific approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of innovative solutions in railway transport enterprises are revealed. It is proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative tools in railway transport enterprises by calculating the economic effect obtained by optimizing costs, increasing the profitability of business segments of railway enterprises and increasing the value of their business due to the implementation of innovative solutions. Proper municipal solid waste management is relevant in the context of sustainable development of modern cities. It is especially essential for developing countries. The organic fraction of municipal solid waste is significant and biodegradable. Extraction of organic matter and its composting is classified as the most preferable approaches of the strategy of sustainable management of municipal solid waste. Composting technology is characterized by its economic efficiency compared to other alternatives and is most commonly used worldwide. In Ukraine, there is no practice of municipal solid waste composting. For the first time, the pilot project on the practice of composting the organic component of municipal solid waste was introduced in Ukraine in the Lviv city. The paper presents the results of research of physical and chemical properties, agrochemical parameters and heavy metals content of the formed compost in accordance with the Ukrainian Standard of fertilizers. The use of innovative approaches to the preservation of the architectural heritage of Ukraine is an effective action that expands the possibilities of preservation and promotion of monuments and valuable objects. Digital technology is one of the modern tools to capture the state of the monument, to create a model of its reproduction both for exhibition and for further restoration or reconstruction. Such opportunities are especially relevant for the preservation of the palaces of Podillya (historical region of Ukraine) of the late 19th - early 20th century - objects large in scale and valuable in the aspect of architectural style. The article considers the advantages of using modern digital technologies in the sphere of architecture and suggests ways to apply them to palace buildings, depending on the degree of preservation of volume and architectural decoration: "3D-mapping" technology, creating a virtual reconstruction at the location, virtual reconstruction of a building with remote access. The paper presents the results of testing the method of reproduction of the original object appearance on the example of Bakhmetyev-Protasov Palace in Tymanivka, Vinnytsia region, with online access to the created model. Dairy industry is one of the key branches of food industry in Ukraine. Water supply of most milk processing enterprises is based on using uderground waters of their quality are not always agree with technologic norms: ions of heavy metal (Fe2+, Mn2+), ammonium nitrogen, dissolved organic matter, phenols. As a result of many year experiences, authors established that the main role in providing for necessary quality of water for technology needs and also for treating wastewater in milk processing enterprises belongs to biological treatment methods. The work presents the results of researches in technology including bio-reactors and filters for comprehensive treatment of uderground water under conditions of irregular changes in specific loading, filtration rate, seasonal fluctuation of their quality and air temperature. It has been determined that the usage of modern technologies of milk processing results in reduction of drinking quality water waste along with increase in concentrations of wastewater pollutions. Possibility of effective usage of big hydraulic height metal aeration tanks with surface jet aeration for highly concentrated wastewaters treatment under conditions of change of pollutants concentration, pH values and temperature was confirmed. The paper gives coverage on the providing universal design approaches in the public building design regarding the pandemic risks. It is proved that universal design principles meet the requirements of counteracting to the SARS-COV-19 pandemic. The effectiveness of their use as a way to control virus spreading is proved by practical examples. Large post-socialist standardized housing estates of living blocks typology were built under communism during the 1950-80s in every city along with the territory of the former USSR. The concept of centralized planning ideology and the amount of prefabricated large housing estates in Soviet cities solved the problem of the demand for dwellings in the post-war social situation. The contemporary living environment of large post-socialist housing estates features low quality of dwelling and territories. This paper is focused on the analysis of the actual problems, which emerged in the living environment of large-scale panel housing estates, challenges of post-socialist transition and future possibilities of urban regeneration. The research methodology is based on the case study analysis of prefabricated large housing estates in 4 Ukrainian cities. The paper presents and analyses actual problems of quality of education in the world system for training of specialists. The current state of availability of genuine problems of education quality in the global system for training of specialists in many countries, including Ukraine, was examined. A number of previously unresolved aspects of the overall problem have been defined as impeding the implementation and development of the education quality system. The primary tasks required for the implementation of the education quality system in specialist training are also examined. The key directions for developing and improving the quality system of education in specialty training are established. The Paper analyzes the possibility of using polymeric panels for road pavements. The search for constructive solutions of prefabricated polymeric panels, as well as optimal materials for road pavement structures under the conditions of Ukraine has been performed. The strength test of the designed models of polymeric road panels was carried out in Solid Works software environment. The obtained parameters of polymeric panels will allow ensuring the reliable and durable functioning of roads in difficult environmental conditions with the anthropogenic pollution. The paper is devoted to the solution of the scientific problem concerning the development of theoretical and applied principles of forming the economic policy of Ukraine in the field of energy in the context of European integration. The urgency of scientific research is due to the crisis state of the energy sector of Ukraine, the urgent need for its reformation in the conditions of integration into the European energy market. This requires finding alternative ways to solve a particular problem, one of which is the development of Ukraine's economic policy in the field of energy in the context of European integration. Despite the significant contribution of scientists to the formation of methodological bases for analyzing the energy market of Ukraine, conceptual, theoretical, methodological and methodological bases of formation of complementary economic, energy policy of the country in the conditions of European integration on the principles of harmonious development remain inadequately grounded and formed. Ensuring all spheres of the Ukrainian economy by different types of energy and fuel is one of the most important tasks of the management system, economic policy of the country, a necessary condition for its successful and harmonious development. The phenomenon of innovation and innovative activity reflects the dynamics of society, covers all areas life, carries a landmark for the future. The essence of this phenomenon requires thorough research from the standpoint of philosophical, scientific, technical, economic and socio-cultural aspects. Features of wood chips as a bulk material are considered. The works devoted to the development of the theory of bulk materials are analyzed. The types of closed storages to store wood chips are presented and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. The constructions of spiral-fold silos and their features are considered. Examples of using spiral-fold silos as a storage for wood chips are given. The experience of exploitation of spiral-fold silos on the territory of Ukraine is described. The purpose of this article is to investigate the innovative development of Ukrainian agricultural enterprises in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The article presents the organizational and economic mechanism of innovative provision of competitive development of agrarian enterprises on the basis of the Fourth Industrial Revolution through inter-sectoral integration and development of digital agriculture to stimulate the diffusion of innovations, the implementation of the program of innovative entrepreneurship in the countryside, the formation of a symbiotic-complementary system of activation of technological and managerial innovations. It is proved that the basis of organizational and economic mechanism of innovative investing is creation of favourable business environment for realization of innovation-investment projects by agricultural enterprises, stimulation of integration of scientific developments and results of strategic management into production, formation of market competitive advantages in the long run. It is proved that the development of agrarian enterprises in Ukraine occurs under the conditions of radical economic changes aimed at strengthening the economic management methods and innovative component of their functioning. The aim of such transformation is to achieve economic growth and balance of functioning; ensuring the organic combination of the interests of business entities; transformation of scientific and technological progress into the main factor of economic growth; creation of conditions for realization of consumer priority in economic relations. The article offers an expanded interpretation of the concepts of blockchain and cryptocurrency in view of their possible application in the management practice of economic entities of different levels, primarily united territorial communities (UTC). The experience of introduction of blockchain technologies in the international financial sector and the sphere of public administration in Ukraine is systematized. Global and national factors that shape the demand for the use of blockchain technology at the UTC level have been identified. It is determined that their implementation will increase the level of international attractiveness of UTC both for non-resident investors and local businesses from other regions. The advantages and risks that will accompany the introduction of these technologies in modern Ukraine have been identified. The first microsimulation model «e-Community» was developed and substantiated. It is hypothesized to minimize financial, informational and social losses through the active use of blockchain in the management of united territorial communities.
