Recently, University of Naples "Federico II" in collaboration with Lamieredil S.p.A. Company has concluded experimental study focused on the investigation the seismic behavior of strap-braced CFS structures. In particular, a series of shake-table tests were performed on two reduced-scale strap-braced building structures. The specimens were three-story, two bays, 1/3 reduced-scale, strap-braced building with different floor typologies: floor made of steel frame sheathed with OSB panels or floors made of trapezoidal steel sheets and lightweight concrete. Moreover, a 3D numerical model was also developed to simulate the earthquake response of the whole building. The present paper illustrates the main results of the shake-table testing and numerical modelling. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
