Imām Abu Bakr Al-Bazzār – may Allah have mercy on him - developed his Musnad in which he differentiated between rightful and misleading narrations (Ḥadīth). Upon distinguishing between the rightful and the problematic narrations, he stressed on the importance of authenticity of narrators, communicators and senders. His major contributions heavily emphasized on the singularity of the narrator transmitting the Ḥadīth. In this paper, the purpose is to examine those narrations and reconnoiter the singularity of narrator mentioned as to whether it is rightful or misleading, hence being problematic. Particularly, this paper critically investigates the chain of narrators in Musnad Imām Al-Bazzār who categorized the singularity of narrators as problematic due to the narrators being unknown or infamous.
