Nous concentrons ici notre attention sur la toute derniere production de Werewere Liking – Le Parler-Chanter et Medee – que nous avons traduite en italien. Auteur de pieces de theâtre, d’essais et de romans, mais aussi metteur en scene, peintre et ecrivain, elle est originaire du Cameroun et, en 1985, a fonde a Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire) un groupe de creation artistique panafricain : la communaute du Village Ki-Yi. S’agissant d’œuvres creees en vue de la representation scenique, plus aptes a etre vues que lues, nous analysons les traits essentiels de ces textes, les multiples options offertes par la traduction et surtout les resultats obtenus. This article will focus on the last theatre production of Werewere Liking – Le Parler-Chanter and Medee – that I had the opportunity to translate into Italian. Born in Cameroon and currently living in Ivory Coast, where she created a group of artists coming from all over Africa, she is not only a playwright, but also a talented essayist, stage director, novelist, and painter. The language used by the author, the multiple translation choices, and the overall quality of the translation will be discussed and analysed.

Maintes questions surgissent de l’analyse de la langue francaise dans la presse des pays francophones, en particulier de l’Afrique subsaharienne. Si dans certains cas on assiste a des creations inattendues ou a des changements revolutionnaires, dans d’autres cas on atteste une desinvolture dont les motivations sont difficiles a cerner. Il s’agit alors d’etudier la portee de cette langue seconde, et toujours officielle, pour en saisir l’evolution dans des contextes ou elle se trouve a co-exister avec des langues ethniques aux aspects multiples et varies. Apres avoir consacre une etude a la presse ivoirienne et une autre a la presse togolaise, nous voudrions analyser ici les articles des journaux burkinabe en ce qui concerne tant le lexique que la morpho-syntaxe. Ainsi, essayerons-nous de verifier quelles sont les tendances qui s’imposent a l’heure actuelle non seulement a l’interieur de ce domaine particulier, mais egalement par rapport aux recherches precedentes. Ce projet ne serait alors qu’une excuse ulterieure pour attester la vitalite et la richesse de la langue francaise en milieu francophone. Many questions arise from the analysis of French in the francophone press. In particular, this is the case of the African press. If sometimes we may find new forms and revolutionary changes, in other cases we may discover a freedom whose reasons are difficult to understand. This is the reason why we will study the importance of this second yet official language, in order to define its evolution in some contexts where it has to co-exist with other ethnical languages with multiple aspects and varieties, too. After an essay on the Ivorian press and another on the Togolese press, this third study is devoted to the lexicon and the morphosyntax of the Burkinabe press. Meanwhile, we will try to verify which trends are nowadays dominating in this particular field of study. Finally, this project illustrates the vitality and the richness of French in a French-speaking country.
