Abstract

The article reports on the 50th anniversary of the publication of the first paper on E' centers in silica and quartz with an international conference in Palermo, Italy. Professor Robert Weeks is appointed honorary chair of the conference. He authored the paper which was published in the "Journal of the American Ceramic Society".
