The United Nations Security Council has been criticized on the basis that its imposition of economic sanctions sometimes violates human rights and international law. This article examines this contention and also discusses possible remedies for people injured by economic sanctions.

Abstract

This article discusses the European Court of Justice's decisions in Waite v. Germany and Beer v. Germany, suits against the European Space Agency over labor disputes. The court ruled the agency was immune from jurisdiction and that the employees had alternative remedies available to them.
