Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Almonertinib in in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation-positive residual ground-glass opacities following resection of stage I lung cancer., Methods: A retrospective analysis of 75 patients with EGFR mutation-positive residual ground-glass opacities post-stage I lung cancer surgery was conducted at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital between January 2021 and December 2023. Patients were categorized into the control group (CG, n = 33, treated with pemetrexed and cisplatin) and the observation group (OG, n = 42, treated with Almonertinib). Cellular immune markers, tumor markers, CT nodule characteristics (size, density), malignancy risk scores before (T0) and after treatment (T1), treatment efficacy at T1, and adverse drug reactions were evaluated., Results: At T1, both groups showed an increase in CD3+ and CD4+ levels, and a decrease in CD8+ levels compared to T0. The OG group had significantly higher CD3+ and CD4+ levels and lower CD8+ levels compared to the CG group (all P < 0.05). Serum levels of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α decreased significantly in both groups at T1, with greater reductions observed in the OG group (all P < 0.05). Additionally, the OG group demonstrated a more substantial reduction in serum carcinoembryonic antigen, carbohydrate antigen 125, carbohydrate antigen 50, cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1, neuron-specific enolase, and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 levels compared to the CG group (all P < 0.05). Nodule size and density also decreased in both groups, with more significant reductions in the OG group at T1 (all P < 0.05). The Mayo and Brock model predictions indicated a significantly lower risk of malignancy at T1 in the OG group compared to T0 (all P < 0.05). The objective response rate (ORR) and disease control rate (DCR) were significantly higher in the OG group (P < 0.05), and adverse reaction rates were lower in the OG group compared to the CG group at T1 (all P < 0.05)., Conclusion: Almonertinib demonstrates good clinical efficacy and safety for the treatment of EGFR mutation-positive residual ground-glass opacities following stage I lung cancer resection., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2024.)

Objective: To analyze the clinical application value of CO 2 laser combined with 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy for periungual and plantar warts., Methods: Data from patients with periungual and plantar warts treated at Qingpu branch of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University between August 2022 and January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. After screening based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 96 patients were included and categorized into two groups according to their treatment regimens: a combination group (n=50, receiving CO 2 laser therapy and 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy) and a control group (n=46, undergoing CO 2 laser treatment alone). The two groups were compared in terms of wart scores before and after treatment, clinical efficacy, recurrence rates during follow-up, and incidence of adverse reactions., Results: During the 4th, 6th, and 8th weeks of treatment, the wart scores of patients in the combination group were significantly lower than those of the control group ( P <0.05), and at these intervals, the overall treatment efficacy in the combination group was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P <0.05). At 3-month follow-up, the recurrence rate in the combination group (2.00%) was lower than that in the control group (10.87%) ( P <0.05). At the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th weeks of treatment, the Visual Analog Scale scores in the combination group were significantly reduced compared to the control group ( P <0.05). No significant difference was found in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during follow-up ( P >0.05)., Conclusion: The application of CO 2 laser therapy combined with 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy is effective for patients suffering from periungual and plantar warts, and this combination enhances clinical outcome, mitigates pain, and reduces short-term recurrence., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2024.)

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of double filtration plasmapheresis combined with immunosuppressive agents in the treatment of severe lupus nephritis., Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical records of 102 cases of severe lupus nephritis treated between January 2021 and December 2022 in the General Practice Department at the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College. Patients who received immunosuppressive agents were included in the control group and those who received additional double filtration plasmapheresis were included in the observation group. Changes in liver and kidney function indicators, immune function indicators, disease activity, peripheral blood immunoglobulins, total albumin levels, gamma globulin levels, erythrocyte sedimentation rates (ESR), and inflammatory marker levels, and overall clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups., Results: After therapy, kidney function indicators in the observation group were lower than in the control group, while serum albumin (Alb), total albumin level, complement component 3 (C3) and C4 levels were higher (all P<0.05). Anti-double-stranded DNA antibody (ds-DNA) and white blood cell (WBC) counts in the observation group were also lower than those in the control group. Additionally, the systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index (SLEDAI) scores, the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), and ESR were lower in the observation group than those in the control group (all P<0.05). The total clinical effective rate was higher in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05)., Conclusion: The combination of immunosuppressive agents with double filtration plasmapheresis in patients with severe lupus nephritis can significantly improve liver and kidney function, enhance immune function, and reduce inflammation, demonstrating good therapeutic effects and safety., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2024.)

Objective: To investigate the effects of minimally invasive strabismus surgery (MISS) on tear film function and ocular surface status in patients with strabismus., Methods: We respectively analyzed the clinical data from 173 cases of strabismus patients treated at Xi'an First Hospital from September 2021 to March 2024. The patients were classified into a minimally invasive group (n=91, undergoing MISS) and a conventional group (n=82, undergoing traditional strabismus correction) according to their treatment plans. The general data, treatment efficacy, tear film function, ocular surface status, perioperative indicators, pain, and visual recovery were compared between the two groups. Factors affecting the patients' postoperative recovery were further analyzed according to the treatment effects., Results: The clinical efficacy of the minimally invasive group (95.6%) was significantly higher than the conventional group (68.3%). Visual recovery of the minimally invasive group was also significantly better than the conventional group ( P<0.05 ). The minimally invasive group showed superior tear film function and ocular surface health ( P<0.05 ). The visual analog scale (VAS) scores for pain were significantly lower in the minimally invasive group at different postoperative time points ( all P<0.05 ). Intraoperative blood loss was significantly lower in the minimally invasive group ( P<0.05 ), but there was no significant difference in surgical time ( P>0.05 ). Logistics analysis identified the tear secretion basal test (Slt), corneal fluorescein staining score (CFS), and treatment regimen as independent factors influencing postoperative recovery status., Conclusion: MISS effectively improves clinical outcomes in strabismus patients, preserves tear film function and ocular surface health, and promotes visual recovery. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) alone or in combination with radiotherapy or anlotinib for treating locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 72 patients with locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, divided into three groups: TACE alone (n = 20), TACE + anlotinib (TACE+AH, n = 34), and TACE + intensity-modulated radiotherapy (TACE+IMRT, n = 18). TACE was administered every 30 days. For TACE+AH, patients received 12 mg of anlotinib daily for 14 days per cycle. TACE+IMRT involved 400-500 cGy radiotherapy sessions three times weekly, with a total dose of 5000-6000 cGy., Results: No significant differences in Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance scores were observed among the groupspost-treatment. The TACE+IMRT group exhibited the highest objective response rate (ORR) (83.33%) and disease control rate (DCR) (88.89%). Progression-free survival (PFS) at 3, 6, and 12 months was also highest in the TACE+IMRT group, indicating superior outcome compared to the TACE+AH and TACE-alone groups. Independent predictors of PFS included the TACE+IMRT combination and Child-Pugh B grade., Conclusion: TACE combined with radiotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, significantly improving PFS and serving as a protective factor. Objective: To analyze the clinical effects of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) combined with arthroscopic microfracture (MF) in patients with knee cartilage injury., Methods: Eighty cases of knee cartilage injury treated in Lu'an Hospital of PKU HealthCare during July 2019 and July 2021 were selected for this study. Patients were divided into a control group (CG, treated with MF alone, n=36) and an observation group (OG, treated with MG+PRP, n=44) based on their intervention regimen. Outcomes were compared between the two groups, including Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) score, Tegner Activity Scale (TAS) score, Berg Balance Scale (BBS) score (joint balance function), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score, and Short-Form 36 Item Health Survey (SF-36) score, as well as levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, and matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-13. Furthermore, a binary logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the factors influencing treatment efficacy in patients with knee cartilage injuries., Results: The overall response rate was significantly higher in the OG than in the CG. Factors such as sex, age, disease duration, lesion location, ICRS (International Cartilage Repair Society) grade, and treatment modality did not significantly affect treatment efficacy. The OG showed elevated HSS, TAS, and BBS scores after treatment, compared to baseline and the CG. Additionally, VAS scores and levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, and MMP-13 were notably lower compared with the baseline and the CG. In terms of life quality, patients in the OG scored markedly higher in dimensions of vitality, physiological function and social function, compared to both the pre-treatment values and CG., Conclusions: PRP combined with MF outperformed MF alone in treating knee cartilage injury, which greatly improves patients' knee joint function and balance function, reduces pain, inhibits inflammation in the joint cavity, and enhances overall quality of life, with a favorable safety profile., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2024.)

Objective: To investigate the preventive effect of upper limb functional exercise on venous thrombosis in patients undergoing peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 108 patients who underwent PICC placement in Suzhou High tech Zone People's Hospital. The patients were divided into a control group (n=52) and an observation group (n=56) according to different treatment methods. The control group received upper limb functional exercise on the basis of routine treatment, while the observation group received rehabilitation exercises using an intelligent grip ball alongside the treatment administered to the control group. The incidence of catheter-related thrombosis, coagulation indicators, upper limb venous hemodynamic indicators, and compliance with functional exercise were compared between the two groups., Results: The incidence of catheter-related thrombosis was lower in the observation group compared with that in the control group (P=0.012). After treatment, improvements were observed in the coagulation indicators and upper limb venous hemodynamic indicators in both groups compared with pre-treatment levels. Moreover, post-treatment levels of these indicators were better in the observation group than in the control group (all P<0.05). The scores of the compliance questionnaire for functional exercise were higher in the observation group than those in the control group in various dimensions (all P<0.05). Lastly, patient satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P=0.032)., Conclusion: Upper limb functional exercise combined with an intelligent grip ball can reduce the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis, improve coagulation function, increase compliance with functional exercise, and improve nursing satisfaction in patients with PICCs., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2024.)

Objective: To compare the efficacy of single-visit root canal therapy (RCT) and traditional multi-visit RCT for chronic apical periodontitis in anterior teeth., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 106 patients with sinus-type anterior chronic apical periodontitis who underwent root canal treatment during March 2020 and April 2023 at Beijing Hospital of Integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. The patients were divided into an observation group (55 cases, single-visit RCT) and a control group (51 cases, traditional multi-visit RCT) according to different treatment methods., Results: There were no significant differences in the sinus tract healing at post-treatment 2 weeks, the pain incidence at post-treatment one month, or clinical composite efficacy at post-treatment 6 months between the two groups (all P >0.05). However, after 3 and 6 months of treatment, the apical projection zone was significantly reduced in both groups compared to pre-treatment areas ( P <0.05), though the difference between groups was not significant ( P >0.05). The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in gingival fluid were significantly lower ( P <0.05) while interleukin-10 (IL-10) levels were significantly higher (all P <0.05) in both groups after 6 months of treatment compared to the pre-treatment levels. Again, no significant differences were found between the two groups (all P >0.05). The operation time and treatment cost of observation group were remarkably lower than those in control group ( P <0.05)., Conclusion: For patients with chronic sinus-type anterior apical periodontitis, a single-visit RCT can achieve similar results as traditional multiple-visit RCT, but with significantly shorter operation time and less medical cost. Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of recombinant human interferon α-2b (rHuINF α-2b) gel combined with loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) conization in treating cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) with comorbid high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) infection., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 202 CIN patients with HR-HPV infection who were treated at Wuhan Yaxin General Hospital between July 2021 and February 2024. Among these patients, 106 received treatment with rHuINF α-2b gel combined with LEEP conization (study group), and the other 96 were treated with LEEP conization alone (control group). The two groups were compared in terms of efficacy on CIN, HPV clearance, vaginal bleeding duration, hospital stay and occurrence of adverse reactions. Patient prognosis within six months post-treatment was analyzed, and the risk factors affecting prognosis were analyzed through logistic regression., Results: The control group experienced notably longer vaginal bleeding duration and hospital stay than the study group (all P<0.0001). The study group showed a notably higher cure rate of CIN than the control group and presented a notably lower rate of persistent or residual CIN than the control group (P=0.0026). Six months after treatment, the total effective HPV clearance rate in the study group was greatly higher than that in the control group (P=0.0010). However, there was no insignificant difference between the two groups in the incidence of adverse reactions (P=0.4807). According to logistic regression analysis, age, grade of CIN, course of disease and treatment regimen were independent risk factors for patient prognosis., Conclusion: For CIN patients with comorbid high HPV risk infection, rHuINF α-2b gel combined with LEEP conization can effectively treat CIN, clear HPV, and shorten the duration of vaginal bleeding and hospitalization, without increasing adverse reactions. Purpose: To investigate the clinical efficacy and influence on thyroid function of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation (UGMWA) in patients with nodular goiter., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 162 patients with nodular goiter admitted to Beijing United Family Hospital and Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2021 to December 2022. According to the surgical treatment plan, they were divided into the control group (conventional surgical methods, n=78) and the experimental group (UGMWA, n=84). Thyroid function indicators, surgical time, visual analog scale (VAS) pain scores, complications, and cosmetic effects were compared between the two groups., Results: All patients recovered and were discharged after treatment. Three months postoperatively, both groups showed lower levels of free triiodothyronine (FT3) and free thyroxine (FT4) compared to pre-surgery levels, while levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) were higher. However, compared with the control group, the experimental group had higher FT3 and FT4 levels and lower TSH levels (all P < 0.05). Additionally, patients in the experimental group had shorter surgical time, less intraoperative blood loss, and lower VAS pain scores than those in the control group. Moreover, the postoperative cosmetic effect scores were higher in the experimental group than in the control group (all P < 0.05). Finally, there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups (P=0.523)., Conclusion: UGMWA for the treatment of nodular goiters can expedite surgical time, protect thyroid function, reduce postoperative pain scores, and improve cosmetic effects with certain safety., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2024.)

Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of arthroscopic outside-in suturing and all-inside suturing in the treatment of discoid lateral meniscus (DLM) injury, and to analyze the influencing factors for clinical efficacy., Methods: We retrospectively selected 30 patients with DLM injury who received arthroscopic all-inside suturing at Wuzhou Workers' Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 as the observation group. Another 30 patients who received arthroscopic outside-in suturing during the same period were enrolled as the control group. The surgical indicators, pre- and post-operative knee scores and proprioception difference of knee joint, postoperative complications and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Factors affecting clinical efficacy of patients with DLM injury were identified using Logistic regression analysis., Results: Significant differences were observed in operation time, hospital stay, blood loss and clinical efficacy between the two groups (all P <0.05); however, there was no significant difference in complications ( P >0.05). The visual analog score (VAS) scores of both groups decreased over time at 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, and 30 days post-surgery, with the observation group scoring lower than the control group (all P <0.05). At 1, 3, and 6 months after the surgery, the international knee documentation committee (IKDC), Lysholm, and Tegner scores of both groups increased over time, with the observation group scoring higher than the control group (all P <0.05). Six months post-surgery, proprioception differences at 15°, 45°, and 75° of knee flexion were significantly decreased, with greater improvements observed in the observation group ( P <0.05). Univariate analysis showed that operation time, IKDC and Lysholm scores at 6 months post-operation, postoperative complications, and suture method were factors influencing treatment outcomes in patients with DLM injury (all P <0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis identified postoperative complications as an independent risk factor for poor treatment outcome in patients with DLM injury ( P <0.05)., Conclusion: Arthroscopic all-inside suturing for DLM injury offers significant clinical benefits, including shorter operation time and hospital stay, less blood loss, and improved knee joint function with fewer complications. Objective: High doses of radiation, while effective at destroying tumor tissues, also result in radiation dermatitis (RD) at irradiated sites, which is one of the most common complications in cancer radiotherapy. Currently, no standardized protocols for the prevention and treatment of RD have been established in clinical practices, and severe RD can compromise treatment efficacy and reduce patients' quality of life. This systematic review and network meta-analysis (NMA) aims to compare the effectiveness of various interventions in preventing RD in patients., Methods: As of June 2023, four databases, including PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library, were searched, with a total of 19 interventions obtained for comparative analysis of their effectiveness in preventing RD. The Cochrane risk-of-bias tool was employed to screen literature, extract data, and appraise the quality of the studies by two researchers. Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA) was conducted utilizing StataSE 15 and R 4.2.3., Results: A total of 33 studies involving 4307 patients were included in this analysis. From the 33 studies, 19 interventions, encompassing Barrier Films and Dressings (BFD), Boron&#95;Gel, Best supportive care, Corticosteroids&#95;cream, Doxepin&#95;cream, Eau Thermale Avèn&#95;gel, Epidermal Growth Factor&#95;cream, Hyaluronan&#95;cream, Medicinal&#95;Plants, Mineral&#95;Oil, Olive oil and calcium hydroxide (OOCH), Photobiomodulation therapy, Recove&#95;cream, Silicone&#95;gel, Silver sulfadiazine (SSD), Timolol&#95;Gel, Trolamine, VitD&#95;Gel, and VitE&#95;Gel, were retrieved and compared. The NMA results indicated that Hyaluronan&#95;cream (SUCRA: 94.9%) was highly effective in preventing Grade 0/1 RD. Meanwhile, OOCH (SUCRA: 95.7%) demonstrated the most prominent effect in preventing ≥ Grade 2 RD., Conclusion: The study reveals that Hyaluronan&#95;cream and OOCH are two promising treatments for the prevention of RD in patients undergoing radiotherapy. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy and short-term prognosis of using flexible cystoscopy with percutaneous nephrolithotomy to treat complex renal stones., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with complex kidney stones treated at Gansu Provincial Hospital of TCM and Lanzhou City No. 2 People's Hospital from July 2019 to July 2022. The study divided the patients into a control group (n=95), who underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy alone, and an observation group (n=109), who received additional holmium laser lithotripsy and cystoscopy. We compared stone clearance rates at 5 days and 1 month post-surgery, analyzed patient prognosis over a year based on stone recurrence, and assessed risk factors through logistic regression. Perioperative data, changes in renal function indiex 3 days post-surgery, and complication rates were also evaluated., Results: The observation group exhibited a significantly higher stone clearance rate at 5 days post-surgery (P=0.002) compared to the control group, although no significant difference was observed at 1 month (P=0.823). The operative time was significantly shorter (P<0.001), and postoperative levels of BUA, Cys-c, and β2-BMG were lower (P<0.05) in the observation group. Additionally, treatment regimen, BMI, and STONE score were influencing factors for stone recurrence within 1 year., Conclusion: Flexible cystoscopy combined with percutaneous nephrolithotomy offers superior short-term outcomes in the treatment of complex renal stones, including enhanced stone clearance, reduced operative time, and minimized renal function impairment shortly after surgery. Objective: This retrospective study evaluated the clinical efficacy of percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy (PTED) in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation (LDH)., Methods: Data of 107 LDH patients admitted to the People's Hospital of Pingyang between July 2019 and May 2023 were analyzed retrospectively, including 51 cases treated with conventional open discectomy (control group) and 56 cases undergoing PTED (research group). We compared curative effects, operation time, intraoperative blood loss (IBL), incision length, time until ambulation, hospital stay, pre- and post-treatment pain intensity, lumbar function, and complications. Pain intensity was measured using the the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and the lumbar function was assessed by the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI). In addition, the factors influencing the efficacy in LDH patients were analyzed., Results: The research group showed a statistically higher overall efficacy (P=0.034, χ 2 =4.479), longer operation time (P=0.002, t=3.114), less IBL (P<0.001, t=29.725), earlier ambulation (P<0.001, t=8.628), shorter hospital stay (P<0.001, t=8.628), and smaller incision length (P<0.001, t=15.948) than the control group. In addition, the postoperative VAS score (P<0.001, t=5.621) and ODI score (P<0.001, t=4.909) were reduced significantly after treatment and were lower in the research group than in the control group. The research group was also associated with a significantly lower overall complication rate (7.14% vs. 21.57%; P=0.032, χ 2 =4.608), including reduced incidence of lumbar spinal mobility limitation, incontinence, postoperative infection, and cauda equina syndrome. Furthermore, age, course of disease, and treatment method were strongly associated with the treatment efficacy in LDH patients., Conclusions: PTED is more effective than conventional open discectomy for LDH treatment. Objective: This study aimed to assess the clinical efficacy of combining vacuum sealing drainage with full irrigation in managing oral and maxillofacial space infections and its impact on serum inflammatory factor levels in patients., Methods: We retrospectively analyzed data from 110 patients with oral and maxillofacial space infections treated at our hospital between February 2018 and March 2022. Among them, 50 patients underwent simple negative pressure closed drainage (control group), while 60 patients received combined full irrigation using 0.9% sodium chloride solution (observation group). We compared clinical treatment outcomes, treatment duration, antibiotic usage duration, quality of life scores, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores, changes in serum IL-6 and TNF-α levels before and after treatment, and the incidence of complications between the two groups. Additionally, we conducted an analysis of risk factors influencing patient prognosis., Results: The observation group exhibited significantly superior treatment efficacy compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Treatment and antibiotic usage durations were shorter in the observation group (P < 0.05). VAS scores after treatment were significantly lower in the observation group (P < 0.05). Serum inflammatory factors improved significantly in both groups after treatment, with a more substantial improvement observed in the observation group (P < 0.05). Post-treatment quality of life was significantly higher, and the incidence of complications was lower in the observation group (P < 0.05). Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Stanozolol combined with Cyclosporine A for treatment of aplastic anemia and its influence on cytokine levels., Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of 90 patients with aplastic anemia treated in Department of Hematology, Shandong Provincial Third Hospital from July 2019 to July 2022. According to the different treatment methods, these patients were assigned into a control group and an observation group, with 45 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with Stanozolol alone, while those in the observation group were treated with the combination of Stanozolol and Cyclosporine A. Patients in both groups were treated for six months continuously. The indicators in terms of therapeutic effect, drug onset time, cytokine levels, quality of life, and adverse reactions were recorded and compared between the two groups., Results: After treatment, the total response rate in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group (91.11% vs. 71.11%, P<0.05). The drug onset time in the observation group was shorter than that in control group (42.35±3.68 vs. 68.72±5.49, P<0.05). In contrast to the control group, the observation group exhibited significantly decreased levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), C-reactive protein (CRP), and interleukin-2 (IL-2), and an increased level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) after treatment, with significant differences (all P<0.05). The QLQ-C30 scores in the observation group were significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Objective: To find out if systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) has the potential to determine the clinical efficacy of TNF-α inhibitors in treating rheumatoid arthritis (RA)., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted in 154 RA patients who were treated from January 2021 to January 2023. The patients were grouped, based on their treatment response, into ineffective (32 cases) and effective (122 cases) groups. Univariate analysis was conducted to evaluate the clinical data, test indicators, and functional scores. Lasso regression was employed to identify factors impacting patient outcomes. Predictive utility of these factors was assessed via receiver operating characteristic curves, and differences were evaluated using the DeLong test., Results: No significant difference was identified in age, gender, disease duration, and other clinical parameters between the two groups (P>0.05). The effective group exhibited lower pre-treatment counts of neutrophils, lymphocytes, as well as SII, C-reactive protein (CRP), rheumatoid factor (RF), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), but higher platelet count (P<0.01). Lasso regression found that neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, SII, CRP, RF, and ESR were associated with the treatment efficacy (P<0.05). Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Shu Fu Pai ® Protein Short Peptides Beverage in the treatment of hypoalbuminemia in liver cirrhosis., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 289 patients with liver cirrhosis and hypoalbuminemia who were admitted to Deyang People's Hospital between April 2021 and April 2023. Among them, 148 patients treated with Shu Fu Pai ® Protein Short Peptides Beverage were assigned as an observation group and 141 patients treated with intravenous human albumin were the control group. Liver function, coagulation function before and after treatment, and complications after treatment were compared between the two groups. The patients whose albumin levels did not increase after treatment were counted, and the influencing factors were analyzed using univariate and multivariate analyses., Results: After treatment, there was a significant improvement in liver function, serum albumin level, Child-Pugh score, inflammatory markers, and coagulation function in both groups (all P=0.001). However, no significant difference was found in the peripheral blood indicators between the two groups (P>0.05). Also, there was no significant difference in complications between the two groups (P=0.194). Logistic regression analysis showed that age, pre-treatment serum albumin level, disease type, and abnormal liver function markers were independent factors affecting the treatment outcome of hypoalbuminemia, and treatment regimen was not an influencing factor., Conclusion: Shu Fu Pai ® Protein Short Peptides Beverage for hypoalbuminemia in liver cirrhosis is not inferior to intravenous human albumin for improving liver function, inflammatory markers, and coagulation function. Objective: To analyze the effects of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) combined with levofloxacin (0.1 g, twice daily) and tamsulosin (0.2 mg, once daily) on clinical efficacy and serum factors in patients with chronic prostatitis (CP)., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 105 patients with CP who received treatment at Hangzhou Lin'an District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2020 to December 2022. Among them, 47 patients received levofloxacin and tamsulosin were included in a drug group (DG), and 58 patients received additional TENS therapy (frequency: 1/4/1 Hz+80/120/80 Hz; pulse width: 270/230/270 μs+120/80/120 μs; waveform: square and continuous waveforms) were included in a joint group (JG). The changes in the National Institutes of Health chronic prostatitis symptom index (NIH-CPSI), international prostate symptom score (IPSS), and the levels of inflammatory and pain-causing factors were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups after treatment. Moreover, the incidence of adverse reactions was compared between the two groups., Results: After treatment, the scores of NIH-CPSI and IPSS, and the levels of IL-6, CRP, TNF-α, IL-1β, 5-hydroxytryptamine, substance P, and dynorphin in the JG were obviously lower than those in the DG (P<0.001). The clinical response rate in the DG was obviously lower than that in the JG (P=0.006, Table 2). Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Shixuan and Qiduan blood-letting therapy combined with Master Tung's Five-tiger Point (11.27) Scraping for patients with hematological malignancy and peripheral neuritis., Methods: A total of 70 patients with hematological malignancy who were admitted to Langfang TCM Hospital between January 2020 and December 2022 for treating chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuritis were enrolled retrospectively. The patients were divided into a single treatment group that received western nutritional interventions alone, and a combined treatment group that underwent additional Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Shixuan and Qiduan blood-letting therapy, along with Master Tung's Five-tiger Point (11.27) Scraping. Statistical analyses were carried out to compare the clinical efficacy of the two treatment plans in the patients. Scores of sensory disturbance rating (SDR), numeric rating scale (NRS) for pain, nail fold microcirculation (NFM) of the infected extremity, and the quality of life (QoL), as well as the motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) of the median and peroneal nerves of patients in both groups were recorded and compared before and after treatment. The incidence rate of adverse events was compared between the two groups. Furthermore, the clinical outcomes of patients in the two groups were followed up and analyzed for correlated factors using univariate and multivariate analyses., Results: The clinical efficacy rate achieved by the combined therapy was 88.57%, significantly higher than 68.57% for patients undergoing single therapy (P=0.041). Moreover, the scores of SDR, pain NRS, QoL, and NFM of the affected extremity, as well as the MNCV and SNCV of patients in the two groups were all improved after treatment, with better improvements in the combined treatment group than in the single treatment group. The incidence rate of adverse events was higher in the single treatment group compared to that of the combined treatment group (17.14% vs. 11.42%) (P=0.466). In addition, during the six-month follow-up period, a total of 27 patients in both groups developed chronic neural disorders. Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of intravenous thrombolysis with recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator (rt-PA) for acute ischemic stroke., Methods: A total of 76 patients with acute ischemic stroke admitted to the Encephalopathy Dept. of Zhecheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between February 2021 and June 2022 were recruited in this prospective trial (ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03884410) and patients were randomized 1:1 to receive either aspirin plus clopidogrel (control group) or aspirin plus clopidogrel and rt-PA intravenous thrombolytic therapy (experimental group), with 38 cases in each group. The treatment efficiency, National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) scores, daily living ability, coagulation function, serum Lipoprotein-associated phospholipaseA2 (Lp-PLA2), homocysteine (HCY), hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) levels, adverse events, and prognosis were evaluated and compared between the two groups., Results: Intravenous thrombolysis with rt-PA resulted in a better treatment outcome of patients versus aspirin plus clopidogrel (P<0.05). Patients with rt-PA exhibited better improvement in neurological function than those with aspirin plus clopidogrel, as shown by the lower NIHSS scores (P<0.05). Intravenous thrombolysis with rt-PA resulted in a better quality of life of patients than aspirin plus clopidogrel, indicated by the higher Barthel Index (BI) levels (P<0.05). The lower von Willebrand factor (vWF) and Factor VIII (F) levels indicated better coagulation function of patients with rt-PA versus those with aspirin plus clopidogrel (P<0.05). The lower serum concentrations of Lp-PLA2, HCY, and hsCRP suggested patients with rt-PA had milder inflammatory responses versus those without rt-PA (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events in the two groups (P>0.05). Objective: To study the clinical efficacy of different doses of rosuvastatin to treat elderly patients with senile coronary heart disease and hyperlipidemia., Methods: By means of retrospective analysis, 150 elderly patients with coronary heart disease and hyperlipidemia who were treated in Zhangjiakou First Hospital from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into three groups (50 patients in each group) according to the different treatment methods. All patients were given routine treatment for coronary heart disease and hyperlipidemia. At the same time, group A got 5 mg of rosuvastatin calcium per day, group B got 10 mg and group C got C, 20 mg. After 4 months of continuous treatment, changes of blood lipid level, inflammatory factors, and cardiac function in the three groups were compared before and after treatment. Finally, the incidence of adverse reactions in the three groups was statistically compared., Results: After 4 months of treatment, the levels of TC, LDL, and TG in group B were significantly lower than those of group A, and the levels of HDL were significantly higher than those in group A (P<0.05). There was no significant difference of the above indicators between groups B and C after 4 months of treatment (P>0.05). Using 2 months, 3 months, and 4 months of therapy as time points, the blood lipid levels of the B and C groups was lower than in group A (P<0.05); Serum hs-CRP and TNF of patients in group B and group C after 4 months of treatment were significantly lower than those of group A (P<0.05); The LVEF comparison between groups showed that C was higher than A (P<0.05); The occurrence rate between adverse reactions during the 4 months of medication did not have statistical significance (P>0.05)., Conclusion: Rosuvastatin calcium canimprove the clinical symptoms of elderly patients with coronary heart disease complicated by hyperlipidemia, and can improve the blood lipid level, cardiac function and the level of inflammatory factors in the body, but the clinical effect is not significantly improved by increasing the application dose. Objective: To identify the effect of hyperbaric oxygen combined with folic acid on clinical efficacy and cognitive function in patients with cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD), and to analyze the risk factors affecting efficacy., Methods: Data from 108 elderly patients with CSVD (homocysteine (Hcy) > 10 μmol/L) treated in The First Hospital of Yulin from February 2019 to February 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 50 patients treated with folic acid were set as the control group (CG), and the remaining 58 patients treated with additional hyperbaric oxygen therapy were in the study group (SG). Clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups after treatment, and changes in Hcy level before and after treatment were observed. Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was used to compare the improvement of cognitive function between two groups. According to the efficacy after treatment, patients with markedly effective and effective responses were set as the improved group, and patients with ineffective response as the unimproved group. Risk factors affecting the efficacy of the patients were analyzed by logistic regression. Also, changes in quality of life (assessed by activities of daily living (ADL) scale) before and after treatment as well as the incidence of adverse reactions after treatment were and compared between groups., Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference identified in MoCA scores, plasma Hcy levels, or ADL scores between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, scores of MoCA and ADL increased and plasma Hcy level decreased in both groups, and the changes in the SG were more significant than those in the CG (P < 0.05). Additionally, no notable difference was observed in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Logistic regression analysis revealed that hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes were risk factors affecting the efficacy., Conclusion: Hyperbaric oxygen combined with folic acid can effectively improve cognitive function and quality of life, and reduce Hcy level in patients with CSVD. Objective: This study was designed to investigate the clinical efficacy of azithromycin combined with ambroxol in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP)., Methods: The clinical data of 103 children with MPP treated in Fuyang District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hangzhou from December 2020 to August 2021 were selected and retrospectively analyzed, and these children were divided into a control group (n=51, azithromycin treatment) and a study group (n=52, azithromycin plus ambroxol treatment) according to the different treatment methods. The immunoglobulin level, pulmonary function score, treatment efficacy, serum cytokine level, disappearance time of signs and symptoms, and myocardial enzyme indices were observed and compared between the two groups. Univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted to screen the factors affecting the prognosis of MPP patients., Results: After treatment, the study group showed significantly lower levels of immunoglobulin E, immunoglobulin G, immunoglobulin M and immunoglobulin A; higher pulmonary function scores, and lower levels of interleukin-6, human interferon-gamma, and monocyte chemoattractant protein-4 compared with the control group (all P < 0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions such as nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting was 15.38% in the study group, which was slightly lower than that in the control group (17.65%), exhibiting no significant difference ( P > 0.05). The disappearance time of cough and lung rales, time required to restore to a normal body temperature, and hospital stay in the study group were shorter than those in the control group ( P < 0.05). After treatment, aspartate aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, and creatine kinase isoenzyme in the study group were lower than those in the control group (all P < 0.05). Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of autologous fascial urethral suspension on female stress urinary incontinence and analyze the risk factors affecting the therapeutic effect., Method: The clinical data of 89 female patients with stress urinary incontinence treated in our hospital from February 2018 to February 2020 were retrospectively analyzed (training group). Another cohort of 45 patients treated in Xi'an Gaoxin Hospital from March 2020 to March 2021 were retrospectively enrolled as the validation group. Surgery-related parameters (including operation time, intraoperative blood loss, indwelling time of catheter, and hospital stay) were recorded. The scores of the urinary incontinence questionnaire short form (IC-IQ-SF), urinary incontinence quality of life questionnaire (I-QOL), and pelvic organ prolapse/urinary incontinence sexual function questionnaire (PISQ-12) were compared before and after the operation. The clinical efficacy of the treatment was counted. The risk factors affecting the treatment efficacy were analyzed. The efficacy prediction model was established by logistics regression equation and verified by the data from the validation group., Results: After the treatment, the urine leakage score, urine leakage score quality of life score, and the total score were evidently reduced compared with those before the treatment (P < 0.05). Patients' I-QOL score and PISQ-12 score increased significantly after the treatment (P < 0.05). Multivariate logistics regression analysis revealed that age, BMI, history of pelvic surgery, and length of hospital stay were risk factors affecting the outcome of patients (P < 0.05). The ROC curve analysis revealed that the area under the curve of the efficacy score in predicting the treatment efficacy was 0.828, and that in the validation group was 0.895., Conclusion: The treatment effect of autologous fascia urethral suspension in female patients with stress urinary incontinence was significant. Purpose: To analyze the clinical efficacy of intravitreal injection of Conbercept (IVC) combined with micropulse laser (MPL) therapy in the treatment of diabetic macular edema (DME)., Methods: In this retrospective study, we selected 64 DME patients who visited the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province between February 2019 and February 2021 for analysis. Based on different intervention methods, 31 cases treated with IVC were included as a control group (the Con group) and 33 cases with IVC + MPL combination therapy were in a research group (the Res group). Data on curative effects, injection frequency, pre- and post-treatment best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and central macular thickness (CMT), visual field gray value, 30° visual field average light threshold sensitivity, and mean visual field defect (VFD) were collected for inter-group comparisons. Further, Cox multivariate regression analysis was performed to identify factors affecting the curative efficacy of DME patients., Results: Compared with the Con group, the Res group had a higher total response rate and a lower injection frequency. In addition, higher BCVA and lower CMT were determined in the Res after 6 months of treatment. Moreover, Res group exhibited statistically lower visual field gray value and mean VFD, as well as higher 30° visual field average light threshold sensitivity than the Con at 1 month postoperatively. All the above differences were statistically significant. According to the Cox multivariate regression analysis, treatment modality was the influencing factor for the efficacy of DME patients., Conclusions: IVC + MPL have better clinical efficacy than IVC alone for DME. Objective: To observe the effect of autologous platelet-rich plasma combined with sodium hyaluronate on clinical efficacy and serum inflammatory factor levels in patients with knee osteoarthritis., Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on a total of 99 knee osteoarthritis patients who underwent arthroscopic surgery after failed conservative treatment in No. 215 Hospital of Shaanxi Nuclear Industry from January 2019 to January 2022. Among them, 45 patients treated with only sodium hyaluronate injection after arthroscopic debridement were grouped as the control group (CG), and 54 patients treated with platelet-rich plasma combined with intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate after arthroscopic debridement were the observation group (OG). Visual analogue scale/score (VAS) and Lysholm knee scale (LKS) were used to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect before and 5 weeks after treatment, and ELISA was to detect the changes of matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels in the serum of patients before and 5 weeks after treatment. Risk factors affecting patient outcomes were analyzed by logistic regression., Results: Compared to theCG, the improvement of clinical efficacy in the OG was higher (P < 0.05), as well as its LKS score, while the VAS score after treatment in OG was markedly lower (P < 0.05). After treatment, MMP-3, IL-1β, hs-CRP, and TNF-α in the OG were significantly lower than those in the CG (P < 0.05). Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of betahistine hydrochloride tablets in patients with vertebrobasilar insufficiency vertigo (VBIV)., Methods: A total of 133 patients with vertigo caused by vertebrobasilar insufficiency treated in The First People's Hospital of Shangqiu City from March 2019 to August 2021 were selected and analyzed retrospectively. Among them, 63 patients treated with flunarizine tablets were seen as the control group (CG), and 70 with flunarizine tablets combined with betastine hydrochloride tablets were considered as the observation group (OG). Objective: To investigate the short-term and long-term efficacy of magnetotherapy and pediatric massage in the treatment of infantile colic., Methods: A total of 120 neonates with sudden onset crying, bloating, and breast refusal who met the diagnostic criteria for colic were retrospectively enrolled from September 2019 to September 2021. They were divided into a combination group, a magnetotherapy group, a pediatric massage group, and a control group based on different treatment methods (n=30 in each group). All cases were provided with conventional nursing., Results: The short-term efficacy of the combination group was significantly better than that of the control group. The difference was not statistically significant among combination, magnetotherapy, and pediatric massage groups ( P >0.05). In the long-term efficacy assessment, the total effective rate was 96.67% in the combination group, 93.33% in the magnetotherapy group, 86.67% in the pediatric massage group, and 93.33% in the control group. There was no significant difference among the groups ( P >0.05). Neonates in the combination group had the shortest crying relief time and the longest sleep duration after relief. This was followed by the magnetotherapy and the pediatric massage groups ( P <0.05). Neonates in the control group had longer crying relief time and shorter sleep duration after relief than those in the combination group ( P <0.05). From day 2 to day 7 of intervention, the pain level of the combination group was decreased significantly. Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of unified discharge standards on the clinical efficacy and prognosis of hemiarthroplasty in elderly patients with hip fractures., Methods: Retrospective study of 158 elderly patients with hip fractures who underwent artificial femoral head replacement in our hospital from March 2016 to July 2019 were enrolled. According to the unified discharge standards, patients were divided into the observation (65 cases who met discharge criteria) and control group (93 cases who failed to meet all discharge criteria). Histopathological feature, operation status, postoperative Harris Hip score, therapeutic outcome, postoperative complications, readmission and mortality rate were compared between the two groups., Results: Surgery duration and intraoperative blood loss exhibited no difference between the two groups, while transfusion volume and length of hospital stay were significantly increased in the observation group. There was no significant difference in the Harris Hip score between the two groups 12 months postoperatively. The incidence of postoperative complications during the follow-up period was notably lower in the observation group. Objective: The aim of this study is to demonstrate if dental implant restoration can improve the clinical efficacy, masticatory function and comfort in patients with dentition defects., Methods: The clinical data of 90 patients with single tooth loss treated in Yuyao People's Hospital of Zhejiang Province from May 2018 to May 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were enrolled and divided into two groups. The control group (CG; n=45) was intervened by traditional fixed partial denture (FPD) restoration, and the observation group (OG; n=45) was treated with dental implant restoration. The clinical efficacy was evaluated, and amelioration of tooth-related indexes and clinical indicators 2 years after treatment were observed. Objective: To analyze the effect of comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) care on the clinical efficacy and psychological improvement of elderly patients with knee arthritis., Methods: Retrospective analysis was conducted on 114 patients with knee osteoarthritis who underwent arthroscopic minimally invasive surgery in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2022. Among them, 55 patients received routine nursing served as the control group (CG), and the remaining 59 patients received comprehensive TCM care as the observation group (OG). Patients were re-examined two weeks after discharge from the hospital, and the knee joint function recovery effect, pain score, nursing satisfaction, as well as the changes in adverse mood, hospitalization expenses and length of hospitalization during the treatment were compared between two groups. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify factors affecting the curative effect of patients., Results: Compared with the CG, the OG held a significantly better clinical efficacy and lower knee joint score and visual analogue scale (VAS) score (P<0.05). After intervention, the OG showed markedly higher SF-36 score as well as notably declined scores of anxiety and depression than the CG (P<0.05). Quadriceps peak torque ratio (H/Q), as well as satisfaction of patients on nursing in the OG was comparatively better than those of the CG (P<0.05). For hospitalization costs and length of stay, the OG has proven to be more economical and effective with lower cost in both two indexes (P<0.05). Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy and possible mechanism of butylphthalide in treatment of acute ischemic stroke., Methods: In this retrospective study, 127 patients with ischemic stroke, hospitalized during Jan. 2019 to Jan. 2021, were enrolled and as assigned to observation group (n=65) and control group (n=62) according to treatment methods. The control group received routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with butylphthalide injection in addition to conventional cure. The treatments lasted for 2 weeks in both groups. Subsequently, the recovery of neurological deficits (NIHSS) and Barthel index (BI) of the two groups of patients, cerebrovascular vascular reserve function (CVR) values and pulsation index (PI) before and after treatment, and the levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and recombinant basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) were detected. The expression of Keap1-Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway related molecules was detected by ELISA., Results: The overall response rate (ORR) of observation group was remarkably superior to that of control group ( P<0.05 ). NIHSS score obviously decreased while BI remarkably increased in both groups after treatment (all P<0.05 ); and the observation group showed an significantly higher BI score but significantly lower NIHSS score compared with the control group (all P<0.05 ). The CVR of the two groups of patients after treatment was significantly higher than that before treatment ( P<0.05 ), while PI was significantly lower than before treatment ( P<0.05 ); The CVR of observation-group after treatment was substantially higher than that of control-group ( P<0.05 ), while PI was lower than control-group ( P<0.05 ). Serum Keap1 levels of the two groups of patients after treatment were significantly higher than that before treatment ( P<0.05 ), while serum levels of NQO1, Nrf2, and ARE were significantly lower than that before treatment (P<0.05). The serum level of Keap1 in the observation group was remarkably higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05 ), while the serum levels of NQO1, Nrf2 and ARE were evidently lower than those in the control group ( P<0.05 ). The two groups had insignificant difference in incidence of adverse reactions ( P>0.05 )., Conclusion: The butylphthalide can effectively improve the clinical efficacy of acute ischemic stroke, and promote patients' neurological function and activities of daily living. The mechanism may be that butylphthalide improves the CVR of patients, enhances the establishment of collateral compensatory vessels, and changes the expression of the Keap1-Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway, thereby exerting the neuroprotective effect. Objective: To explore the difference in clinical efficacy and safety of transvaginal and transumbilical single port laparoscopy for endometrial cancer., Methods: We retrospectively included 100 endometrial cancer patients who were admitted to the Fuzhou Second Hospital for surgical treatment from September 2020 to September 2021 and divided them into two groups according to different surgical treatment options. Patients in Group A (48 cases) were treated with transvaginal natural endoscopic surgery (TNES), and those in Group B (52 cases) were with transumbilical single port laparoscopic surgery (TSPLS). The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, time to postoperative exhaust, length of hospital stay, pelvic lymph node dissection, and incision infection rate of two groups were compared. The white blood cell count (WBC), hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct) of the two groups of patients before and after the surgery were compared between the two groups, as well as th VAS score of 24 hours after the operation, rate of complications during hospitalization, satisfaction with surgery and quality of life 3 months after surgery., Results: Compared with Group B, the operation time and intraoperative blood loss of Group A patients were markedly increased. The time to postoperative exhaust, length of hospital stay, incision infection rate, VAS score at postoperative 24 h, and complication rate of Group A were significantly lower than that of Group B. Objective: To investigate and analyze the immune regulatory effect of Shenfu-Injection (SFI) on patients with burn-injured sepsis by monitoring the serum level of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) and von Willebrand factor (vWF)., Methods: In this retrospective study, the Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE II) score, Marshall score, peripheral blood T lymphocyte count, and NK cell concentration, levels of cytokines such as HMGB-1, and vWF in peripheral blood before and after treatment in patients from the control group (convention treatments, n=51) and the observation group (convention treatments plus SFI treatment, n=57) were analyzed. The prognosis of the two groups of patients at 28 days was analyzed and compared., Results: After treatment, APACHE II score, Marshall score, IL-6, CPR, HMGB-1, and vWF in patients from the two groups decreased greatly when compared with those before the treatment (P<0.05). The APACHE II score, Marshall score, IL-6, CPR, HMGB-1, and vWF in the group for observation were significantly lower (P<0.05) than those in the control group. Concentrations of CD3 + , CD4 + , and NK cells in these two groups after 7 days of treatment were greatly higher than those before the treatment (P<0.05). Concentrations of CD3 + , CD4 + , and NK cells in the observation group were higher than those in the control group after treatment (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in terms of mortality between these two groups after 28 days (P<0.05). Objective: To determine the clinical efficacy and safety of urinary Kallindinogenase (HUK) combined with butylphthalide (NBP) in the treatment of progressive cerebral infarction (PCI), to provide more choices for the clinical treatment of PCI., Methods: The clinical data of 94 with PCI admitted to our hospital from July 2015 to March 2017 were retrospectively analyzed in this study. In addition to basic treatment, the control group (n = 52) was treated with NBP and edaravone. The research group (n = 42) was treated with NBP and HUK. After 14 days of treatment, the clinical efficacy on the two groups was evaluated according to their neurological function deficit using the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). The functional recovery results after the stroke were measured using the Modified Rankin Scale (MRS). The independence rate of the two groups was compared. The activities of daily living (ADL) scale was adopted to evaluate the patients' life quality. The two groups were compared in the incidence of complications during treatment and the recurrence within 12 months., Results: The two groups of patients were not greatly different in basic data. After 14 days of treatment, the improvements in NIHSS, MRS, and ADL scores in the research group were more obvious than those in the control group. After 12 months of treatment, the research group showed a significantly higher independence rate than the control group. No serious adverse reactions were found in the two groups. There was no death during the treatment. After 12 months of treatment, the two groups were not greatly different in recurrence rate., Conclusion: HUK combined with NBP can reduce the neurological dysfunction and disability rate of patients and improve their independence rate and life quality. Objective: To determine the clinical efficacy of aspirin combined with labetalol on gestational hypertension (GH) and its influence on serum pregnancy associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A), adiponectin (APN), and high mobility group box-1 (HMGB1)., Methods: A total of 146 patients with GH admitted to the Zibo Central Hospital between April 2018 and January 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. The control group (Con group, n=71) was treated by labetalol monotherapy, and on this basis, the research group (Res group, n=75) was additionally given aspirin. The following criteria of the 2 groups were evaluated: total effectiveness rate, incidence of adverse reactions, blood pressure-associated indices, coagulation function-associated indices, changes in serum PAPP-A, APN, and HMGB1 levels, adverse maternal and infant outcomes, and neonatal Apgar score., Results: After therapy, the Res group showed a notably higher total effective rate than the Con group, with no remarkable difference in the incidence of adverse reactions. Additionally, compared to the Con group, the Res group showed notably lower systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP), greatly improved coagulation function, significantly lower levels of serum PAPP-A and HMGB1, and significantly higher level of serum APN. Moreover, the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes in the Res group was much lower than that in the Con group after therapy, and the one- and five-min Apgar scores of neonates in the Res group were both notably higher than those in the Con group after delivery., Conclusion: For patients with GH, aspirin combined with labetalol can effectively control blood pressure, improve coagulation function and clinical efficacy, lower serum PAPP-A and HMGB1, and increase serum APN, and ameliorate maternal and infant outcome., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2021.)

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of nalmefene combined with noninvasive positive-pressure mechanical ventilation (NIPPV) on elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) complicated with type II respiratory failure and to explore its influence on TGF-β1/Smads signaling pathway., Methods: In this retrospective study, data of 106 COPD patients with type II respiratory failure were collected and divided into a research group and a control group based on different treatment, with 53 cases in each group. Both groups were given NIPPV. Besides, the control group was treated with conventional therapy and the research group was treated with nalmefene for 7 days. The changes of heart rate, respiratory rate, clinical efficacy, pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP), serum inflammatory parameters, levels of TGF-β1/Smads signaling pathway related molecules and the incidences of adverse reactions of both groups were compared., Results: After treatment, the heart rate, respiratory rate, PAP, IL-6 and TNF-α concentrations in both groups were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05). The levels of PaO 2 and SaO 2 were higher and the levels of PaCO 2 were lower than those before treatment in both groups (P<0.05). The expression levels of TGF-β1 and Smad2 in the research group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). And all the above indicators in the research group were better than those in the control group after treatment (P<0.05). Radial head fractures (RHFs) occur most frequently among all elbow fractures. Current treatments pose several limitations for the Mason type II radial head fractures. This study was performed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of a new minimally invasive treatment for Mason type II radial head fractures using intramedullary fixation with double titanium elastic nails. Between January 2018 and December 2019, our group used double titanium elastic intramedullary nails as a minimally invasive treatment for 32 cases of Mason II type radial head fractures. After the treatments, we summarized and conducted a retrospective analysis to evaluate the surgical operation itself, the quality of the fracture reductions, the fracture healing, and any complications. The Mayo elbow function scores (MEPS) and the visual analog scale (VAS) pain scores were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy of this approach. All the patients recovered from their surgeries without any complications. We followed all the cases for an average of 12 months. The elbow extension range of motion was 5 degrees (range: 0-15 degrees), the elbow flexion range of motion was 140 degrees (range: 135-146 degrees), and the average forearm pronation range of motion was 84.1 degrees (range: 78-90 degrees). The average forearm supination range of motion was 80.4 degrees (range: 75-85 degrees). All the fractures healed (a 100% healing rate), the MEPS score was 96.7 (range: 85-100), and the MEPS ratings of excellent and good were both 100%. The VAS pain scores ranged from 0-1. The minimally invasive treatment of Mason type II radial head fractures using intramedullary fixation with double elastic nails proved to be a simple approach with a relatively short operation time. Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of thoracoscopic surgery by subxiphoid approach for patients with thymoma and its influence on intraoperative blood loss and postoperative complications., Methods: From January 2019 to January 2020, 90 patients who underwent thoracoscopic surgery were enrolled and evenly divided into a control group receiving surgery by lateral thoracic approach and an experimental group adopting the subxiphoid approach according to different surgical approaches, and their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical efficacy, perioperative indexes, postoperative complications, pulmonary function, and inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups. Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74 (GQOLI-74) was used to assess the quality of life of the patients before and after surgery, and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) was used to assess their mental state. The Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) was used to evaluate the postoperative pain of the two groups., Results: After treatment, the total clinical effectiveness rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The experimental group obtained superior results in perioperative index and fewer postoperative complications compared with the control group (P<0.05). Better performance of FEV1 and FVC was observed in the experimental group than the control group (P<0.05). The experimental group had significantly higher postoperative GQOLI-74 scores (P<0.001) and MMSE scores (P<0.05) than the control group. Lower levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and lower NRS scores at 12 h and 24 h after surgery were witnessed in the experimental group compared to the control group (P<0.05)., Conclusion: For patients with thymoma, the thoracoscopic surgery by subxiphoid approach is safe and effective, and can reduce the intraoperative blood loss and postoperative complications., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2021.)

Objective: To investigate the treatment of high complex anal fistula with time-scheduled dotted and solid thread-ligating therapy combined with vacuum sealing drainage., Methods: A retrospective cohort study of 80 patients with high complex anal fistula admitted to the anorectal department of our hospital was conducted. The patients in the control group (n=40) were treated with traditional incision thread-ligating therapy, while the patients in the observation group (n=40) were treated with time-scheduled dotted and solid thread-ligating therapy combined with vacuum sealing drainage. The postoperative wound healing time, clinical efficacy, postoperative pain scores as well as pre- and postoperative anal function and anorectal pressure of patients in the two groups were observed., Results: The observation group had a shorter wound healing time (P<0.001), lower postoperative pain scores (P<0.05), a lower increase of Wexner score (P<0.001), a higher total effective rate (97.50% vs. 90.00%; P>0.05), a higher anal maximal contraction pressure and a larger high pressure zone than the control group (P<0.05). Compared with those before operation, the Wexner scores of patients in the two groups after operation were increased, while the anal maximal contraction pressure and high pressure zone in the control group were decreased (P<0.001)., Conclusion: The treatment of complex high anal fistula with time-scheduled dotted and solid thread-ligating combined with vacuum sealing drainage has short wound healing time, high efficiency, and little influence on the postoperative function of anal sphincter. Objectives: We explored and analyzed the effect and masticatory function of ultrasonic subgingival curettage combined with rinsing and gargling of Xipayi gingival rinse on patients with moderate to severe chronic periodontitis., Methods: We selected 98 patients with moderate to severe chronic periodontitis admitted to our hospital, and randomly divided them into observation group and control group (n=49 in each group). The control group was treated with ultrasonic subgingival curettage. The observation group received ultrasonic subgingival curettage with Xipayi gingival rinse, and continued to use-Xipayi gingival rinse for 4 weeks. The changes of periodontal index, inflammatory degree of gingival crevicular fluid, occlusal and masticatory efficiency before and after treatment were compared., Results: The periodontal indexes and the degree of inflammatory factors in gingival crevicular fluid of the two groups post-treatment decreased critically than those of pre-treatment ( P<0.05 ), and the periodontal index and the degree of inflammatory factors in gingival crevicular fluid of the observation group was remarkably lower than those of the control group ( P<0.05 ). The occlusal time and the balance of occlusal force of the two groups decreased significantly post-treatment compared with those of pre-treatment ( P<0.05 ), and the indexes in observation group were dramatically lower than those in control group ( P<0.05 ). The standard deviation of masticatory efficiency in the two groups decreased remarkably post-treatment than that of pre-treatment ( P<0.05 ), and the index in observation group was obviously lower than that in control group ( P<0.05 )., Conclusion: The combined therapy of ultrasonic subgingival curettage and Xipayi gingival rinse can effectively cure moderate to severe chronic periodontitis. Through this treatment, patients can improve periodontal condition and inhibit periodontal inflammation. Meanwhile, patients can improve the stability of occlusion and increase the bite force, thus improving the chewing efficiency. Objective: To study the clinical curative effect of compound Danshen injection on acute cerebral infarction (ACI) patients and its impact on the CRP, D-dimer, and IL-6 levels., Methods: 116 patients with ACI admitted to our hospital were randomly placed in an observation group (n=58) or a control group (n=58). The control group received rosuvastatin tablets (10 mg/time, qd) in addition to the standard treatment. The observation group received compound Danshen injection in addition to the standard treatment. The treatment continued for 21 days. The clinical treatment efficacy, the CRP, D-dimer, and IL-6 levels, the NIHSS scores (to evaluate the degree of neurological impairment), the Fugl-Meyer scores (to access patients' motor function), the ADL scores, the sleep quality (the PSQI and AIS scores), and the complication incidence rates were compared between the two groups., Results: After the treatment, the effective rate in the observation group (89.66%) was significantly higher than it was in the control group (74.14%) (P<0.05). After the treatment, the serum CRP, D-dimer, and IL-6 levels in the two groups were lower than they were before the treatment, and the levels were lower in the observation group than they were in the control group (all P<0.05). After the treatment, the NIHSS scores in the observation group were lower than they were in the control group, and the Fugl-Meyer and ADL scores were higher than they were in the control group (all P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the PSQI and AIS scores in the observation group were lower than they were in the control group after the treatment (P<0.05). The severe diarrhea, bedsore, urinary tract infection, liver and kidney function injury, skin allergic reactions and other total adverse reaction incidence rates in the observation group were lower than they were in the control group., Conclusion: Rosuvastatin combined with compound Danshen injection is effective in ACI treatment. Objective: To explore the relationship between ApoE gene polymorphism and clinical efficacy of statins on lipidemia., Methods: Peripheral venous blood was obtained from 220 patients with hyperlipidemia who were admitted to the outpatient department of our hospital. The potential relationship between ApoE gene polymorphism and clinical effect of statins was analyzed., Results: In the three isomers (E2, E3, E4) of ApoE, expression level of ApoE protein in ApoE4 gene carriers was significantly different from that in E2 or E3 gene carriers (both P<0.05). Background: To investigate the efficacy of glucocorticoid and terbutaline in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD)., Methods: 248 patients with AECOPD were assigned into two groups, 124 patients in the control group were only given terbutaline treatment, while 124 patients in the experimental group were treated with glucocorticoid and terbutaline. The effect on lung function and blood gas indexes were compared between the two groups., Results: The total effective rate of the treatment with glucocorticoid and terbutaline was higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the pulmonary function indexes such as FEV 1 , FVC and PaO 2 levels in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, PaCO 2 levels were significantly lower than that before the treatment (P < 0.05)., Conclusions: The combined use of glucocorticoid and terbutaline could effectively improve the lung function and blood gas indexes. Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of comprehensive rehabilitation nursing (CRN) intervention in patients with cerebral hemorrhagic hemiplegia (CHH)., Methods: A total of 102 patients with CHH admitted to our hospital were selected for the prospective study. The patients were randomly divided into the control group (n=51) and the observation group (n=51) according to the random number table method. Routine nursing was performed in the control group, while CRN was conducted in the observation group. Fugl-Meyer motor function assessment scale, activity of daily living scale (Barthel index), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), complications and muscle strength improvement (Brunnstrom assessment) were compared between the two groups., Results: Compared with those before nursing, Fugl-Meyer score, Barthel index and SAS score in the two groups after nursing were significantly improved (P<0.01). Fugl-Meyer score and Barthel index of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group after nursing, while SAS score showed the opposite change (P<0.001). The incidence of complications in the control group was 49.02%, and that in the observation group was 29.41% (P<0.05). The rate of muscle strength improvement in the observation group was 80.39% after nursing, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (60.78%; P<0.05)., Conclusion: CRN intervention has a positive clinical efficacy in patients with CHH. Objective: To investigate the clinical application value of Pembrolizumab (PEM) in the treatment of advanced cutaneous malignant melanoma (ACMM)., Methods: The data of 56 patients with ACMM were retrospectively analyzed. According to the treatment methods, they were divided into a control group (30 cases) and an observation group (26 cases). Patients in the control group were given chemotherapy with Temozolomide (TEM), and patients in the observation group were treated with PEM on the basis of the treatment provided to the control group. The short-term therapeutic efficacy, long-term survival rate and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups., Results: After treatment, the short-term clinical effective rate was higher in the observation group than that in the control group (P<0.05). In addition, the survival time in the observation group was longer than that in the control group (P<0.001); and the one-year survival rate was higher in the observation group (53.85% vs. 40.00%, P>0.05). No statistical difference was found in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05)., Conclusion: PEM can improve the short-term clinical effective recovery rate, long-term survival time and prognosis survival rate of patients with cutaneous malignant melanoma, with no increased incidence of drug-related adverse reactions. Objectives: This study explored and analyzed the healing effect of Qinglong tail-wagging acupuncture method in therapy of knee osteoarthritis and its influence on inflammatory factors., Methods: 93 elderly patients with acute onset of knee osteoarthritis that hospitalized from March 2017 to June 2019 were admitted and randomly separated into observation group (n=48) and control group (n=45) in line with the method of random data form. The control group was given conventional electro-acupuncture, and the observation group was treated with the qinglong tail-waving acupuncture method. The clinical efficacy, pre- and post-VAS score, Lequesne and WOMAC indexes, and changes in serum inflammatory factor levels pre-and-post treatment were compared between the two sets of subjects., Results: The overall response rate of clinical treatment in observation group was remarkably higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Besides, the VAS, Lequesne as well as WOMAC scores of two groups after treatment were significantly reduced than those in pre-treatment (P < 0.05), and the indexes in observation group were remarkably lower than those in control group (P < 0.05). In addition, the serum IL-6, NO and TNF-α concentration of the two sets of subjects in post-treatment reduced significantly than that in pre-treatment (P < 0.05), and the serum IL-6, NO and TNF-α concentration in observation group were remarkably decreased than those in control group (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: The acupuncture method of Qinglong tail-wagging has good healing effect on remedy of elderly knee osteoarthritis. Objective: This paper aims to explore the influences of multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) from the general practitioner's (GP's) perspective on the clinical efficacy of treating obese patients., Methods: Admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to October 2019, 127 obese patients were divided into two groups based on the different models of diagnosis and treatment each underwent. The routine diagnostic and treatment model was administered to the patients in the control group (60 cases), and the MDT model was administered to the patients in the research group (67 cases). The weight loss success rates in both groups were observed. Before and after the treatment, the blood glucose, blood lipid, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), adiponectin (APN), leptin (LP), and recombinant human fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF-21) levels were measured. The SAS and SDS scores were evaluated., Results: After the treatment, the weight loss success rate in the research group was significantly higher than it was in the control group, and the FPG and the 2hPBG levels were significantly lower in the research group. Compared with the control group, the TC, TG, and LDL-C levels were remarkably lower in the study group, and the HDL-C levels were remarkably higher in the research group. The TNF-α, LP, and FGF-21 levels were significantly lower in the research group, and the APN levels were significantly higher. The research group had significantly lower SAS and SDS scores and higher GSES scores., Conclusion: MDTs from the GP's perspective are conducive to increasing the weight loss success rate and improving the blood glucose, blood lipid and adipokine levels in obese patients., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2021.)

Objective: To explore clinical efficacy of acanthopanax injection for the treatment of acute cerebral infarction and its effect on the changes in endothelin-1 (ET-1), flow-mediated vasodilation (FMD) and nitric oxide (NO) levels., Methods: A total of 120 patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected for prospective study. The patients with conventional treatment regimen were the control group while the observation group was treated acanthopanax injection in addition to the treatment given to the control group. Both groups contained 60 patients. After 14 days of treatment, we observed the clinical effects and measured ET-1, NO, FMD, serum C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS), Mini-mental state examination (MMSE) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) in both groups., Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P=0.020). The improvement of ET-1, FMD, NO, CRP, TNF-α and IL-6 in the observation group was superior to that of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of NIHSS, MMSE and MoCA in the observation group were better than those of the control group (P<0.05)., Conclusion: The treatment of acute cerebral infarction with acanthopanax injection may enhance the clinical efficacy, improve vascular endothelial function, reduce inflammation and nerve damage, and improve cognitive function., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2021.)
