The article reports that the Fayetteville (Arkansas) Public Library has reached the one million mark in terms of number of book checkouts at the library. The library issued its millionth item of 2008 to patron and major donor Jim Blair on December 26, 2008. By early December, staff realized the library would top one million checkouts and began closely monitoring numbers. Blair, who provided the largest private donation for Fayetteville's Blair Library has borrowed "Faubus: The Life and Times of an American Prodigal," by Roy Reed.
