The article discusses strategies for teachers to anticipate and diffuse conflicts with parents in parent-teacher meetings. The author discusses the impact of body language of educators on the tone of parent-teacher communication, the importance of addressing parents and guardians by their names in order to create a personal relation, as well as the negative impact of defensive behavior. Additional topics include the use of empathy in teacher-parent communication and confrontation, and the importance of positivity.
