Manufacturers of state-of-the-art kitchen appliances have started giving more color options to meet consumers' demands. The appliances industry, as observed in the 2007 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show, have caught on the concept of matching cooking equipment with kitchen interiors, and released more colorful products to bring flair to cooking. This trend in kitchen appliances is discussed.

Innovations in appliances, such as coffee makers, refrigerators, induction cooktops, vacuum cleaners, and washers were presented at Germany's IFA consumer electronics trade show in 2009. In the trade show, six halls were allotted to appliance exhibitors. BSH, Philips, Electrolux represented Europe, while Korean companies LG and Samsung participated in the trade show.

Appliance manufacturers displayed their innovations at the first edition of Home Appliances @ IFA held in Berlin, Germany on 29 August-3 September 2008. Companies exhibiting innovative appliances include BSH, Miele, and Liebherr.

European appliance producer Indesit exhibited product line Energy Aware House at the Bright Green Expo in Copenhagen, Denmark in December 2010. Energy Aware House comprises of intelligent appliances that allow efficient usage of renewable energy through smart grids. Indesit has also started studies on an experimental energy-optimizing home appliance interconnection system.

Appliance manufacturers gathered in Berlin, Germany, for IFA 2009, held on 4-9 September 2009. Appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, and cooling platforms were introduced during the fair.

Appliance manufacturers showcased their latest products in an intermediate press conference held in Malta on 18-19 April 2009 for the Appliances @ IFA trade show to be held later that year. Among the participating companies were Panasonic, BSH, Miele, and Philips.

The IFA Berlin consumer electronics show, held from August 29, 2008 to September 3, 2008, added an appliance show, which was welcomed by exhibitors and attendees. Dacor featured its Epicure dual-fuel range with a TiltVue control panel that can swivel up for easier viewing and has a 10-key touch pad for temperature and time management at the 2007 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show.
