Global competition has forced enterprises to constantly innovate business administration and product services, in order to dominate markets and to compete effectively. However, the formulation and execution of strategy and the development of products and services rely largely on a concrete management system that can efficiently produce attractive products within the shortest period of time. Project management is an effective way of achieving these objectives. A temporary task group is formed by borrowing personnel from related divisions, without altering the original organizational structure and adding extra workforce. Various team-building activities are used to quickly transform this group of people into a solid project team and to accomplish the specified project objectives as soon as possible. Traditional assignment of project personnel is based primarily on work experiences and expertise and ignores the role that personalities play in the success of the project. Therefore, this study develops a project assignment quantitative model that maximizes the team’s personality balance by selecting the most suitable personnel from a group of qualified capable candidates, to increase the possibility of success for the project. The results of the example show that the model developed can help a project manager to form a project team in which the members’ personalities are highly balanced, to maximize the project performance.

Through referring to practical projects and analyzing the component proportion ratio of project cost, this paper comes up with the idea that whole process of construction project is all around material management as the key of cost control, puts forward the measures to reduce material costs, and offers reference to cost management of construction project.

Application of project management software, It is greatly meaningful to applying earn value management model to small and medium-sized hydropower stations project.

This paper adopts the methods of horizontal expansion ideas, multi-angle studies and examples validation to study special dynamic factors in a product project. In this paper, reference to relevant examples of actual projects, not only discusses the factors that affect the project investment during each stage of project implementation, but also suggests some corresponding control measures in use of life cycle theory, designed to provide reference for investment control of project construction.

The author tries to develop and implement a web-based Project Cost Integrated Management System (WPCIMS) in China. The targets, the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and its code system, the functional planning, the framework and the technical index of the WPCIMS were presented firstly. Then, experimental implement of this developed system were put forward in 3 A/E/C project. Finally, an empirical interview survey targeting the project managers of the studied 3 cases was carried to estimate its implement performance. Results show that the acceptance and implement of the WPCIMS can significantly improve the performance of the project cost control, and successful implementation of the WPCIMS, in terms of leading to better outcomes for the A/E/C project, Coordination improvement among participators and Reduction of contract disputes, etc, is not simple a matter of introducing the system into an project organization. Instead, it must be associated with overall project management approaches such as a suitable organization mode, an appropriate system, the standard workflows, adequate personal trainings and even a coordinated project management philosophy.

The construction contracts are the important basis of the project risk management and a reasonable contract system can effectively share engineering risks among various project participants. However, the current situation of risk management in China is not optimistic. Based on the analysis of the existing problems in the risk sharing management, the paper introduces Hall three dimension structure into the engineering fields and establishes a three-dimensional (contract dimension, procedure dimension and logic dimension) space structure of the construction project to elaborate the vital role of the contracts in the project risk management. Finally, the paper attempts to put forward a risk sharing mode centered on contract systems to make a reasonable and effective risk distribution among various project participants
